Asterisks at the requests page

Hi Dhtwiki, just to let you know the archiving bot at REQ ignores subsections that include asterisks. I'm not sure how we could tell requesters and copy-editors this; perhaps regular patrolling is the way to go. :) Cheers, Baffle☿gab 06:01, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Baffle gab1978: Okay. Good to know. But what I have been doing is clicking on the {{Working}} and {{Done}} templates provided by the menu that appears at the top when one presses the "edit" button for a particular section. That provides the asterisks along with the relevant Working/Done label and four tildes signature. We should then either change that menu or instruct people to edit out the asterisks. I see; thanks for telling me that, I always type them out manually. It will probably be easier to change that than change editors' behavior! :) Anyway it's a page notice so I can't do anything about it.
