Filter working as intended. It looks like you checked the "Let this page be indexed by search engines" box under "avdanced settings" in VisualEditor. Per consensus, new users are not permitted to add pages to Google, Bing, and other search engines, without approval from more experienced editors. The page is also blatantly promotional and most of it is a clear copyright violation of https://johnsonentertainment.net/. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 19:53, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

- It looks like the filter thinks that British Academy Television Awards 2000 is the name of a school, and tripped on the phrase "Little Boy" in one of series titles. Thanks for the report. @Zzuuzz: The regex for this filter contains phrases that seem plausible in film/show/book titles. Searching through the last few thousand hits for titles containing "Award", most seem to be false positives. See this FP, plus 1 2 3 4 5 6 7. In some cases, the warning scared off the user, and they didn't save edit. 8 is not a FP, but was stopped by filter 384 anyway. So perhaps the filter should skip titles containing "Award" or at least titles containing both "Academy" and "Award". Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 20:25, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks. That is indeed a viable solution. I've opted to make a different change to the filter,[2] noting that most academy schools use that word at the end of their name and not the middle. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:39, 20 October 2018 (UTC)

- Yes, it was the profanity in the title. I'd make the edit for you, but it looks like every entry in List of concept albums is sourced, so my edit would get reverted on sight. Do you have reliable soure calling Fuck Everyone and Run (F E A R) a "concept album"? All I could find were blogs and user-editable sites, but I didn't do a thorough search. (Courtesy ping Sergecross73, who has done a good job sourcing that article, and might be able to suggest a source.) Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 23:04, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, it was my multi-year, multi-hundred reference effort to source every entry on that list, or remove ones where I couldn’t. This album certainly sounds like one, but I’m having a hard time finding a source that directly states it. I fully support its inclusion if the IP or anyone else can provide that. Feel free to reach out directly to me about it on my talk page if this can’t be found until later on. Sergecross73 msg me 23:43, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
- A lot of reviews refer to it as a concept album (as do all of us fans when discussing it, though I appreciate that's not a source). Not sure if reviews are considered acceptable sources though? Thake this one for example http://www.culturecatch.com/music/marillion-fear, which very clearly talks about FEAR as a concept album. (I would dispute whether many other albums on this list qualify though, great albums though they might be otherwise, but didn't want to get into any controversial removals :) )

- @Sbbarker19: The filter was objecting to this reference:
DiCanio, Margaret, (2005). Encyclopedia of American Activism: 1960 to the Present, p.342. iUniverse, Inc. ISBN 0-595-34951-X
. iUniverse is a self-publishing company, but if you feel the source is reliable, just ignore the warning. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 18:27, 31 October 2018 (UTC)- @JzG: Perhaps MediaWiki:Abusefilter-warning-selfpublished should let good-faith editors know which sources tripped the filter. And, since we aren't going to be making exceptions in the filter for individual books, there's no need to for the user to report the "error", unless they really weren't citing anything self-published: Rough idea:
Warning: An automated filter has identified this edit as containing a reference to one of the following self-publishing companies: AuthorHouse, Trafford Publishing, iUniverse, Lulu.com or Xlibris. Please be aware that self-published sources may be vanity publishing and rarely meet Wikipedia's standards for reliable sources. If you have checked the source and are confident it is appropriate, please click 'Publish changes' again. If you were not adding a reference to a self-published source, please report this error. |

- First, I was trying to update the page about Anna Delvey to include accurate information about this woman’s past and entire basis for being famous.
I tried to adding accurate information facts regarding her status as a criminal with multiple additional details regarding the specific crimes.
All information I included in the update is verifiable with the FBI and the State of New York. These records are online so it seems a bit odd for me to have this truthful page update removed more than once.
Second, I received a message from SoWhy, telling me that the update I submitted has been removed. I tried to post a message to his/her account and that message was flagged.

- First, I corrected a piece of crucial dialogue from the novel. (It contains an offensive word, and this is why it is key to the plot.) What was written previously was not only inconsistent with the literature but also appeared to be a joke attempted by another user. Second, I specified the setting of the novel. What was written previously did not indicate the very significant location of the narrative; what was written previously also appeared to be a distracting joke.

- Not a false positive, filter is behaving as intended. We need to monitor changes being made to revision deletion templates to make sure that template parameters (the revision IDs) aren't being changed to stop the RevDel initially requested. It's essentially the RevDel equivalent of the CSD template being removed Edit Filter, and as with that filter, just triggering the it is no indication of any wrongdoing. - Description
- Under the section, "Literature", I was attempting to add a reference to Joseph Conrad's novel, The Ni**er of the Narcissus. I understand why it was automatically flagged, but since there is already another article for the novel, using the same word, I think this is a false positive. Here is the text I was adding:
Joseph Conrad's novel The Nigger of the 'Narcissus' features a merchant ship named Narcissus. An incident involving the ship, and the difficult decisions made by the crew, explore themes involving self-interest vs. altruism and humanitarianism.

- Delayed ejaculation (filter log)
- Description
- I am trying to edit the section of causes to make the paragraph more presentable and more explanatory.
I know the topic of the article may cause some automated flagging.
Here is my proposed edit below:
Lawrence Sank (1998) wrote about the "Traumatic masturbatory syndrome", when the sensations a man feels when masturbating may bear little resemblance to the sensations he experiences during intercourse. Factors such as pressure, angle and grip on the penis, such as the "death-grip", during masturbation can make for an experience so different from sex with a partner that the ability to ejaculate is reduced or eliminated.
