Information icon Thanks for contributing to the article Torrey Craig‎‎. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Please help by adding more sources to the article you edited, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the claims (see here for how to do inline referencing). If you need further help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse, or just ask me. Thank you. —Bagumba (talk) 06:47, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Bagumba. I noticed that you recently removed content from Malik Monk without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —Bagumba (talk) 06:50, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

it is not confirmed by any sources that Malik Monk is gonna wear #11 with the Los Angeles Lakers, instead it was confirmed that Joel Ayayi is wearing that number as it was seen in all NBA Summer League games he played, so you better check your facts and sources while putting #11 to a Los Angeles Lakers player Inspectormusic (talk) 22:12, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at FC Bayern Munich II, you may be blocked from editing. Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:16, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

it’s all sourced from transfermarkt, I do not edit something that is false, I only contribute real things, I have never edited something disruptively Inspectormusic (talk) 21:19, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Numbers

[edit]

Just saw that on Moses Brown and Bullock. The Mavs have both of them listed in their roster page, so you might want to check there first before removing something. Not sure about the other players you edited, but worth a look maybe. Kante4 (talk) 08:53, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Many players have repeated numbers on the roster pages on their websites on NBA, and other players are listed with numbers they wore last season, and others even using numbers that are retired on the team, so I think the numbers will be official until the season begins Inspectormusic (talk) 18:50, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Any examples? Because the Mavs ones look good and solid (as i follow them mostly). And Rondo for example just signed for the Grizzlies... Kante4 (talk) 20:23, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Milwaukee Bucks list both Elijah Bryant and Grayson Allen as numbers 3, Rodney Hood as number 32 (retired), the Atlanta Hawks list Delon Wright as number 55 (retired), the Boston Celtics list Enes Kanter #00, Kris Dunn #32 and Bruno Fernando #24 (all three numbers retired), and both Jayson Tatum and Josh Richardson as numbers 0, the Golden State Warriors list Nemanja Bjelica as #70 when the team has officially given him number 8, and both Andrew Wiggins and Otto Porter as numbers 22, while the team has officially announced Wiggins as #22 and Porter as #32, so therefore numbers are not official on any team until the season begins or the team itself announced them officially as the Golden State Warriors did with the exception of Chris Chiozza who has not been given or chosen a number yet Inspectormusic (talk) 20:37, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Another example is that the Dallas Mavericks signed three players that do not appear on their website roster this being EJ Onu, Carlik Jones and Feron Hunt Inspectormusic (talk) 20:44, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That's why they do not have a number yet. ;) The PR twitter accounts also reveal numbers and those should be taken. Ok, so the websites are a bit slow it seems. Kante4 (talk) 20:55, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Amar Dedić. Cassiopeia talk 06:21, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am not adding unsourced material, only editing properly and in order, so I would not be blocked for doing such a good contribution. Inspectormusic (talk) 06:29, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You are wrong, falsely accusing me of doing something I clearly did not do, I only accommodated properly the information that is previously sourced and did not add anything more that was not there already, and why I did that? For properly grammar and better reading and understanding, so I expect you to see your mistake and apologize. Inspectormusic (talk) 06:36, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Inspectomusic, Good day. First of all you need to ping me so I would receive a notification of your message. This is your edit which is unsourced. If the info is already in one of the existing sources in the page, then you need to let other editors know by providing a brief message on the "edit summary" prior saving you edit, so we may check (pls provide the ref # pls). If the info added/changed is not source, then you need to provide the source (inline citation) to support your added/changed content claim. Pls note the editor who changed/added the info need to provide independent, reliable sources - see WP:PROVEIT. Cassiopeia talk 06:41, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The source is already there, Amar Dedić was born in Zell am See, Austria and plays for the Bosnia national under21 team, therefore he is an Austrian-born Bosnian footballer. Inspectormusic (talk) 07:07, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Good day/Evening. As a person who welcomed you I should be the one to bare responsibility for your actions, however, you should have come to my talkpage and ask for assistance instead of being independent. Please feel free to message me, I will greatly help you. :)--MollyPollyRolly (talk) 04:59, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Robin Koch, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Defender. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:57, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

AC Milan

[edit]

Hi, Inspectormusic. With regards to your recent edits adding "other players under contract" to the AC Milan page, please note that they have been reverted. The consensus is to stick with the first team squad reported on official sources, as it's the only way to comply with Wikipedia's verifiability policy. It should also be noted that Transfermarkt is not considered a reliable source, as its content is mostly user-generated and it happened to be proven wrong several times in the past. Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Rémy Vita article, but I have found one and added it for you. Please try and remember to include sources yourself with future edits. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 18:18, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

got it and thanks Inspectormusic (talk) 19:46, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stats in football players' infoboxes

[edit]

Hello, I'm Jaellee. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Ron-Thorben Hoffmann were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, --Jaellee (talk) 21:34, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Player articles opening sentence

[edit]

Please stop changing the opening sentence of player articles, and follow Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players, thanks. Nehme1499 02:00, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I just make the grammar común order and correctly, so I am improving the pages and data, nothing more and nothing wrong Inspectormusic (talk) 05:20, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please keep this in your mind Dr Salvus 05:32, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

no I did not Inspectormusic (talk) 05:33, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You still change the opening sentence for players as Nehme1499 said totally violating the MoS Dr Salvus 05:35, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Frank Ntilikina. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —Bagumba (talk) 19:47, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Date formatting

[edit]

Information icon Please be sure to update the dates in articles using the appropriate date format. In articles related to American people or listed as using American English, the date format is mdy. I am not sure why you changed the date format on Chris Richards's article recently, especially given that the date you replaced was in the appropriate format, but please be more aware in the future, especially with footballers'/soccer players' articles. [edit]

Please stop adding content, like music genre, to articles without a source. You need to add a reliable source that verifies all content. See WP:REFB for help on how to do it. But continue to add content without sources, and your account will be blocked from editing. Sergecross73 msg me 02:01, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Superstar (Lupe Fiasco song). You were warned multiple times and even blocked for adding material without sources. This is a reminder. Muhandes (talk) 12:50, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I did not add any unsourced material, I just ordered the info correctly, so don't you ever dare threatening me again with false claims! Inspectormusic (talk) 17:24, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to forget that there is an edit history. Here is your edit. Now everyone can see that you added the names Rudolph Lopez and Matthew Santos, and everyone can see that there was no source. Do that again and you will be reported, presumably to be blocked for much more than 48 hours this time. --Muhandes (talk) 08:37, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from changing genres without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 02:06, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Muhandes: and @TheAmazingPeanuts: Why are you two being hard on the guy?--MollyPollyRolly (talk) 04:46, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@MollyPollyRolly: See above. Not only was this person warned multiple times not to add unsourced information, reported for it, blocked for it and repeated the same offense, they now play the fool claiming they did nothing, as if editing histories are not open to everyone. And you know what? They keep doing that. Now you tell me, what should the community do now? --Muhandes (talk) 08:44, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Muhandes: Maybe you should explain to him in your own words how to add sourced material and what considered to be sources? Bombarding editors with warnings and blocking them don't seem to help. New editors don't have time to go over every single policy that you have.--MollyPollyRolly (talk) 06:42, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@MollyPollyRolly: Multiple editors have explained it multiple times. This editor is unwilling to listen. --Muhandes (talk) 15:50, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Cashis. Stop this. Muhandes (talk) 11:03, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tay Keith, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gunna.
