Peer review
I would appreciate it if you could please comment on the article I wrote about Napoleon and Tabitha D'umo. It is currently listed for peer review here. I decided to invite you because you put a welcome message on my talk page back in April when I first started editing wikipedia. This article is short, only two pages of prose. If you accept my invitation it shouldn't take up too much of your time. // Gbern3 (talk) 19:24, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Please update your status with WP:VG
Dear WikiProject Video games member,
You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.
The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.
All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:
- Editing video game-related pages in the Article namespace
- Participating in video game-related discussions in the Project namespace (WT:VG, WP:AfD, WP:GAN, etc.)
Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.
Again, with this template!

Okay, I'm trying to figure out all of this deletion stuff, so I'm looking through the new pages and I find Desk sockets. Now, this should be deleted, right? Do I {{prod}} it? Sorry if I'm misusing this template, I've just been using it anytime I need help with anything. :3 Lychosis T/C 09:48, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, it should be deleted. However, its best if you attach this WP:AfD to a specific policy for deletion reason. Here, the most obvious reason that comes to my mind is that its self promotional to the usedlink. The "user" who creadthe page made this singlecontribution and then an "IP" adds alink to their website. Would probably pass a speedy deletion proccess as well.

No problem. :) You're going to have to get each of your old account names renamed on the wikis you're active in, then remerge your SUL. bibliomaniac15 04:00, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Well, to begin to make the article "not suck" we should give the recurring jokes section a total remodel. There's some pointless redundant things like, "recently on the show (not anymore though)" and similar things. The image has always bothered me that the word "Fox" has been cut out :P I'm not sure how, but the segments section could be changed to a different format. And many more references $©@®©Ξ 10:03, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- The segments section is kind of, (what's the word) almost in-universe like, the primary segments can be mentioned in the format section. And as for the jokes section, I think its current format is inappropriate but the section should turn into something that involves less trivial detail. P.S. mini-gallery :P $©@®©Ξ 10:20, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- Also, we should possibly consider the creation of a subpage and then do a history merge so the page can go under total construction. Either User:Audiosmurf/Red Eye or User:Scarce/Red Eye $©@®©Ξ 10:30, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- I started watching it a few months back and have since, never missed an episode. The old segments can go as long as it doesn't contribute to the current ones. The Bill-a-Buster should stay, the comments on the sexuality jokes should stay (seeing that is the show's entire charm). I'll go through the segments and see which ones can be incorporated and which ones can be scrapped all together $©@®©Ξ 10:37, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- I removed the segments that aren't needed. Here are the keepers Ab News is occasional now, Ask-Abee Huckabee: only when he's a guest, Male Time: just about every epsiode, Messages for Greg: about every other episode, Master Baden: only when he's a guest, Pinch & Me: very, very rare, yet worth noting, Today's sponsor: daily $©@®©Ξ 10:42, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Re:Rollback
I suppose I do use a more liberal definition of vandalism than most. I consider it vandalism because the user added " (a.k.a. Max Power)" to the portion of the infobox that is most prominantly displayed, and thus it was disruptive. -- Scorpion0422 01:56, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- These days, I consider myself to be a strictly content editor, and my job is to stop users from adding crap to articles. I don't even bother to warn users anymore, because I find that 99% of the time you are ignored. As such, any explanation I added would also be ignored, so I don't really bother. I consider it vandalism, so I used rollback, and if others want to take away that feature because of it, then sobeit. -- Scorpion0422 02:11, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

- Well, I would agree that finding articles to start from scratch is quite difficult. I haven't actually started all that many articles myself. Some ideas:
- Find a stub to expand. These are basically REALLY short articles someone else started, so if you can expand a stub its almost like starting a new article from scratch.
- Patrol Articles for Creation, to look for articles others have requested.
- Look through topics and articles you are interested in, and look for redlinks.
- Before creating or expanding anything, once you have decide what you want to write about, spend some time gathering sources. Libraries, websites, stuff like that. You could read WP:YFA for some general guidelines on starting out good articles. Does that help? --Jayron32 03:30, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

List of Lost Tapes episodes
The issue I had was with the complete removal of the text, which left the article in a really sorry state. Even though I disagreed with it, your edit was beneficial because it highlighted how badly the article needed work. I completely reviewed the text while rebuilding the article and found the spelling and grammar to be very poor and the actual summaries to be in real need of copyediting. I've never watched the program so I can't comment on what is and isn't OR. I can only assume good faith and trust that what you say is true. --AussieLegend (talk) 06:44, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Possible identity of cryptid: There are 3 possibilities; A wild man that never shaved in his life (like other wild animals) who was born or lived in the wilderness and among nature, A surviving Gigantopithecuses, or possibly one of the new species of primates and the same creature of the Yeti, Sasquach, Almas, Honey Island Swamp Creature (according to legend, it was half-primate, half-reptilian, because, according to the origin, circus monkeys had sex with alligators and later reproduce the swamp creature from their genetic DNA and this creature was from the Lost Tapes Season 1 of episode 4, "Swamp Creature") Grassman, Fouke Monster (from the Lost Tapes Season 2 of episode 3, "Southern Sasquach") and other primate cryptids, from all over the parts of the world throughout history (either one of them or all of the above, including a hoax).
- No, I didn't think anything like that. When I was rebuilding the article I did notice it was very poorly written, and the stuff that you removed after I had finished did look suspiciously like OR. I considered removing it myself but, as I said earlier, I don't watch the program so I wasn't sure. --AussieLegend (talk) 20:31, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

Wiki Loves Pride 2014
Hi Audiosmurf. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. - When? June 2015
- How can you help?
- 1.) Create or improve LGBT-related articles and showcase the results of your work here

Remember, Wiki Loves Pride is about creating and improving LGBT-related content at Wikimedia projects, and content should have a neutral point of view. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome!
If you have any questions, please leave a message on the campaign's main talk page.
Thanks, and happy editing!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The Wikimedia LGBTQ+ User Group is holding online working days in May. As a member of WikiProject LGBT studies, editing on LGBTQ+ issues or if you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, come help us set goals, develop our organisation and structures, consider how to respond to issues faced by Queer editors, and plan for the next 12 months.
We will be meeting online for 3 half-days, 14–16 May at 1400–1730 UTC. While our working language is English, we are looking to accommodate users who would prefer to participate in other languages, including translation facilities.
More information, and registration details, at QW2021.--Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group 02:50, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
