Untitled

[edit]

This article reads like a marketing brochure for the game, not an encyclopedia entry... Side note, nobody mentions the obvious rip of the Namco 'Tales of' game series? Rootstyle 06:33, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Factual Accuracy

[edit]

I am loyal to this company, IGG, but I have been away from Wikipedia lately. I added some information. It wasn't under my name though, and I hope that doesn't matter. The page can use some more screenshots, which I will try to do if I can.PЄ|>ρ3® 17:36, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I doubt a lot of the factual accuracy of this article. It is probably all made up, because I cannot find where it came from, and it sounds like a lot of made up stuff. Try getting some resources, or something?PЄ|>ρ3® 17:39, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which area exactly? If you mean the character descriptions, they are correct, though I don't know how to get resources for them, since it displays the character descriptions in- game. 68.5.28.194 15:54, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I'm sorry I said that. I just never remembered that description but it probably slipped my eye or something. So yeah sorry and thanks.<"B6B6B6">PЄ|>ρ3® 21:51, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

I have bumped this over to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tales of Pirates for a proper deletion discussion. --Stormie 13:10, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Download time

[edit]

How long does it take to download this game and is this game full screen?

Answer- The game's download time, of course, depends on your Internet connection. The game has no problem being in full screen mode.

Reply - You can also pick between full screen/window. It starts out in window but if you want a better view you can switch it at any time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.77.239.64 (talk) 00:26, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bad article

[edit]

This article doesn't tell me anything about the gamehistory or its content, there just a few features listed up. Seems like a bad publicitypage. 83.76.230.251 19:32, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ToP World

[edit]

Im going to add some info on the world feel free to correct me if im wrong on some parts —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iowind (talkcontribs) 04:10, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I updated some of the info.

[edit]

I added some more info under guilds. It seems some people are forgetting that there are more guild features going to be added into the game. It still has not been announced when this would be added in, after all PKO, as far as I know, still doesn’t have it. Also according to a MOD the “Guild Island” feature is coming in an upcoming update. On top of that the GMs announced that some time in 2008 they will be releasing another update for the game, which may have the system. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.77.239.64 (talk) 00:22, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Added a bunch of pictures, feel free to find a better map that has all three regions in one picture. I replaced the old lance image with a picture of two different character types to save space, though I may later consider making a screenshot of all four character types, each with a different class. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bling bling500 (talkcontribs) 18:31, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

pets?

[edit]

Could someone add some info on the pets? I would, but im kinda inexperienced with the pets right now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iowind (talkcontribs) 06:38, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Going to work on it right away.

Transporting of cargo

[edit]

Is there any sort of transportation of cargo for profit in this game? SharkD (talk) 04:07, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is, which reminds me that we need to add a ship/commerce section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bling bling500 (talkcontribs) 13:02, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Giant cleanup

[edit]

I removed so much material that there's not much left now, but it seems that no-one bothered to add any encyclopedic info from the start of the article and just piled on the game-guide crap so no real harm done in my edit, in my opinion. Eik Corell (talk) 08:12, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Giant cleanup

[edit]

I really don't understand why you deleted so much and left the "mazes" section in. There are more important aspects of the game than that. And there are more than 3 mazes, and not all of them run on the same 3-hour "rotation" as someone said. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mike McCray (talkcontribs) 07:45, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IDK

[edit]

Uh, just want to thank all the people who filled in with the classes and stuff, and I agree with the above, I have no idea why someone would want to delete pretty much the whole article, I had to write all over about all the classes, but eventually I was too lazy to finish... And, shouldn't there be a section for major things in the game like quests and monsters? --Jerry314 (talk) 22:42, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Does this make you the person responsible for the mediocre grammar and general writing style of the Advanced Classes section? Because I tried to read the paragraph on what a Champion was but winced too many times to finish... This seems to be an endemic problem to the entire article. Instead of adding back or recreating deleted text, maybe more emphasis should be going towards basic copy editing. This article has miles and miles to go before it even reads at a freshman level English report, and I refuse to believe that this was somehow intentional (?). Pirate king online

[edit]

Pirate king online isn't a 'region specific server', it is a group of software pirates who managed to mislead some low quality MMO sites into covering them as if they were a legitimate server a while ago. - MrOllie (talk) 17:52, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
