Announcements
[edit]- The Newsletter would like to salute the French and Swedish Video Game Wikiprojects (Projet:Jeu vidéo and Projekt datorspel) for their 10th anniversary on September 2 and September 28 respectively! They join the English and Japanese Video Game Wikiprojects which celebrated their 10th anniversaries in the first quarter of 2014 (on February 5 and March 11). In total 4 different interlanguage WP:VGs have now reached this milestone.
- Achievements Unlocked! - WikiProject Video Games reached 750 Good and A-Class articles and 250 Featured articles and lists this quarter! These project-wide goals were both set on 4 February 2011 and represent our latest milestones since Q1-2015. Two new goals have been selected: 5% of articles and lists GA-Class or better and 10% of articles B-Class or better.
- Over the last quarter, some members of the project received awards for their video game-related work. Users CR4ZE and Tezero were awarded the Four Award for the articles Development of Grand Theft Auto V and Sonic: After the Sequel respectfully. Meanwhile, GamerPro64 was given the Video Game Triple Crown for the getting a DYK on Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes, a Good Article for The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and a Featured Article for Anachronox. And Czar became the third of eight finalist in the 2014 WikiCup primarily for work on independent video games. Congrats to all the editors.
