Deleted draft notifications
Hello, FloridaArmy,
I must apologize for the great number of CSD G13 notices you are receiving today and provide a bit of an explanation. On July 8, 2021, editor Auric went through a lot of your drafts and fixed up some of the bare URLs into nice looking, more complete citations. He went back to drafts you created back in January 2021! But one result of that assistance is that his contributions were the last recorded edits on the draft pages and so instead of you receiving these notices over a period of days or weeks, you got them all today because of his work on them six months ago. I hope that's a small explanation for the deluge of notices today.
I know that I'm on the deleting end of a lot of your unfinished work but I just wanted to thank you for all of the articles you create for the project. I've looked at quite a few and I think I can safely say that without your efforts, information about these interesting historical figures would not be present on Wikipedia. You probably do start more drafts than you have time to finish but I hope you know that should you wish to return to complete them, you can come to WP:REFUND or the deleting administrator and we will restore them for you to work on. Thank you again for all of your contributions to the project and to our readers. Liz Read! Talk! 19:12, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message User:Liz and your kind words. If I get a notice that an entry is going to be deleted I can work on it. Just having them deleted forces me to go through the undeletion process and makes work for others. Is there anyway to get a lidt of these in future before they're deleted? I know I sometimes get bot notices but I don't know why other times I don't. Thanks again. I hope you're having a terrific year. FloridaArmy (talk) 19:27, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

DYK for Man's Genesis
On 17 January 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Man's Genesis, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the 1912 production of Man's Genesis was the first "primitive man" film ever made and created a prehistory film boom in the years following its release? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Man's Genesis. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Man's Genesis), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
