Video game?
[edit]Is this really a "video game" as the article title and links claim? It is described on its website as a text adventure. Also, it is compiled as version 5 of the z-machine format, and I was under the impression that z-machine didn't incorporate even limited graphics until version 6. Surely text adventures, particularly those without graphics, are not by any stretch of the imagination video games. 86.177.123.72 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:00, 20 December 2009 (UTC).

- Text adventures are video games and I am not sure why they wouldn't be. The article on Interactive fiction states "In common usage, the term refers to text adventures, a type of adventure game where the entire interface can be 'text-only'", using the following source: http://books.google.nl/books?id=Lm1jAgAAQBAJ&pg=PA528&dq=Rollings,+Andrew%3B+Ernest+Adams+(2006).+Fundamentals+of+Game+Design&hl=en&sa=X&ei=XD1vVNDxJ8naPNLGgEg&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=text%20adventure&f=false
- I'm not sure why text adventures wouldn't be video games? I know this is two years old, but I am surprised by this statement. Maplestrip (talk) 13:28, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
