2009 Papua/Indonesia earthquake

Hello OOODDD, and thanks for the article on the earthquake. Since 2009 Papua earthquake is the earlier article, please edit it to add new material to it. If it is necessary to rename the page we can do so, following Wikipedia procedures to preserve the edit history. Thanks for following standard procedures on this. Obesity in Canada

Unsure why you created this page with so little information? See obesity than go down to the epidemiology section. Maybe you could add a map of obesity rates in each province at a few different time periods thus showing how the rate of obesity has changed over time.--Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:49, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of X17

A tag has been placed on X17, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 00:24, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Thank you very much for rating Girls Aloud's Tangled Up for me. I know the page has flaws and I appreciate you rating it a 'B', but could you tell me specifically what needs more work? I usually don't get involved with this aspect of Wikipedia, but I am a big Girls Aloud fan and would like to make it an even better article. Thank you! BambooBanga (talk) 07:30, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Your information about terrorist attack in 2009 is wrong.

It was South Korean investigators and the relatives of the victims of previous attack on the convoy, not the survivors of the attack of March 15. You put the wrong data despite the source itself was correct of information.

BookManiac42 here! Thanks for adding that future episode box onto the Chip/Tuck page! I'm a bit new here and I never found out how to do that myself, although I've always wondered. MV Maersk Alabama / Miramar

Hi, I've just tweaked your Miramar reference by using the {{cite Miramar}} template. The reason for this template is that the page the number generated directs to changes on a monthly basis, and in a few weeks the link will point to a totally different ship to MV Maersk Alabama. Just thought you'd like to know this for when you use Miramar as a reference in the future. Best, Mjroots (talk) 15:23, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

FAC nomination of Armin van Buuren

I appreciate that you are acting in good faith, but it is best if featured articles are nominated by people who have worked closely on them. In this way, they can give reasoned replies to reviewers and be familiar enough with the sources to act on suggested improvements. Someone who has not worked on the article can not provide this input, so the nomination may continue until opposition to it becomes so overwhelming that the article is failed; this takes away time from reviewers. While the Armin van Buuren article is of reasonable quality, it is not yet of featured quality, and principal contributors must be consulted before a nomination, as required in the featured article candidate instructions. I hope you will consider working with the other editors of the article so that it could be brought up to meet the featured article criteria. Good luck! Maralia (talk) 23:26, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Project tags

Hello, could you please explain your rationale behing delisting articles from projects of which you're not a member, and without any reference to, or discussion about, the project's policy? I'm refering to Not a Sinner Nor a Saint, Ménage à Trois &c., which were listed in WP:SWEDEN as they 1) appear under the Category:Sweden hierarchy, and 2) are picked up by the project's NewBot search criteria. While I'm somewhat torn on the subject if this project should include songs and albums by Swedish artists, or just the artist articles themselves, I'm not in the least interested in having non-members of the project delisting articles from it. Speedy deletion of Newgen Restaurant Services

A tag has been placed on Newgen Restaurant Services requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

April 2009

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. JNW (talk) 00:40, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Born into brothels.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Born into brothels.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:09, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Hillsong United 2007 Tour

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hillsong United 2007 Tour, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable tour. Not disputing notability of the band, but wikipedia is not a directory of tour dates.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. tedder (talk) 07:21, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Warning re: Strawberry Swing (song) and removing redirects

When you revert other editors, as you did here, it's a good idea to check the article's history in case there's a good reason for the other editor's edit.

In this case you were changing a redirect to an article; the redirect was created because the single fails WP:NSONGS. Strawberry Swing has already been protected because of "fandalism"; I've now requested that Strawberry Swing (song) also be protected to prevent it being turned back into an article (another editor recreated the redirect, by the way).

List of terrorist incidents, 2009

Please don't add ordinary criminal / crazy person shootings that were not politically motivated to the list. That's not what the list is for.

Thank you. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 03:00, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

I assume there is somewhere for these kind of spree shooting incidents in Wikipedia but I don't know where. You'll have to have a look around. There is a Category:Spree_shootings which might be a good place to start. Sean.hoyland - talk 03:24, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

The Holocaust Museum shooting was politically motivated - the shooter was an avowed white supremacist and holocaust denier, and he shot a black security guard at the museum. I have restored it to the article.
Please slow down and discuss on the talk page. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 03:48, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Hello OOODDD,

you're free to translate wikipedia articles from foreign-language wikipedias into English, but please name the source. You've translated my whole german article of de:Samuel Maoz, without any references in the history or on the discussion page. That's a copyright violence (take a look into the Creative Commons Deed). Please make references in the edit summaries (the url and the main author's name) or use the Template:Translated page. I've did it for you just now. If you have translated in the past more articles into English without references about the real author's names please add the Template:Translated page on the discussion pages. (Years) in the United Kingdom articles

Hi 3O3D. I noticed that you compiled/wrote these pages and, as I've noted on Talk:1975 in the United Kingdom, I hope to begin to review and update them. This is mostly because the online source - the BBC's On This Day pages (based upon a 1980s afternoon quiz show of the same name)- is a compliation of a selection of the BBC's contemporaneous reporting so certain events, eg. reports of crimes being committed need to be updated, eg. for subsequent convictions. I also hope to find and use other sources to expand the articles too. Anyway, I just thought I'd let you - as the originator of these pages - know of my plans; I'd be interested in any comments or contributions you may have. All the best, Plutonium27 (talk) 13:27, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
