Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:15, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
Blood on Snow moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Blood on Snow, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the confirms on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. - @Meatsgains: Nice to meet you too! As mentioned on the articles talk page, the information in The Glaucus Block comes from the Swedish article sv:Kvarteret Glaucus. Is this enough, or should I add other sources as well? Pinecone23 (talk) 18:53, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, that works. I would suggest providing more sources as well if possible. Meatsgains(talk) 17:15, 22 December 2018 (UTC)

A page you started (Mjölkö) has been reviewed!
[edit]Thanks for creating Mjölkö.
I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
The provided sources do not mention Mjölkö, although one of them appears to merely be a dead link. At any rate, the Swedish-language article has plenty more sources that can be used.

- @CASSIOPEIA: Hello and thank you for reviewing the article! I have a query: since it's a translated article (as mentioned in the article's talk page), most of the sources come from the corresponding Swedish page. Why doesn't this count as "enough sources and citations"? Pinecone23 (talk) 10:27, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Pinecone23, Greetings and thank you for the question above. All Wikipedia languages sites operate independently from each other, thus each site has their own guidelines. For English (EN) Wikipedia, for a page to be merit a page in the mainspace, the subject needs to be notable, the content needs to support by (1) significant coverage of (2) independent (secondary sources), (3) reliable sources, which the sources talk "directly" about the subject and not merely passing mentioned. (4) the content also needs to be free of copyright infringement and (5) written in neutral point of view - NO WP:PROMOTION. What you would do is to add the sources from the Swedish Wikipedia to EN Wikipedia page. Sources can be in any languages. See referencing on how to provide inline citation and for source from internet, you can use "horizontal" Template:Cite Web template.Once the inline citations are provided then submit the draft for review. Let me know if anything else I could help. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:42, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

- @CASSIOPEIA: Looking at Special:PermaLink/896415470, the revison of Street lighting in Stockholm when you draftified it, I see no WP:PROMO. Please elaborate why you make a point of it. Sam Sailor 08:08, 8 June 2019 (UTC) (please ping on reply)
- Sam Sailor Greetings. I just layout all the important info for an editor to note the requirements/guardline for an aritlce to be acceptable. I later add the "NO" before "WP:PROMOTION as I missed the "NO" out in my initial message. Why the way, may I ask why the questions was being raised? Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 08:23, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

Because the wording is clumsy and leaves the impression that you are warning the editor of promo. They have been here for almost three years, so the newbie instructions should not be needed unless there is a specific issue that meeds to be addressed. Sam Sailor 08:36, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- Sam Sailor That was not meant as a warning but just listed important notes/requirements. I added as they were no sources provided on the article which most of us would think a editor of three years would know - see here [1]. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 08:43, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- @CASSIOPEIA: If you are moving new articles to draft space only because they are unsourced, then I believe you are misunderstanding WP:DRAFTIFY, which I urge you to re-read before you move more articles. Do you mind me asking what your first language is? Sam Sailor 08:57, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- Sam Sailor Hi, as per WP:NPPDRAFT "A newly-created article may be about a generally acceptable topic, but be far from sufficiently developed or sourced for publication. Such pages can be moved to the draft namespace". I dont really have a first language as I am multilingual, growing in an environment (family and school) that we would communicate few different languages on one conversation setting. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:30, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- @CASSIOPEIA: Notice that WP:NPPDRAFT specifically states "Such pages can be moved to the draft namespace". Do you understand the difference between "can", "should" and "must"? Please notice that WP:DRAFTIFY says "The page is obviously unready for mainspace. It does not meet WP:STUB; or it would have very little chance of survival at AfD; or it meets any speedy deletion criterion." I do not believe it is good practice to draftify an article with 4694 characters (787 words) "readable prose size" as was the size of Street lighting in Stockholm just because it is unsourced. What other options could you have used? Sam Sailor 09:50, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- Sam Sailor Hi, I refer to WP:NPPDRAFT and you refer to WP:DRAFTIFY. If it states "can" then one could perform the action but it is not a "must" or "should" - I guess you are treating me as a second grade English class student here, say ya. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:30, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
