Hi again Ravi - and thanks so much for your kind thoughts. Please don't apologise for the lack of time - I know how life and work can take up one's life - why else would I have spent 30 years writing one book? I just wish you all the very best in your endeavors - and hope life brings happiness and fulfillment to you - whatever you do - and that you don't lose your interest in history because of the demands of the rat race of life. I send you my very best wishes and thanks again for your encouragement (and, by the way, it was wonderful to hear that you happened upon me through my 1988 article on the history of Khotan in the Indo-Iranian Journal - I've often wondered whether anyone had ever taken any notice of it - it is most gratifying to hear you found it). Cheers, John Hill (talk) 14:08, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
I second this by my good friend John. You will be missed on here for sure.Dr. Blofeld (talk) 20:35, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Contest proposal
[edit]A proposal has been posted for a contest between all 200 country WikiProjects. We need to know how this contest should be run, and what problems to look out for. And we're looking for judges, coordinators, ideas, and feedback.
(And we have some really cool awards for the contest).

There is NO direct bus to Marathalli from JNR 4th Block. YOu'll have to come to one of these three places:
- East End - Any bus from the signal [opposite Cool Joint, infront of the Titan Eye+ store on 11th main] that goes to BTM, JP Nagar or Bannerghatta Road like 24, 25, 27, 364, 369 and their series will do.
- JNR 5th Block - Any JP Nagar 6th phase or Jumbusavari Dinne bus will go there. It is the junction where there is an Apple iStore by Reliance Digital. Buses will need to be caught from the main bus stand on 9th Main.
- Banashankari - Several buses to Marathalli start here, and all of them come this way as well as via the above two. You can catch all 13, 210, FDR buses from the main bus stand on 9th Main road.
From any of these three points you will get a direct bus to Marathalli, which will be in the 500, 501, 502 series. There are several Volvo's along this route. You can see a list here... Banashankari is listed as BSK.
I hope this helps...

Iyengar Origin NPOV
[edit]You are invited here for your inputs.I am probably not as knowledgeable as you are on this topic, but am annoyed by POV edits made by Svr014. Since you have been editing that page significantly, your inputs are highly appreciated. I have also filed a Mediation Cabal case here but its not taken up yet. Srikanth (speak) 06:16, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for your note there. Nice meeting you. /me Bows to your passion in history. Srikanth (speak) 21:17, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
With all due respect, I have been following the guidelines of some of the experts at WP and also from scholars. Srikanth Please do not make illegitimate claims about me. If you would like to discuss in a professional manner, please post polite comments and not discriminatory comments. Srikanth, you have confessed that you do not know much about Iyengars, I do not see the reason why you file cases without any understanding of the topic. Please learn to respect WP users. You first told me to bring sources, and now I have brought reliable sources. I have also given the sources to one of the pals who knows well about WP technocracy. Srikanth, please do not kindle disputes on WP. It is against civility and may be harmful to you. Svr014 (talk) 14:27, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
I have removed the suspected sock tag from this user's page since he is denying that he has used sock accounts. I personally am unfamiliar with the editing history of Vyaghradhataki (talk · contribs), so I cannot say whether SVR014 is or isn't a sock of that user. An WP:SPI would be the proper venue to get an informed review. Regards. Abecedare (talk) 16:54, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Dear Ravichandar84, you claim that Svr014 is a sockpuppet. Svr014 has posted a number of times on my talk page, but I don't know much about the articles he edits. Can you provide evidence? Without any evidence, it is not fair to accuse someone of being a sockpuppet. If you have any evidence, please file a sockpuppet report. It will allow other editors to analyze your evidence. Have a nice day! AdjustShift (talk) 05:39, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Ravichandar84, please note that I am a new user. I am NOT an Indian, as you claim. My IP address is completely different from that of Vyaghradhataki. You are proving to be biased and accusing me for no professional reason. Please have good-faith in me and please do not blindly accuse me. I joined WP only in May 2009. I tried to contribute to diverse WP articles. Please remove the sock accusation. My account is clean and is correct. Svr014 (talk) 14:31, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
