New Year
[edit]Heyo. I know this isn't Facebook and all that, but I was just wondering. Are you doing okay? We haven't really talked in quite a while, and I saw that you temporarily deleted your stuff and all that. PanagiotisZois (talk) 17:27, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- @PanagiotisZois: Thank you for the message. I am doing better now. I just had a somewhat stressful end of the year, but everything has gotten better. I am dialing back my time on Wikipedia, and only really coming on here to do my own personal projects. I think my time doing GAN/FAC reviews are over, and it is probably to leave those up to the more qualified/experience editors anyway. I recently came back from a weekend trip to Washington, D.C. so that was quite nice. How is everything going with you? Aoba47 (talk) 21:42, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- Glad to hear you're doing better. As for me, the closer I am to graduating, the more I hate my life. Lol. Some things are going pretty well. I passed most of my courses from last semester, and I feel like I'm doing well on my honors thesis. Have to do a presentation on it in early February, and the instructors will probably tell me on how to improve it, but hopefully all will be good. On the bad side, I failed a course for the first time, so I'll have to retake the final near the end of February. Besides that, I have taken 2 courses. Definitely seems easier than my Fall semester. Honestly, I'm just waiting for easter to get here so that I can relax a bit, and then summer vacation, so that I can finally put my brain into rest mode. I feel like I've been studying for like, a year; without break. To end on a happy note, I think a good way for me to contribute to Wikipedia is to translate some articles that interest me from languages where they're featured articles; such as the Minoan religion and incubi. I'm also feeling more strongly about going forward and writing novels in tandem with having a career in teaching English. :D Also, Washington the state up north or the city / capital in the east? I remember there's two. PanagiotisZois (talk) 23:48, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- I completely understand that feeling. I felt it when I was completing my undergraduate and M.A. programs. Just as a piece of unsolicited advice, I would definitely recommend that your school's advisors and any other programs and/or services offered by the school that may help you transition after graduation. Even as an alumni member of both of my past universities, I noticed that I personally lost a lot of my connections and resources after I left the program. Just something to keep in mind. I probably could teach English as I have the resumé for it, but it was just never the right fit for me. I wouldn't mind teaching on the university or community college level though. Teaching is such an important thing so good luck with it!
- Thank you! I actually do have an idea about the school I want to go to for my postgraduate studies and get my masters degree. During the summer vacation, when I'm in Germany, I'll book an appointment and have an interview with them, and hopefully, I'll get accepted. I still have one year left, but I'm guessing it'll be something like "we will keep this spot open for you", or whatever. If I don't get there, I'll just find somewhere else to go. Then my PhD, and boom! I'll finally be ready to teach at college students. Just need to figure out which areas to specialize in. Though I'm mostly leaning towards English over American literature.
- That sounds awesome! Congrats on that! I have taught college students before so you ever need any advice, feel free to ask me any questions. If I could teach anything, it would probably be film theory and video game studies as I am the most comfortable talking about those things. I have sometimes thought about going back to get a Ph.D. in English and finish that up, but I think that ship has sailed and it is best for me to move on to something else. Aoba47 (talk) 20:14, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- As always, I look forward to reading your work on here, and good luck with writing novels. I am slowly but steadily building up my confidence in my creative writing. I should just follow one of my original dreams and write complete yaoi/BL fantasy, like Dramatical Murder lol. I remember watching Orenchi no Furo Jijo, and loving it and getting so much inspiration there lol. I actually have thought about writing something featuring incubi as I always thought they were super weird and interesting lol.
- (Sees the words "creative writing", "yaoi", and "incubi" in the same sentence) "I am LOOKING." O_O lol That does sound pretty interesting. It's good that you too are also more confidant in writing stuff. The one advise I can give you is this; don't try to be like someone. Even if there's a writer whose writing you love, or who's like "this is how I write", screw that. Just write how you want. Also, remember that when it comes to first drafts, they don't have to be perfect; they just have to be done. So don't fret about like, your first chapter not being good enough. You can come back to it later. Sidenote, I've never heard of that yaoi anime; should probably check it out
- Thank you for the advice! I need to be about the whole revision process as that is where a majority of the real writing happens anyway. And I agree with you completely about just writing what you want. I remember when I was younger, I would think way too much about finding my "voice" and "style" rather than just doing it lol. I enjoy Orenchi no Furo Jijo, but it is definitely not as hardcore as Dramatical Murder lol. Aoba47 (talk) 20:14, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- I went to the capital. I lived there for about three years while I was in school and doing an internship. I would honestly love to return there for a job, but I am looking through a lot of different job postings at the moment. The Minoan religion stuff sounds really cool! I think that I will spend most of my Wikipedia time revisiting my old GAs and heavily revising them for FACs. If I do any new projects, I think it will be stuff on fictional characters since that was the time of articles I loved the most on Wikipedia originally. Definitely not as interesting as your stuff though lol. Anyway, sorry for the super long response. I have a strong tendency to ramble >< lol. Aoba47 (talk) 03:05, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- I still remember seeing your work for the first time; on the Russell family. I was just blown away by all of the work you put into it, and how good the articles were. I've always loved knowing how characters are made, so seeing lots of info in the "Development" section always gets me excited. XD And don't worry about the long response. If anything, it shows just how passionate you are about all this. PanagiotisZois (talk) 17:17, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
- Aw, thank you! I am probably the most proud of my work on the Russell family articles. I am still somewhat surprised that I did all of that work on those articles and pulled it off. One of these days, I would like to revisit Passions, and work some more on the related character articles. I am debating between Sheridan Crane or Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald or just writing a completely new article for Precious (Passions). And I agree that it is always exciting to read how writers create a character and what the actor brings to it. Aoba47 (talk) 20:14, 25 January 2020 (UTC)

TFA
[edit]Thank you today for Abby (TV series), "about an American television sitcom created by Nat Bernstein and Michael Katlin, which originally aired for one season on United Paramount Network (UPN) from January 6, 2003, to March 4, 2003. The show revolves around television producer Abigail "Abby" Walker (Sydney Tamiia Poitier) and her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Will Jeffries (Kadeem Hardison). After they break-up in the pilot episode, they agree to live together as friends in their rent controlled San Francisco apartment. The supporting cast includes Randy J. Goodwin, Tangie Ambrose, and Sean O'Bryan. Critics classified Abby as a sex comedy and a romantic comedy. Commentators often criticized its reliance on sexual humor, though Poitier's acting was praised by critics."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:11, 10 February 2020 (UTC)

R&B Music Project
[edit]Hi Adoba47ǃ I would like to let you know that I am very fond of your contributions to Wikipedia and I am really trying to find ways to expand and improve articles under the R&B music category and I am really impressed by your contributions with articles under that category and I am looking for other users who can help improve articles related to R&B music and add more information to them. I am currently focusing on one R&B-related subject and that is K. Michelle and I really need help with adding more content to articles related to her and since you have been a big help with doing that I was thinking of asking you to help me out and what I am really trying to do is expand and add more information and sources to articles related to R&B singers. After I finish working on K. Michelle I will later begin working on Keyshia Cole. Please help me as I need all of the help I can get at doing this. Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 12:50, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the message, and good luck with your current and future projects. I will continue to work on articles about R&B-related subjects in the future, but I am currently reducing my Wikipedia time to occasional GAN and FAC projects as I am currently busy with off-Wiki activities. Thank you for the work on the "How Do You Know?" article. It is a shame that K. Michelle and Keyshia Cole are underrated as both are quite talented. I should work on a Keyshia Cole article in the future as A Different Me still remains one of my favorite albums. I hope you have a great rest of your week. Aoba47 (talk) 23:39, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
Hey Aoba47! I just came to recommend two articles that I really think you should edit and I feel that you would be delighted to. The articles are When I See U and Let It Go (Keyshia Cole song) and I really think you should try to expand the articles and add more sources to them. The subject of the articles are both Contemporary R&B songs that have both gained popularity in both pop and R&B culture and they really need attendance as the articles are both basically stubs and they do not have enough sources even though they are really notable. I know that you would be really great at improving and expading a Fantasia Barrino-related article since you have before and most Keyshia Cole-related articles have yet to be improved and expanded. I hope to become very good at improving/expanding articles soon and I will eventually begin more work on articles with low importance. Have a wonderful day! Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 19:58, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for your message. I actually thought about working on "When I See U" as a project and I had actually started to collect sources for it around two to three years ago. Maybe in the future I will go back to it. It is interesting how that song has turned out to be one of Fantasia's biggest hits. When it first came out, a bunch of girls randomly played it on a computer in an Apple store lol. I do enjoy "Let It Go", but if I was going to work on a Keyshia Cole song, it would probably be the "Shoulda Let You Go" article instead. For some reason, that song has just stayed in my memory. I am sure you will become great at improving and expanding articles. It is really all about practice. I would not consider myself particularly great, but I just enjoy working on here. Aoba47 (talk) 21:54, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed, and you should totally work on Shoulda Let You Go because the song was amazing and the article deserves major improvements. Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 22:17, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- It is always nice to talk to someone else with a similar taste in music. Surprisingly enough, when I did a basic search for sources on "Shoulda Let You Go", I found very little coverage. Although it was the album's second single, it was weirdly enough not singled out during album reviews. I would still like to work on the article in the future so I would do a much deeper dive in terms of a source search. I still wish that Amina Harris had released an album. I am interested in what her album would have sounded like, but that ship has sailed a while ago. Aoba47 (talk) 03:32, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- Of course there is little coverage the song was released in 2007 which was before there were any online websites or magazines out that could put out good information for music but if it was a song that had little info I would try to add more important stuff like it's composition and promotion other than reception and chart performance. Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 06:59, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
- Songs still received coverage prior to online sources. This type of information was instead covered through newspapers and other physical publications. Aoba47 (talk) 14:25, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah and it was just like that when I was creating the article for I Am Your Woman by Syleena Johnson, I could only find information from Google Books and old websites. Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 17:08, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
Good luck with the article. You have done great work so far with it. For the time being, I am focusing on song articles after having one successfully pass through the FAC process. Aoba47 (talk) 17:56, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Tease Pillar: Apologies for the random ping. Just wanted to let you know that I will be working on the "P*$$Y Fairy (OTW)" article in the future. I have to work on something with a song title like that lol. Anyway, just wanted to make sure that's okay with you first since you started the page? Aoba47 (talk) 19:16, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- That's a wonderful idea! I really feel like the article deserves more attention since it is a really popular song and it is really easy to find coverage for it. I was gonna continue working on it but I am currently improving the article for Keyshia Cole's The Way It Is album since no editor has not even made an attempt to improve it for a while now. I actually want to work on Jhené Aiko's entire Chilombo era since it is one of her most successful albums to date lol. I also think that almost every song on it deserves an article since most of them charted on the Hot 100 and Bubbling Under which is truly amazing considering the fact that not many R&B artists can achieve that. Good luck on working on that article and I hope you add a whole lot of sources and information to it! Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 02:13, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- Good luck with your current work on The Way It Is. I would caution you against making an article for each song. If you read WP:NSONG, it actually says that chart performance is a factor that may indicate notability, while significant coverage from third-party, reliable sources is the best way to determine whether or not a song should have an article. Just because a song charts, it does not mean it is notable. I have written a FA on a song that never charted in fact so I would be careful there. Just a piece of advice. Aoba47 (talk) 03:46, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yes I most definitely understand. I think that other than chart positions a musical song or album article should require significant coverage and at at least one review from a popular magazine. I also used that theory while creating the Dopamine article as the album did not make any impact on the charts even though it still got reviews and coverage from popular sites such as HotNewHipHop, Billboard, Singersroom, etc. I plan on doing the same when I start working on articles related to Justine Skye as not most of her music has charted but still had a large amount of coverage which I will stay using an advantage. Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 03:59, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
- Awesome work with the Dopamine article, and I am looking forward to your work on the Justine Skye articles. It is nice to see more under-represented singers get attention on here. Aoba47 (talk) 07:16, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
Hi Aoba47ǃ I noticed your recent construction for the "P*$$Y Fairy (OTW)" article. I am honestly impressed with how you put all of that information and content on it. But I was wondering if this time when you do the article instead of doing citations and footnotes can you make the references look more normal and I basically mean how most references look on most other song articles on Wikipedia. I am not demanding anything I honestly love that method that you use for references but I really think they should be made the same way most editors make other footnotes and sources look. You do not need to make them look normal I was just recommending it for you since most reference sections on song articles do not really look like that. But you do it the way you want too! Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 02:40, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the message. I would caution you from using language like "more normal" because there is not a standardized citation style used in every Wikipedia article/list. Lately, I have been trying the Harvard citation style, which can be seen in articles like Pod (The Breeders album). I am still on the fence on the citation style, and I have seen some editors really enjoy it and others who absolutely hate it. With that being said, I will not be converting the citation style to a different one for this because it would take a lot of work and time to do it correctly. While I appreciate how you softened your original message with this edit, I must admit that I still find it to be somewhat unnecessary since I have spent a lot of time and energy on it already. I have done a lot of work on Wikipedia so I am aware that I am trying out a different citation style, but the above message honestly rubs me the wrong way. Not to sound too reactionary or overly sensitive about it, but that was my immediate response when reading it through. Aoba47 (talk) 03:37, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

Nomination
[edit]In case you are interested, I nominated Takayuki Yagami to ga. It's quite small compared to other articles I edited so if you reviewed I would appreciate. Anyway, cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:38, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the message. I unfortunately do not have the time to do a proper and thorough GAN, but whenever I do get more time and if the nomination is still open, I would be more than happy to review. I would want to make sure that I have the proper time to do the article and GAN justice. Hope are having a great week so far! Aoba47 (talk) 23:40, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
@Tintor2: Apologies for the random message/ping. Would it be possible for you to do a source review for my FAC? Thank you for your patience with the GAN review. Aoba47 (talk) 18:03, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi Aoba. I opened a featured-article nomination for Aftermath (Rolling Stones album) a few weeks ago, but it's stagnated a bit recently. I found your name at some earlier nominations, and wanted to welcome you to offering a review, if you are interested. isento (talk) 23:48, 21 February 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the message. I will try my best to start a review sometime next week. Apologies for the delay as I am currently working on a GAN review that had been requested above and another FAC review as well as addressing comments for my own FAC. Given your very impressive FAC track record, I am sure the article is already in great shape. I just want to make sure that I set aside the time to thoroughly look through the article and do my due diligence as a reviewer. I am honestly very unfamiliar with the Rolling Stone so I am looking forward to learning more about them in the article. Aoba47 (talk) 00:18, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Isento: I have started my review for your FAC. You have done a wonderful job with the article. I would greatly appreciate a review for my current FAC. Either way, have an awesome rest of your weekend. Aoba47 (talk) 03:23, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

When You Get a Little Lonely scheduled for TFA
[edit]This is to let you know that the When You Get a Little Lonely article has been scheduled as today's featured article for April 4, 2020. Please check the article needs no amendments. If you're interested in editing the main page text, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/April 4, 2020, but note that a coordinator will trim the lead to around 1000 characters anyway, so you aren't obliged to do so.
For Featured Articles promoted in recent years, there will be an existing blurb linked from the FAC talk page, which is likely to be transferred to the TFA page by a coordinator at some point.
We suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from the day before this appears on Main Page. Thanks! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:32, 2 March 2020 (UTC)

- Thank you today for the article with a title which will tell many something, about "a country album by Maureen McCormick, an American actress best known for Marcia Brady in the sitcom The Brady Bunch. It was released on April 4, 1995, through the label Phantom Hill. McCormick wanted to use the album to break away from her Marcia Brady image, but it received mainly negative reviews and did not appear on any chart. In a 2008 interview, she said she was disappointed by restrictions to the album's recording process; McCormick as continued to perform country music and has participated in the reality television show Gone Country."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:59, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Emilia Clarke
[edit]Hello Aoba47, hope you are well. First off I just wanted to say thank you for your comments on the List of awards and nominations received by Emilia Clarke FLC. I currently have Emilia Clarke up for a GAN. I was wondering if you could check the article out to see if anything else needs improvement. I would appreciate any additional comments or suggestions. Thanks! -- LuK3 (Talk) 22:39, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the message. It is nice to see work being done on Clarke's articles and lists. I have not worked a lot on articles about actors so I would recommend checking with other editors too. Apologies in advance for the amount of comments. You have done a much better job with this article than I could. Here are a few suggestions:
- In the "Person life" and "Public image" sections, I would have one-sentence paragraphs. For the "Public image" part, I would vary the sentence structure to avoid having multiple sentences start with "In X year".
- I do not think the references in the lead and infobox are necessary since that information should already be included and sourced in the body of the article. Articles like Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Winslet do not have these references.
- It may be beneficial to combine the "Advertising and endorsements" and "Activism and charity work" sections into a "Off-screen work" as done in the Jennifer Lawrence article linked above. I am suggesting this because the "Advertising and endorsements" section is quite short now.
- I am uncertain about the current structure of the "Career" section. I can understand the separation of Clarke's time on Game of Thrones from the rest of her career. I am more accustomed to seeing everything presented more chronologically rather than separated this way. But then again, I can understand why you did this as I am not quite sure how the information can be interwoven. Just something to think about for the future. I also think it is odd that two titles have the years in parenthesis after the title and one with the years right before the title with a colon for separation. I would be consistent with one style.
- For the image used in the "2011–2019: Game of Thrones and rise to international prominence" subsection, I would add to the caption where the photo was taken (i.e. 2013 San Diego Comic Con International).
- There have been a few articles published recently about Clarke's dislike of the Game of Thrones ending. It may not be suitable for this article and may be more appropriate for the season article, but I just wanted to raise your attention to this.
- I would add that The Seagull has been suspended due to the ongoing pandemic.
- For the part on Last Christmas, I would add that Clarke received positive reviews for her performance despite the film's overall mixed reception.
- For this part (Clarke, in addition to her work on Game of Thrones, has also appeared in various animated television shows), do you think it would be helpful to be more specific with the "various animated television shows" bit?
- Did Clarke receive any feedback for her performance in Breakfast at Tiffany's. If so, I would add whether or not she was received well or maybe cite a review or two.
- For the references, I would avoid putting words in all caps, like in References 86 and 87, per WP:SHOUTING.
- Is her 2017 Rolling Stone cover notable enough to mention in the article? It just seems rather random right now as I am sure Clarke has several magazine covers.
- Clarke's refusal to play Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey due its required nudity is repeated twice in the article.
- There are a few things linked multiple times in the article, such as Daenerys Targaryen, so I would check for that.
These are the things that jump out at me. I hope this helps. Aoba47 (talk) 00:32, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Kind of random, but I thought you'd like this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jtTeMgWNhA. And since you enjoy focusing on music-related articles, this might be a future project, lol. PanagiotisZois (talk) 19:42, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the link. The song is awesome! I've heard of Sky Ferreira, but I've actually never sat down and listened to her music before this so it is nice to change that. I will definitely check out more of her discography in the future. That article would be a fun project for sure. I hope you are doing well! Aoba47 (talk) 01:40, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for reviewing Heaven Upside Down. It's funny... the night before you began your review, I was coincidentally scanning every other nomination at GAN#Albums, but there was nothing of comparable size. So I really appreciate your time and effort in reviewing this. I know it must have been difficult. Let me know if there's anything I could do in return, and I'd be glad to help. ;) Thanks again. Song from musical
[edit]Heyo dude. I was just wondering if you can point me in the right direction. There's this musical called Six that's about the six wives of Henry VIII as resurrected pop singers. Anyway, there's this one song sang by Jane Seymour, the third wife, that is just phenomenal and I would like to make an article about it. Not right now, but slowly. Thing is, I haven't really been able to find any GA or FA about songs from musicals. Besides that, since you've worked on multiple articles about songs, do you have any suggested pages? Either from your own GAs or others? PanagiotisZois (talk) 12:09, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Good luck with the project! I'd look at the FAs and GAs on musical theatre songs as the coverage on them will most likely differ from the more pop culture ones. Those articles may also give you a better idea on structure and potential areas to look for sources. Whenever I work on an article, I usually do a Google search with different search terms. I check through the web search as well as the Google Books and the Google Scholar search. Since the title of the musical is rather generic, I'd start with "Jane Seymour" and "Heart of Stone" (as I'm assuming that is the song n question) and then play around with it from there. You could also try looking up the different people that played the role to see if they either talked about the song or if there were reviews on their performances. Apologies for the long message, and I hope it is helpful. I am honestly unfamiliar with this musical and newer musicals in general so I cannot provide exact references or more specific advice. Aoba47 (talk) 15:07, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi Aoba47! I just came to tell you that there is an article about a singer named Syleena Johnson. The information on the article does not really seem to meet the standards of person articles on Wikipedia. Some of the grammar and information in the article feels redundant and lacking in literary creativity. I was wondering if you could try to fix and help improve the article by adding better sources and information and also try to remove some of the rather opinionated content. Thank you! Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 20:31 15 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the message. There are a lot of sections that need more citations. For instance, the "Biography" section only has one citation, which leaves the rest of the information without references. I am sorry, but I am not familiar with Syleena Johnson and I do not have any real interest in working on her article. I do not have any plans for any projects in the near future though. Good luck with your work on the article and apologies again! Aoba47 (talk) 21:47, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

- Hello again! It is great to hear from you. I am doing well, thank you! I'm just staying at home and trying to catch up on things, mostly cleaning. How are you? I do not have any current projects planned for the near future, but I've been brainstorming a few possible ideas. It would be fun to try something outside of my comfort zone for a change. How about you? Are you currently working on any projects? Aoba47 (talk) 01:27, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah! A couple of projects but mostly GAs. this passed its GA last month and I am working on this and then I would move on to the next 20 articles I have in mind, two of them are lists, so let's see. I want to fisnish all of these before the end of May. BTW, I have become Insomniac. I have been working from home for the most part of the day and then little rest and whole night I write articles and watch movies/shows, along with a little sleep.Krish | Talk To Me 15:44, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
- I am sorry to hear about your insomnia. Congrats on your recent GA and good luck with your current project. What kind of movies and shows are you interested in now? I've found myself rewatching old television shows from my childhood rather than going for newer ones. I am always a sucker for nostalgia lol. Aoba47 (talk) 19:24, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- I am too a sucker for nostalgia. I mostly re-watch Disney animated shows and movies or listen to old Bollywood and American pop songs when I feel like going back to my childhood, which is not coming back. LOL. But right now I have been catching up on old Hollywood movies and TV shows (I have stopped watching everything Bollywood since last few years; doesn't interest me now). Recently I watched Jerry Maguire, Ghostbusters (the old one), Jagged Edge and stuff like these. Currently I'm watching Mrs America and that's all from TV.Krish | Talk To Me 02:20, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

@Krish!: Random question, but since I have only seen Chopra in one film (Isn't t Romanic), I am curious on what film I should watch to get a better understanding of her as an actress. Do you have any suggestions? Aoba47 (talk) 16:44, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
- I have not liked anything Priyanka Chopra has done in America. Her talents have been wasted there in last 5 years as they don't offer proper/good Indian roles in Hollywood. Anyways, you can watch Aitraaz, one of her early acclaimed roles that is widely popular with audience (think of Alex Forrest from Fatal Attraction). Her other great performances are Barfi! (I always forget that she is in this film), Mary Kom, Dil Dhadakne Do and particularly Bajirao Mastani which I feel is her most flawless performance. Plus she re-gained me as an admirer through her recent film The Sky Is Pink.Krish | Talk To Me 02:20, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the recommendations! Aoba47 (talk) 17:00, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

Would you like to review an album FAC?
[edit]Hi there!
Hope you're doing well. I have had In the Aeroplane Over the Sea up at FAC for about 11 days now, and apart from a paraphrase and image review, no one is biting. Would you be interested in reviewing it? I'll gladly return the favor for any review you may have. Famous Hobo (talk) 00:31, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
- I will definitely review it either later tonight or sometime tomorrow. I do not have anything nominated at the moment, but I will let you know when I do. Aoba47 (talk) 01:58, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
Vash the Stampede
[edit]How are you doing with the quarantine? Some months ago I cleaned up Vash the Stampede and had it copyedited in the possibility of a review. I nominated but there sure has been no activity. If possible could you give it a look. I tried trimming stuff similar to the Yagami article from Judgment but I wonder if the subsection the editor made could be merged. Anyway, take care. Especially, with this current situation.Tintor2 (talk) 02:46, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the comment. I have been staying at home for several weeks. I am doing alright. Fortunately, I do not know anyone affected by the pandemic, but it truly a terrible situation. I will pick it up for review and I will go through it sometime this weekend. I will mostly likely conduct the review section-by-section. How are you? Aoba47 (talk) 17:54, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thankfully I do office job at home so I can't complain. The only thing that sometimes bothers me is the poor wifi during weekends so I barely do something those days.Tintor2 (talk) 17:58, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
- That is not too bad. I am glad you still have a job. I've sent out a few job applications before the virus became really serious, but it is doubtful they will go through now. Thankfully, the wifi at home has been pretty good. Aoba47 (talk) 19:26, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi Aoba47! Hope all is well and you're staying safe! I've been idle for couple years and hunkering down gave me time to trim down and work on sourcing (which was the issue at the last FAC). Not much has changed on prose and content, just been doing C/Es in the last couple weeks. Your inputs have been valuable during the previous nomination. Trying my hand on bringing it back to FAC. Not sure if you're busy these days, but if you have the luxury of time, would appreciate your inputs at FAC. Cheers! Pseud 14 (talk) 15:27, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- I will try my best to get to it by the end of the week. I am not the best reviewer though, but I will still look through the article carefully. Best of luck with it this time around. Aoba47 (talk) 17:57, 11 May 2020 (UTC)

- That is awesome! Charmed certainly had some terrible moments, but I still enjoy it as a whole. I have never gone to Los Angeles, but I really enjoyed going to San Francisco. It was surreal to see all of the locations that were shown in those random shots after the opening credits. Whenever I do go to LA, I'll have to check the manor out. I'd love to live in a manor like that (but I would honestly prefer the interior that was shown on the show rather than the real one lol). Aoba47 (talk) 18:23, 11 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello!
[edit]Hey Aoba47! So by the looks of it I can tell you are not gonna leave Wikipedia after all! If that's true I'm kinda glad because I really think you should continue editing here much more longer because you have did some outstanding on here. It would be really sad if you left already because you are actually one of my favorite editors. Hope you are doing well! Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 08:18, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the message. I am still going to take a step back from Wikipedia for a while (i.e. I'm not going to do any new GAN/FAC nominations) to focus on my off-Wiki projects. I really need to work on my time management skills lol. Aoba47 (talk) 22:35, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- I have actually decided to put up "Pussy Fairy (OTW)" for a GAN. I was going to wait for a copy-edit from the WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors, but I feel bad for asking for yet another copy-edit from them given the rather long list of requests. Whenever the Chilombo deluxe edition comes out, I will make sure to add any new information to the article. I'd be curious on what this deluxe edition will look like, especially since a majority of the negative reviews on the album are about it being too long already lol. Aoba47 (talk) 00:07, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
- That's a great idea! I was wondering if you would be okay with helping create an article for an online magazine. You see, a Wikipedia editor just deleted my HotNewHipHop article out of nowhere. They did not even start a discussion for it but still chose to delete it. I am very upset because I put up a lot of information on there and it will take me very long to retrieve it. I really need help recreating the article because it has been linked to over 66 articles and that proves its purpose on Wikipedia. Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 02:05, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
- I will certainly look into it in the future. I have never worked on something like that so it would be a fun challenge. Right now, I am currently taking a break from doing anything new, and if I do decide to pick up a new project, I will probably do it at a much slower rate than I have worked in the past. Aoba47 (talk) 03:13, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
- That's great! Unfortunately, I cannot recreate it because after it got deleted it was changed so only admins could recreate it so I could not create the article even if I wanted to. I hope you add a lots of content when you work on it. I did not have the time to finish working on the article so I hope you do not make the same mistake as I made and abandon the article like I basically did. Tease Pillar (contributions) • (let's chat) 07:40, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Based on the Lars von Trier miniseries The Kingdom, the series revolves around the medical staff of a haunted teaching hospital, and includes fictional characters and events from the American Civil War. All Souls suffered from low viewership, and was placed on hiatus following the broadcast of the fist two episodes. The show was canceled after the remaining four episodes were broadcast.
