Project Dorothy moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Project Dorothy, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The article Wendy Maree Wilkins has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable performer/creator. Sources do not indicate independent SIGCOV. Notability is not inherited to her from her (non-notable) movie from its co-stars.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 02:41, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Max Karpylev
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Max Karpylev, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. GPL93 (talk) 21:50, 18 September 2023 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Ricktheelectric. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Please disclose any conflicts of interest you may have with any of the people you wrote drafts for. User:Oaktree b, User:Liz, User:Premeditated Chaos, there is little doubt in my mind that we have a case of WP:UPE here. Drmies (talk) 19:52, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hello Drmies,
- I'm afraid there has been a misunderstanding here. I don't have connections to Mark Gantt or any of these other people who I write Wikipedia pages about. However I am glad that I can have a chance to talk to you because you removed some of the text on Mark Gantt's page. I just want to let you know that I thought it was alright to recategorize certain text on Wikipedia and move it into a new category. I saw other people doing this and I thought it wasn't a violation. I apologize if this is not allowed. I really didn't know and if that is the case I won't do that in the future. I was also wondering can I keep editing Mark Gantt's Wikipedia page? I just want to include some notable films that he did. I found them on the internet today from sources like Deadline. Please feel free to share your thoughts on this. Ricktheelectric (talk) 20:30, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- Can you please elaborate on the process by which you decide which subjects to write about? Your contributions thus far are highly consistent with the pattern of behavior we see from paid editors, to the point that a simple disavowal of a COI is not particularly persuasive. signed, Rosguill talk 14:58, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello Rosguill,
- Yes of course. I am more than happy to elaborate on my process. Well I am the sort of person who uses the same process every time I write a Wikipedia page. I personally enjoy writing about Hollywood, entertainment, and even fashion sometimes. One of the reasons why I picked this topic is because people who work in entertainment have a tendency to be notable so I thought this would work for Wikipedia since notability is very important here.
- First what I do is I go online and browse through as many articles as I can on Deadline, the Hollywood Reporter, and Variety. When I read those articles I check for either names of potentially notable people in entertainment or even production companies. I type that name on the Google search engine to see if there is already a Wikipedia page about that person or organization. Then I type that name in the search engine on Google again and I check how many useful and reliable sources I can find that cover this person or organization in depth. After that I write a Wikipedia page to the best of my ability and then submit it and see what the outcome is.
- By the way I also happen to have a natural talent for writing so I find it very fun to do Wikipedia pages.
- I hope this helps. I'm looking forward to getting your feedback. Ricktheelectric (talk) 18:38, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

RE: Prettybird
[edit]Hi @Ricktheelectric, I wanted to let you know that I have moved your article to the draft space, https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Prettybird&redirect=no The reason is because the copy editing was not up to standards of Wikipedia See: WP:Manual of Style, (Also the citations did not demonstrate notability described).
Furthermore, the article currently reads like an advert, and does not conform to WP:NPOV
Per WP:Draftify, you may move the article back to the mainspace, but I recommend you work on it in drafts, if you move it back to mainspace, and the issues described persist, it will likely be taken to AfD.
Ive listed the guidelines here, you may also want to look at Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies)

Article creation
[edit]Hello, Ricktheelectric,
You seem to write a lot of draft articles on actors that Wikipedia does not consider notable, particularly actors who act in local productions or are in small, independent or student films. Even actors who work in Hollywood, big production films are not considered notable if their parts are small or uncredited. I encourage you to review WP:NACTOR so you better understand what our AFC reviewers are looking for. I don't mean to discourage you, you are just creating a lot of biographical articles that get deleted and it seems like your time and research skills could be better spent improving existing articles.
If you have questions on Wikipedia's notability standards or article creation, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 03:21, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
- Also, just because an actor had a bit part in a film which stars important actors and actresses does not matter at all on Wikipedia. Being in a production with more famous people doesn't make a person notable or famous. Liz Read! Talk! 03:24, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
