Merge Jean-Baptiste Bottex into Jean Baptiste Bottex. I think this should be straightforward and appear to be the same based on their Wikidata where I am a more experienced editor, but am not familiar enough with Wikipedia merges or navigating the Haitian Creole site to do it myself. --Infopetal (talk) 17:15, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Game System License (GSL) into Open Game License (OGL); dated: November 2020. Proposer's Rationale: There is a large overlap since the GSL is essentially the 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) version of the OGL and the differences can be addressed in the history section. The OGL article would be stronger when combined with the GSL article as it shows the direct develop of the open game system (from the 3rd Edition OGL to the 4th Edition GSL and then back to OGL with 5th Edition D&D). Discuss here. Sariel Xilo (talk) 19:36, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: Opened discussion on November 21, 2020 & notified the project page here. Additionally, it has been included in the project's alert page. No other editor has participated and I wasn't sure how long to wait before closing and merging the articles. Thanks! Sariel Xilo (talk) 19:36, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Cmnt: That project notification was in the middle of a ten year old conversation and on a rarely looked at page (I think). I moved it to Project Talk page get more eyes on it. Let's give it a week, and if no one objects, I think you could proceed with a BOLD merger. Thanks, GenQuest "scribble" 21:03, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request to merge article: Dominican amber into Caribbean amber; dated: December 2020. Proposer's Rationale: There does not seem to be enough here for two separate articles; "Dominican amber" can be a section of "Caribbean amber" if necessary. Articles already share content. Discuss here. Ikjbagl (talk) 19:48, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge British Army Structure In 2010 into Army 2020; dated: October 2020. Proposer's Rationale: This massive orbat uses a majority of archive sources which may not exactly point to 2010. Army 2020 was formed up in 2013 not 2010. The article was formerly titled ' British Army Structure Before Army 2020' but why was 2010 chosen even though a SDSR was produced and not mentioned at all in the merger. More importantly, is this article under WP:GNG or WP:ARTN? At best we merge it with a well formed up article or page Army 2020 under the section 'background' with less on orbat or more on specific units and or regiments. BlueD954 (talk) 04:05, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Working Proposer BlueD954 can consider a BOLD merge, but I caution that two of the agree-to ivotes are from single-purpose accounts with less than 10 edits each. GenQuest "scribble" 05:54, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Group Merge:

Group Merger Discussion to take place here (as all Target Pages do not yet exist)

Please merge Department of Home Affairs (1901–16), Department of Home Affairs (1928–32), Department of Home Affairs (1977–80), into Department of Home Affairs (Australia). These articles all talk about past iterations of the Australian Department of Home Affairs, and are still stubs. It would be better to include all the iterations of the Department of Home Affairs in the one article as separate sections, hence the proposal to merge all these into the current Department of Home Affairs (Australia) Article. Thanks. Jh15s (talk) 22:38, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Please merge Department of Works (1938–39), Department of Works (1945), and Department of Works (1952–73) into Department of Works (currently a disambiguation page with the proposed articles for merger listed). Like my proposal with the Department of Home Affairs, these articles all describe iterations of the Department of Works, and are all stubs, so it would probably be better to merge all of them into one central article as different sections. Please merge Department of Housing and Construction (1973–75), Department of Housing and Construction (1978–82), Department of Housing and Construction (1983–87) into Department of Housing and Construction (like the request with the Department of Works, currently a disambiguation page). Like the above requests, they are all stubs and simply describe iterations of the Australian Department of Housing and Construction.Jh15s (talk) 22:51, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Please merge Department of the Interior (1932–39) and Department of the Interior (1939–72) into the new article Department of the Interior (Australia). Like my above requests, they are all stubs and describe two iterations of the Department. Jh15s (talk) 22:51, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Please merge Department of Supply and Development (1939–42) and Department of Supply and Development (1948–50) into Department of Supply and Development (currently a disambiguation page listing the two articles proposed for a merger). Merge Gerberian Shepsky back into Talk:List of dog crossbreeds: I propose to restore the merger of Gerberian Shepsky back into this list. This recreated article still fails WP:GNG, only one source [1] comes close to providing WP:SIGCOV (addresses the topic directly and in detail) and it's marginal, the majority of the remaining sources make mere mentions. The FBI dog, whilst interesting, does not establish notability of a common crossbreed, and definitely not by this name. Further, the above linked source is the only one that uses the portmanteau "Gerberian Shepsky", the remaining sources only refer the "Husky German Shepherd mixes" or something similar. Merge from NHS Nightingale Hospitals into NHS COVID-19 critical care hospitals COVID-19 hospitals in the United Kingdom.

A somewhat old proposal that lapsed due to thankfully the hospitals thankfully not in the end being required in the spring, but their possible use in immediate consideration for the Autumn which is how I came across these articles and proposal. There is somewhat of a WP:CFORK ongoing currently and resolving that is probably the main consideration. I've !voted myself at the discussion but do not wish to evaluate the consensus but I do suggest a rapid closure one way or the other. Thankyou. Merge from Draft:Clan Hunter to Clan Hunter

Editors will see that the Draft article is somewhat different from the extant article. The draft article has been created in good faith by request of the current clan chief, by a member of the clan on her behalf. That editor has asked for assistance in seeking to add the new material to the extant article or replacing old material by new.
I have been approached by the COI editor to see if I can determine a manner in which this can be performed, even if it can be performed.
I think that a requested merge with the foregoing facts disclosed may be an appropriate mechanism.
My nomination is a technical one. I am steadfactly neutral in any discussion about it. I have copied the merge rationale from Talk:Clan Hunter § Request to merge from Draft:Clan Hunter Fiddle Faddle 16:37, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Drumline into Marching percussion. These two articles are just too similar in my opinion. They both go over the same instruments, one being slightly focused on musical roles (drumline) and the other on the actual instrument (marching percussion). Merge Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen (364k) into Second Saudi–Yemeni War (50k+). Both articles talk about the same thing. I prefer the title of “Second Saudi Yemeni war” over the other since its mostly what’s used today on the internet and in conversations User: Ehoah88880 (talk) 12:42, 23 September 2020 (GTC)

Comment: This is a problematic request: 1) The suggested source article, Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen, is already at 364K+ in size, which means it is wa-a-a-ay past being into splitting territory, not merging; and 2) this article is a B-class rated article, so suggesting it be merged into a C-Class rated article (at 50K size) is probably not even going to be considered. Proposer, @Ehoah88880: should perhaps consider doing a merge in the opposite direction, making Second Saudi–Yemeni War the source article, and then listing the resultant merged article at Wikipedia:Proposed article splits. This request as stated is highly unlikely to gain traction, however, proposer is free to act Boldly—in any of the options listed above—and see what sticks. In the meantime, this is listed as:

Merge Statue of Charles Linn into Charles Linn: I did this merge given the brevity of the first article but was reverted, though the merged material was left in place in the latter article. I don't really see a reason for two articles, especially since the statue article isn't really about it per se but about its removal, presumably because Linn was a confederate officer, which is only explained in his own article. • Comment: Proposer @SMcCandlish: should consider proceeding with a BOLD merge as there is currently no opposition expressed to a merge. GenQuest "Talk to Me" 07:39, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I did think and am still thinking about it, but I'm very aware through painful experience that "geeky, obsessive hobby" stuff has a tendency to result in angry recriminations, editwarring, lasting resentments, etc., any time major changes are made and someone feels they did not get to have their say. I would rather leave it open for some time, in case a clear rationale against the merge can be made, or an unclear one made and refuted. (PS: I am not picking on stamp collectors in calling them geeky and obsessive; I used to be one, and am still a collector of various other stuff. The very nature of being a collector is geeky and obsessive. >;-)  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  07:52, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge Shimada to Nihongami - Shimada is a specific category of traditional Japanese hairstyles, but there isn't nearly enough content for it to warrant its own article, and Nihongami covers traditional hairstyles on the whole anyway. I've already merged the content from Shimada to Nihongami a while back (without a proper merge edit summary, oops), so all that's left to do is blank Shimada and put a proper redirect in. I'm unable to do this, however, as I'm on mobile. Sorry for the bother. --Ineffablebookkeeper (talk) 10:13, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Please merge Liverpool Overhead Railway electric units into Liverpool Overhead Railway, under "Rolling Stock". The information on the Electric units article largely mirrors the information on the main Liverpool Overhead Railway article, and any information differences could be moved into the "Rolling Stock" section on the Liverpool Overhead Railway. Merge Please merge Liverpool Overhead Railway Southern Extension Tunnel into Dingle railway station. The Southern Extension Tunnel is a part of the Dingle railway station and does not need a separate article as they are technically the same. The article on the tunnel is also short and without any citations so it would be better for it to be moved into a separate section in the Dingle railway station article. Thanks! • Creating a discussion fork on the other article for a limited time period, ignoring the previous discussion, leaving the new forked discussion in place for a short period only; possibly leaving a comment implying I am a Scouser, loss of categories not moved to redirect; failure to precisely and fully follow WP:PROMERGE though arguably that is part of an information page. Please Merge Rapid KL, Public transport in the Klang Valley( Done per discussion.), Transport in Kuala Lumpur( Done per discussion.), and Buses in Klang Valley( Done per discussion.) into Klang Valley Integrated Transit System. All of the abovementioned articles are either duplicates of each other or describe specific components of the Integrated Transit System, and merging all these articles with information already present in the Destination Page, and creating new sections for information not currently present in the Destination Page would centralise all the information about Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley Area's public transit system as a whole, and remove any confusion for readers. Merge The Rubin Report into Dave Rubin. S. Rich proposed this merge three years ago, though the proposal didn't get much attention. I opposed it at the time, not realizing how exclusive The Rubin Report is to Dave Rubin and how much overlap there is between the information in each article. I now propose that we do in fact merge The Rubin Report into Dave Rubin. The fact that Dave Rubin's Twitter handle is @RubinReport says it all. Michipedian (talk) 20:04, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Clube Atlético Bragantino and Red Bull Bragantino. The first article lists the club as a defunct football club, which is incorrect. What was said back then to justify the creation of a new page is that it was a merger between Red Bull and Bragantino, but it was not, since the former actually plays in the state second division, and Bragantino's property remains with the club. What happened was a financial takeover and a rebranding of Bragantino, similar to what has happened twice to Paulista Futebol Clube, which never got a separate article. Same goes for FC Red Bull Salzburg, which retains the history of the club prior to its rebranding. Bragantino is not a defunct club and should Red Bull quit supporting the club financially, it will just go back to its original name and identity. My suggestion is merge the new page into the old one and rename it. Horcoff (talk) 01:34, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge into LPS Cetate Deva. There are two competing articles about this subject (the football team based in Deva, Romania). Mureșul Deva was established in 1921 and had over time various other names such as Corvinul Deva, Minerul Deva, Explorari Deva. In the summer of 1992, Mureșul Deva withdrew from the third tier (Liga III) and started to play only at amateur level, until 1994, when the newly promoted club Vega Caransebeș merged with Mureșul Deva and enrolled in the third tier as Vega Deva, but continuing the football legacy of Deva. In 1999 the club was renamed, this time as Cetate Deva, in 2001 again as Mureșul Deva and in the summer of 2002 merged with the newly promoted club CS Certej, CS Certej was absorbed and Mureșul Deva continued as CS Deva. In 2006 the club is renamed as CS Mureșul Deva, but was not re-founded, it was just renamed, then in 2012 it was dissolved, but re-founded again in 2013, as Cetate Deva. Deva is a small town in Romania and Muresul/Cetate (and the other names) was the only team ever. Cetate is the successor of Muresul. I propose a single article on LPS Cetate Deva page, in which to expand the history, but with four foundation years (1921 as Muresul Deva, 1994 as Vega Deva, 2002 as CS Deva and 2013 as Cetate Deva). <refRomanian football clubs names over time. romaniansoccer.ro (in Romanian)/ref>ref>Article from 2011, Mureșul is celebrating 90 years. zhd.ro (in Romanian)/ref> Rhinen (talk) 21:09, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
