The number has been kept deliberately low to give us a fighting chance of improving them to at least GA status, also so we can concentrate our efforts on these first.
WikiProject Yorkshire Collaboration of the Month Project
The February 2016 articles selected below are an editor choice as there were no further suggestions from the project talk page.
The project is subscribed to a clean-up listing which lists articles tagged with various clean-up tags that need attention. The listing is refreshed by a bot on a regular basis.
Monitoring is essential Use the watchlist to keep an eye on changes to the project's articles so that vandalism and spamming can be removed as quickly as possible.
Moves Please be careful when performing articles moves and ensure that you also move all the talk sub-pages and update any image fair use rational. Otherwise the archives, to-do lists, assessment comments and GA reviews get lost and the image may be deleted as it has an incorrect FUR. You will also have to check that the Commons link is set correctly.

Array mbira article deletion
I strongly object to your deletion of the Array mbira article (which is still backed up here) without even a discussion. This is a new and very interesting musical invention, it is exactly the sort of thing there should be a Wikipedia article about. Why was your first reaction to delete it without bothering to see if it was salvageable, e.g. if it was possible to find non-manufacturer sources? This really bothers me. There are mentions of it in the press, go to Google News and see ([1]). [2][3][4][5]. It's also mentioned in this academic article (page 4). Can the article please be brought back, or can there at least be a proper deletion discussion? Esn (talk) 07:35, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
@Esn: you're directing your ire at the wrong person. I didn't propose this article for deletion, I'm just the technician who deleted it in line with the process at WP:PROD, after the proposal had been made and after at least seven days (in this case 10 days) during which nobody had objected to the proposed deletion or made changes to the article. I'm not obliged to investigate whether any article proposed for deletion is salvageable because that is what the grace period is for, to allow development or contest of the PROD by anyone interested. However as a non controversial deletion it can be restored and I have re-instated the article. Nthep (talk) 14:25, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
Hello Nthep! Thank you for the opportunity that through the Teahouse I can write to you. I am new here and I am working on a 6 years old article that was not properly sourced. I found more than 40 secondary sources that I have now built in. My problem is that almost no one controls what I am doing, thou I have changed more than a half of the article, thus, I should like kindly ask you, that if your time allows, just take a glance to the article and tell me your advises. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Zolt%C3%A1n_Deme and https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Zolt%C3%A1n_Deme My other problem is that this tag "Find sources: "Zoltán Deme" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images" proved to be useless for reaching the sources of the 1960-1980 decades, especially the sources of the past communist countries in East Europe where most of the libraries very poorly digitized. For example "Scholar" gives 1 citation, though just with 10 minutes research I got immediately 20 citations! :6 page 65 7 p.2 8 p.23 9 p.1 10 p.289 11 p.5 12 p.2 13 p.353 14 p.35 15 p.1 16 p.46 17 p.75 18 p.63 19 p.84 20 p.64
21 p.1 22 p.48 23 p.317 24 p.196 25 p.101. (Plus I got many items, as "required reading" in the universities, like 26 p.1 27 p.1 28 p.48 29 and so on). For other example, Books, Google Books gives 3 items, while this site (and others) show the pictures and data of more than 20 items! 30 31 32 This misleads almost everyone, presents the subject non-notable with only one citation and three books, thus, I had to go over this problem and collect printed material. Would you kindly investigate the improved article, is my work now sufficient? I saw your contributions, so any advice, any proposal, any suggestion would be appreciated! Thanks for reading this, sincerely yours, Norbert.89.133.187.29 (talk) 12:16, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 10
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Gryphon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page National Union of Students. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi Nthep, you deleted the Talk Page of the "Category:NC-stub". I gave the examples of Templates/Categories of Partially Recognized Countries (PRC) (Kosovo, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Transnistria, Taiwan) and territories (Kurdistan, Aruba, Alberta, Acadia) so that nobody delete the template/category of one PRC erronously. It would be wise too keep the templates/categories of above PRCs to give the others enough food of thought. I did not understand your deletion enough. Regards...Woodgridge (talk) 19:41, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
@Woodgridge: It's not necessary as the categories for PRCs is not something that is disagreed with. Also by adding all those templates you add that page into the categories for those PRCs. And before you go wild tagging articles with your new template WikiProject Northern Cyprus you need to get a consensus that a separate Wikiproject for Northern Cyprus is needed and that the current state of incorporating it within the Wikiproject on Cyprus isn't sufficient. Nthep (talk) 19:47, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
Many Thanks. I did not come into my mind during the edit that "by adding all those templates you add that page into the categories for those PRCs". Also, thanks for your second suggestion as well. I got very enlightened.Woodgridge (talk) 20:04, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
@Woodgridge: As you've already seen the separation of Northern Cyprus from Cyprus within articles can be a hot topic, so although I have no experience within this particular area, I can see that if you go solo about it, you'll run into opposition which prior discussion might avoid. So you say not to include huge amounts of information from the company's own website, instead the articles are about what others write about the subject. What is wrong with info from the company? that is the information that is needed when looking up the subject is it not? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charlene.Gage (talk • contribs) 17:27, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
In the future, if you need help with citations or scans from military history books. Please feel free to leave a talk message for me as I can help, especially on WWI and US topics. TeriEmbrey (talk) 21:23, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Why the page about my granddad Artyom Spiridonovich Pasechnik has been removed? This is my text. I wrote it myself and this is my photo from a family album! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Black Oak (talk • contribs) 16:11, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
@Black Oak: If it is your text then you have already published it online at ____________ ________________________5.html As that site does not give a specific indication that the content is freely licenced then until established otherwise we have to assume that the material is copyrighted. If the website is yours then you can add an appropriate licence (see -WP:DONATETEXT) to the website. If the website isn't yours then you are going to have to prove that the text is yours but at the moment I can't think of a method how unless you can show the email address you used to add the content with and then use that email address to contact Wikipedia a described at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries. Better would be to write a fresh set of content without reusing the other. While as a Hero of the Soviet Union your grandfather meets the notability criteria the text as you had it was completely unreferenced and sources would have to be provided. @Editor.SichatYitzchak: Please see WP:NOTMEMORIAL - Wikipedia is not the place to create memorial to people. If Yitzchak Donsky is a notable person then creating an article about him would be correct but only if it meets with Wikipedia policies - one of which is not including invites to download works by request.
