Hi. I noticed that the page for the pro e-sports player Tekken Master was deleted because it does not meet Wiki standards. While I don't know all of them, I would like to humbly request the page to be un-deleted and I promise to edit it so that it meets the Wiki standards, it would also be of great help if you could pin point to me what broke the Wiki rules so I can edit it more thoroughly and address the issue from its roots.

I remember editing the page a while ago and adding more pictures of the player, I suspect it might be that. If it is, I apologize and would like the opportunity to amend my mistakes by editing the page to make it meet Wiki's standards if you can kindly un-delete it and allow me to fix it.

Thanks in advance. Yuniac (talk) 08:32, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Yuniac: Done – as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored upon request. plicit 12:25, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you!
I have updated the page now: I removed 2 pictures, as the page had a lot, understandably. I have also added a few more things about the career of the player, factual things that has happened.
Could you please check the page again and tell me if is it okay now to remove the maintenance tag? and if not, may I know what is needed to change in order to remove the tag?
Thank you so much for your time. Yuniac (talk) 18:00, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request for undeletion

[edit]

Recently, you deleted the following pages:

They are pages used by the testcases at Template:MLB standings/testcases. Can you please restore the pages? Thanks for your consideration in this matter. isaacl (talk) 15:14, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Isaacl: The first three testcases are copies of Template:MLB standings/testcases/2011 NL Central standings, Template:MLB standings/testcases/2013 AL Wild Card standings, and Template:MLB standings/testcases/2022 AL Wild Card standings. Is there a reason the duplicates are needed? The rest are available without the /sandbox subpage, so Template:MLB standings/testcases/2023 AL East standings and so on. plicit 03:26, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The MLB standings template is used to create season-specific standings templates. Thus I have created sample standings templates that use the in-production template and the sandbox template, so testcases can test the sample standings templates with various parameters supported by them, and the results can be compared between the in-production template and the sandbox template. The samples using the sandbox template are beneath the sandbox page. isaacl (talk) 07:01, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Isaacl: Very well, I have restored the remaining three subpages. plicit 04:35, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks; I appreciate your time and effort. isaacl (talk) 04:43, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Explicit,

You have recently deleted the article mentioned above. There were two delete votes and one user who didn't explicitly vote, but whose comment I interpret as being in favor of keep (the same user commented on other related discussions with similar arguments in favor of keeping). The delete votes basically sum up to "we don't need this". As has been noted in the closing comments of some of the other related deletion discussions that resulted in keeps, like Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Eureka Stockade defenders, this is a weak argument. To quote Liz, who closed that discussion: I'm closing this as a default Keep as those arguing for Deletion are basically saying the article should be deleted because it is an unnecessary article which is not a strong deletion argument. Those advocating Keep argued based on policy (WP:NLIST) and claim sourcing is sufficient which I found more persuasive. I'll just add that I've closed quite a few AFDs on Eureka, mostly as Delete, but this discussion had more supporters than the others did.

Liz mentions the number of votes as one reason for the result. I already mentioned that I think this was 2 vs. 1, which isn't exactly clear cut. I also want to say that I would have voted on this AfD (and others), but I didn't see them in time. I also agree with Liz that some of those other articles were deleted correctly; but this isn't one of them.

I don't know what the article said, but the topic is definitely notable. There have been a number of publications about this topic, including Lyng's "Non-Britishers in Australia. Influence on Population and Progress" (1935), Turner's "Our own little rebellion: the story of the Eureka stockade" (1913), Pyke's "Some Leading Aspects of Foreign Immigration in the Goldfields" (1946), and Bodi's "Literature, politics, cultural identity" (2002), just to mention a few.

Would you agree to undelete the article, so that it can be relisted for further discussion? Renerpho (talk) 23:36, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Renerpho: Hi, first, the deletion discussions and topics are completely different. One was about a list article which which received several "keep" !votes when examined against WP:NLIST, while the other was purely prose that that participants agreed was a WP:CFORK. Characterizing the discussion as amounting to nothing more than "I don't like it" is disingenuous. Regardless of the non-vote by Robbiegibbons, they did not provide any substance that could be interpreted as making an argument supported by policy or guideline. In fact, they provided mere "other stuff exists" arguments. Cherry picking a single AFD that resulted in keep, when eight other of the fourteen currently listed at User:Gonzo fan2007/Eureka resulted in delete, doesn't sway me very much.
No one at the deletion discussion argued that the topic wasn't notable, they argued that a spin-off article was not justified. This issue still has not been addressed. plicit 04:35, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Explicit, I hope you're well, I was wondering if you could undelete File:Deirdre Barlow Coronation Street.jpg and instead delete File:Deirdre Barlow (Corrie).jpg if possible please?, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 01:16, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This template was erroneously subst'd and then deleted after becoming orphaned. Please restore so it. can be inserted into its parent article. Thank you. Useddenim (talk) 23:04, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Useddenim: From what I can tell, this template was never used on LaSalle Street Station, so there was nothing to substitute. Was it used elsewhere? plicit 23:57, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Explicit: I'm not sure because I didn't notice the TfD until after it had closed. Does it resemble the current diagram at LaSalle Street Station (in the Inbox under "Track layout")? Useddenim (talk) 01:06, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Useddenim: The design of the deleted template is about half the resolution and does not contain any numbers, but the layout is otherwise the same. plicit 03:48, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Explicit: So then it's probably an old version of what was finally inserted into the infobox. Given that the general policy is for route diagrams to be separate templates, should the old template be restored and updated to the current diagram (preserving the history), or should it be extracted and created anew? Useddenim (talk) 04:31, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Useddenim: The current layout was added here by Hotdog with ketchup. About 37 hours after that edit, Template:LaSalle Street Station was created by AlphaBeta135. Since the template was created later and appears to be independent from the one in the article, I'm not seeing an attribution issue. It seems that it was created and abandoned once the creator realized they were a little too late and the layout had already been inserted without a separate diagram template. plicit 04:47, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Explicit: Okay then; case closed. Thanks for checking. Useddenim (talk) 04:48, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the deletion of Jeff Watson (designer)

[edit]

Hi,

I just realized that the page of Jeff Watson (designer) was removed. Jeff was a Assistant Professor and a mentor for me and many other graduate students in the department of Interactive Media and Game Design in the University of Southern California. He had a very good reputation not only among student but people in the industry and academia as well. He passed away in 2020, and the whole USC as well as his graduate school hosted a major event to memorize him. You believed that his page does not meet the requirement of notability guidelines, yet as a former student of him and a PhD in the field of game design and game studies, I have to point out with respect that this is not the case, many people still memorizing and talking about him even after 4 year of his death. I really wish you can withdraw the deletion of his page. ESAKA114514 (talk) 08:28, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I just noticed you undeleted the page of Jeff Watson (designer) I mentioned yesterday. Many thanks for it. However, I just noticed that it was removed again due to " Cross-namespace redirect from mainspace". I am wondering what happened to this page and how to properly recover it again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8800:7c85:b500:d916:b9fd:2ad8:815a (talk) 05:46, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@ESAKA114514: Hi, you created a copy of the deleted article at Draft:Jeff Watson (designer). Because copying within Wikipedia legally requires attribution, I restored the page history and merged it into the draft. You can view those revisions by clicking the History tab. plicit 11:21, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for pointing it out! Is the current draft eligible to submit for review for there are still revision needed before doing so? ESAKA114514 (talk) 16:36, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hiller Air Tug deletion

[edit]

I believe this was deleted in error.

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hiller Air Tug

It was a novel concept that influenced other designs and was referenced in two journal articles.

The citations were academic articles and the original report to NASA(accessible via interlibrary loan).

If more media is required I could provide diagrams etc. JPelham (talk) 14:42, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reasoning behind the edit you reverted

[edit]

I noticed that you reverted my edit on Dongducheon station. The reason why I put it in the "Railway stations in South Korea opened in 1912" category is because railway station categories are named after the territories and countries they currently reside in. As in, this railway station currently resides in South Korea but was opened in 1912. I hope this makes sense, but please let me know if this is wrong. - OpalYosutebito (talk) 16:27, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks
