Hi, I need help to edit the Reference list - en the preview mode, the references turn up under the section External links. Is that correct or how should I proceed to get it right?
Thanks in advance.

- @NIHA42: I believe {{reflist}} has to be BELOW the references. Either way, the article hasn't got inline citations, therefore is unlikely to be accepted. External links also shouldn't be in the body (per WP:MOS). -- Kethrus |talk to me 12:41, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
I would very much appreciate help in creating an article on Trefl Company - jigsaw puzzles and board games manufacturer from Poland and also a sponsor of 3 polish sport clubs.
You can base on the draft I have already written, but it was blocked due to the conflict of interest.

- We need several independent sources that discuss the topic directly and in detail. Not: passing mentions, directory listings, or any old thing that happens to have the topic's name in it. All that I see in that article are external links, and no references at all. Please take a look at WP:REFBEGIN. -- Kethrus |talk to me 12:46, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
I have tried to create a page for John Matisonn who is an author soon to be releasing a pretty important book on South African politics.
I would like to reference him as an important South African personality.
I havent really had a chance to reference news sites that reference him but have been told the page might not be approved.
Could you help?
Thanks so much,
Emily Sugar Activism (talk) 11:29, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- You'll have to wait until they're notable, it's probably WP:TOOSOON for them to have an article. -- Kethrus |talk to me 12:43, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Sugar Activism and Kethrus - we already have an article about John Matisonn, it's quite short so improving and expanding it is welcome. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 16:49, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Dodger67: I was aware of this, I checked the users contributions. I had taken a look at it, and used what was said here to come to the conclusion that it may be too soon for them to have an article. -- Kethrus |talk to me 16:59, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- I'm sorry Kethrus but your conclusion is clearly incorrect, the subject easily passes WP:GNG, he's been a prominent journalist and political commentator in South Africa for decades. The current article is based on a university press book and 4 or 5 mainstream press articles. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 17:45, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Dodger67: My apologies, I hadn't checked the article again. This was the page I saw when first commenting. (I must also note I am quite sleep deprived, I'm now going to be going to sleep - if you need me feel free to ping and I'll respond ASAP). -- Kethrus |talk to me 17:49, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Kethrus, thanks that explains it. Good night, I'll be off to bed shortly too. @Sugar Activism I've posted a few possibly useful links to your talk page. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 18:19, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

Thanks everyone - I really appreciate it. I'm brand new to Wiki so am taking up all suggestions and comments. Am going to go on the Adventure tutorial today :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sugar Activism (talk • contribs) 06:22, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
13:53:19, 1 October 2015 review of submission by Geoff Bubbles
[edit]Hi I am completely new to writing for wikipedia and was redirected to you here. As a collector of music for many years and somebody who often uses Wikipedia to look up information on many musicians/bands etc I noticed there are some omissions so felt that with my own personal knowledge I might be able to clear up a few holes. However on writing my first article on 1976 UK Punk Band Misspent Youth I seem to be coming up against problems regarding acceptance of cited support? I have used quotes from a well recognised published book by Borderline Books, also referenced 2 major websites plus other references but not sure really what else I can use, I felt I had covered points section 1 point 7 and recordings section point 5 on artist notability and relevance fairly well. I would appreciate any help you might give me as I would like to carry on writing such articles Kind Geoff Bubbles (talk) 13:53, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Geoff Bubbles (talk), The references you've used aren't strong enough -- the book is good but popsike and bored teenagers websites aren't reliable and punk77 is borderline. I thought I could point you towards some references, but I was wrong -- it's a tough search online because 'misspent youth' is such an overused phrase and because the band was covered in publications which were probably not archived online. I'll keep looking - we need an entry on Misspent Youth! - I'll check with my rock critic friends and see if anyone has info or access to archives of Melody Maker, NME, etc and add refs to the draft if I find them. Thanks for your efforts. Let's get this done! Julie JSFarman (talk) 15:51, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

I want to know why the Pahayi History created by me was declined --Olugbenga4 (talk) 15:37, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Olugbenga4: I don't see any declined draft called "Pahayi History", all I found was "Pahayi information", which has never been reviewed. -- Kethrus |talk to me 17:21, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- Update: I found Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/PAHAYI HISTORY, which got deleted because it hadn't been edited in 6 months (so presumed abandomed). If you want it restored, please take a look at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion/G13. -- Kethrus |talk to me 17:23, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

I am not clear why my article was rejected. I used reliable, independent sources and the new museum received -- and continues to receive -- significant coverage. This is a major new museum, notable not only for its extensive historic collection but also for the architectural beauty of the building.

- @PamMcP: Draft:Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West wasn't declined, it was deleted as it hadn't been edited in 6 months. You can retrieve the article by taking a look at WP:REFUND/G13. -- Kethrus |talk to me 05:24, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
