Why is it not suprising...
Here ([1]) and here ([2]; go down to "Sanddunes Sunrise"). Can you find the familiar faces? I'll let you come to your own conclusions, but it just goes to show the true nature of the hands that turn the wheels in this place. I'm sure anyone else spreading so much hatred towards a country (which subtly continues, [3]) would have already gotten at least a warning. In any case, I'm sure the 50 authors of the "Platine War" will be happy that Wikipedia made an article for their troubles (while the thousand-and-more authors of the "Guerra Grande" will have to realize they picked the wrong name; maybe they'll decide to form a WikiProject). Regards.--MarshalN20 | Talk 05:51, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry but I don't remember Alarbus, I'm not sure if I talked to him. I guess I have seen the name sometime, but that's it. What's up with him? Cambalachero (talk) 12:17, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- Alarbus is the lad who made plenty of noise in Talk:War of the Triple Alliance (during the move request), particularly trying to discredit me and fuel the anger of our Brazilian colleague. It turned out that he was one of several puppets of someone named "Jack Merridew". In the links I showed you, names such as "Ched" and "Mark" pop up; the same people who popped up in your most-recent AN/I thread. From there it becomes a simple game of connect the dots.
- I can find no other reason as to why they would allow a user to get away with so many insults. Given the benefit of the doubt, they probably didn't know each other directly. However, their connection to Alarbus (who, awkwardly enough, now seems to have a cult following) indicates to me that something fishy goes on there. That being said, I won't accuse them of anything at least until I have more evidence. Regards.--MarshalN20 | Talk 14:36, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, best not to worry about us. I have been fairly active copyediting articles at FAC this year and ran into Lecen there, so that's why I was interested in the ANI thread. I really have no interest in South American history, so you probably won't run into me very much. I got to know Alarbus through FAC, as well, since he did a lot of work with templates on FAC nominees. So that's the connection, not really anything to worry about. In fact, feel free to ping me if you need a review or a copyedit or anything. Mark Arsten (talk) 15:50, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- I don't like to extend my opinion of any certain user to others, nor to think the worst of other users merely because we do not agree on something. My personal opinion of Lecen is about him, and him alone, and based on his actions. Cambalachero (talk) 20:37, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- His actions wouldn't happen if people didn't enable him to do them. It's easy to say that each of the little things Lecen does are not worthy of administrative action (per Ched), but in a week or two each of those little actions amounted to a sizeable list of anti-Argentine expressions and personal attacks. So, if the actions taken by the enablers hinder the process of improving a user's conduct, then the enablers become part of the problem. Regards.--MarshalN20 | Talk 21:57, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- Though it's worthy to note that Mark, unlike Ched, at least actually tried to help.--MarshalN20 | Talk 22:01, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your words, hope you have a good weekend. Mark Arsten (talk) 22:19, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

If you want a different version - do it on the Argentine version of Wikipedia
You have made numerous incorrect changes to the Arana-Southern Treaty, a Wikipedia page which I created. You have not provided any proof that the treaty has been derogated - it has not. The Wikisource version was installed by the British Government from their own records.
If you have a difference of opinion, then put it on the Argentine version of Wikipedia. If you persist in making alterations to the document which cannot be verified by external sources, then we will ask Wikipedia to lock the document and prevent you from making any further alterations because of Wiki-vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nigelpwsmith (talk • contribs) 17:46, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- This is a joke, right? The "Derogation" section is the only one with active online references. Cambalachero (talk) 17:51, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
This is no joke - the external reference provides no proof that the Treaty was derogated. It merely shows that diplomats had talks - nothing else. Even your link to the Argentine Constitution shows no mention of the Rivers or the amendment to include what was discussed by the diplomats.
Unless you can provide proof of the derogation from British sources - you need to remove the section on Derogation because it is not proven.
You have added some useful text to the article, there's no need to spoil that by then making claims which are unsubstantiated and only refer to the Argentine point of view. You claim that the article should be unbiased and mock the connection to Pepper and Pascoe documents. However, they have provided proof that backs up their claims and those claims show that the Argentine Government did agree a Treaty which signed away the Falkland islands by not mentioning the dispute. Even Argentine historians and politicians accept that Covention of Settlement weakens the Argentine claim. Nigelpwsmith (talk) 20:34, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Can I suggest that you create a separate Wikipedia entry for the Hotham Mission Saint Georges (August 1852) and remove the section on the Derogation altogether. Nigelpwsmith (talk) 20:36, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
No Proof Of Your Claims
You have stated on the Arana-Southern Treaty that it was derogated. There is no proof from the British Government that this treaty was derogated. In fact the treaty still stands and was added to Wiki-source by the British Government. If you persist in altering the text of the document to reflect an untrue position then we will ask Wikipedia to lock the document. If you want to suggest that it was derogated - make those changes on the Argentine version of Wikipedia only. Do Not alter the English version when you cannot substantiate your claims. Argentina:Economy
The article said "The government has manipulated inflation statistics..." as an assertion, echoing certain press media. I changed it, prepending "Some sources state that...", since NPOV policies require the relativization of controversial facts, attributing the source. The opinion of The Economist, as respectable or as biased as it could be, is just that: an opinion. This opinion may be shared (in fact, it is) by other media, curiously those aligned with the opposition to the current government, but until now no hard data based on a well explained (and methodologically sound) consumer prices calculation method have been shown. I'm not going to affirm or deny the reliability of the INDEC's data, but the principles regarding the burden of proof should remain. You reverted my edition with the unsourced comment "it is a widely recognized fact". Widely? How widely? By whom? Recognized means "undisputed"? Which interests represent those sources that dispute the official figures? Your opinion about INDEC's data being unreliable is respectable in all accounts, but as said from The Economist's view above, is just an opinion. Therefore, I've reverted your change. You are cordially invited to bring the issue to the article's talk page. Cinabrium (talk) 01:41, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
- There was already a discussion in the talk page about the INDEC, where 2 users (and now with me we are 3) agreed that is it not reliable. Feel free to join it. I reverted to the current consensus for the time being Cambalachero (talk) 22:22, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

The goal was to gather a very wide range of diverse international opinions, because of the tremendous controversy associated with the previous requested-move (wheel-warring, arbitration, etc). It's for that reason that I took the highly unusual step of posting to completely unrelated regional WikiProjects, to try to get a large number of participants in the discussion and a definitive resolution. — P.T. Hi, I have reverted your move. I notice you cited WP:BLP1E when you made the move. I don't think this applies here because 1) this is a missing person, not BLP and 2) she is probably not notable for only one event, as there is a foundation named for her, also some resulting legislation and human rights activism. And of course there may be more information discovered about her later that would best be added to this article. You might also be interested in looking over Category:Missing people to see how similar article titles have been handled in the past. There are many other reasons per WP:TITLE for preferring this title, although of course there are other titling possibilities as well, but if you still wish to pursue a title change, please list per WP:RM and wait for an admin. Other than that, I am quite pleased that someone from the Argentina project has taken an interest in this article, and I appreciate the added tags and so forth. Regards. I noticed you reverted (without comment) my deletion of the tag-spam at Bernardo O'Higgins. In general, I believe that tags that sit around for over a year on the page, especially where there is no description of the specific problem, are harmful to the project. They are simply ugly and do not inform editors of what the real problem is. There are lots of references on the page. Is there a specific item you think needs to be referenced? Is there a specific problem that you think needs to be addressed? If so, please fix the problem and remove the tags. If there are no specific problems, then please just remove the tags. Being an unexperience user I have decided to put my comment here. Hope that I have done right by doing so. I have being reading some of the modifications you made to the article and would like to thank you for your job. I was thinking that maybe you should have kept some of what was mentioned about under the Guayaquil Conference in the section title Meeting in Guayaquil where it talks about the great mystery of what happened to San Martin. re: Sebastián Aset
Hello. I wanted to let you know I removed the PROD from this article. I've expanded it slightly and verified that Aset played in the Chilean and Uruguayan Primera (at least one season in each). He isn't the most notable footballer, but I think he's sufficiently notable for an article. I didn't find much coverage of him in online sources (I have to rely on Google Translate which limits what I can find), but anyone with two seasons in those leagues would very likely get significant coverage in those nations print media. However, if you disagree, please feel free to send it to AfD. Best regards. Jogurney (talk) 13:03, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Clandestine Childhood, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ERP (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). DYK for Clandestine Childhood
Hi, Cambalachero! I just reviewed your DYK nomination, and although I enjoyed reading the page you expanded -- and it did make me want to see the movie (!) -- there were a number of small mistakes in the article that must be corrected, and some larger questions, as well. Please look at the DYK template. I hope we can get the article fixed quickly, so that the DYK nomination can be approved! Best wishes, NearTheZoo (talk) 12:17, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, Cambalachero. Please take a look at the alternative DYK hook I have proposed. Once you (or anyone else) approves that change (if you agree that it sounds good to you), we can go ahead and get the DYK nomination approved. Thanks! NearTheZoo (talk) 23:01, 2 October 2012 (UTC)

- Replied to your comment- what a mess! Add some thoughts if you have a chance, thanks! -- Wikipedical (talk) 05:03, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
I was checking over Prep 3 prior to moving it into a queue and I think I have found a problem with the hook for this article. My reading of this source (footnote 2 in the article) is that she is returning to television acting after 46 years away, but that she appeared on the stage as recently as 1990. Is this correct? If so, the hook and the article need to be changed. Or was her stage appearance also non-acting, like the "Dinner with" tv series? Yngvadottir (talk) 16:03, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- Good, it's all fixed now; I changed the hook in the prep and also added information and a repeat of that ref in the relevant section of the article. But you do know you're not supposed to change nomination templates after they're closed, right? '-) It would have been better to go to the prep and do it there. Anyway, all fixed now with a dose of WP:IAR :-) Now make an article on that stage play! Yngvadottir (talk) 18:56, 2 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for your review of Dnestr radar. Can I ask you what you meant by "Some footnotes have raw numbers which do not lead anythere". DO you mean the page numbers - as that's how you do them using list defined references. Secretlondon (talk) 20:42, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
Gardel
It's very odd; the article for me shows "With the phrase Eternal in the soul and time" as the first phrase/paragraph under the "Legacy" heading, and not in the photo caption. Can you surmise what is wrong with my rendering? That's why I had removed it and had not recognized to where it pertained. thanks MartinezMD (talk)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages.
