Speedy deletion nomination of Star Pirates
[edit]A tag has been placed on Star Pirates requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of 1968 Bluebonnet Bowl, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://issuu.com/smumustangs.com/docs/completemg/91.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

GT colors
[edit]Wikidude10000, Template:Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football navbox is part of whole class of templates for Georgia Tech (see Category:Georgia Institute of Technology templates) that are all be colored uniformly by making use of underlying templates (Template:CollegePrimaryHex and Template:CollegeSecondaryHex) which hold the color values for many American colleges. If the colors for Georgia Tech are incorrect, they should be changed at those underlying templates. I, in fact, just made edits to each to tweak the blue and gold colors per the PMS colors given at http://licensing.gatech.edu/colors.html. I see you quoted in your edit summary, "Authorized colors are gold (PMS 124), navy (PMS 539), metallic gold (PMS 874), and black." Where do you see it stated that "Gold is the main color"? Thanks, Jweiss11 (talk) 23:57, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- I just assumed that given gold was listed first, that it was the main color with the other colors acting as accents. I stand corrected, you made a good edit with navy blue.
- No worries. Thanks for your efforts to create all those missing bowl articles. There are a few things you need to watch out for in terms of categorizing and formatting. Take a look at my edits on some of the article you've created and see if my changes make sense. Also, I've put in a nomination to have Category:Citrus Bowl (game) renamed per the new name of the bowl game. That should be taken care of by an admin in the next couple days. Endashes vs. hyphens
[edit]Wikidude10000, a subtle thing, but there's a difference between a hyphen (-) and an endash (–). All year ranges (e.g. 1990–1999), game scores (e.g. 28–21), and won–loss records (e.g. 11–2) should be punctuated with endashes, not hyphens. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Dashes for more that. Bowl game articles
[edit]Wikidude10000, I appreciate your continued efforts to create new articles for college football bowl games. We've got a lot of gaps to fill and you've filled a bunch already. I want to point out a few items that will improve the quality of your contributions.
- You keep capitalizing the section heading "Game Summary". All section headings should have a sentence case, i.e. only the first word and proper nouns are capitalized. These headings should read "Game summary".
- I mentioned this before, but there is a difference between a hyphen (-) and an endash (–). All year ranges (e.g. 1990–1999), game scores (e.g. 28–21), and won–loss records (e.g. 11–2) should be punctuated with endashes, not hyphens. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Dashes for more on that.
- When yardage is used an adjective, it would be hyphenated, e.g. a "69-yard drive" or a "55-yard pass".
- In general, we should avoid the subjunctive mood when writing about history, e.g. "Syracuse would win the national title the following year." Would they? No, they did! This is a style evocative of the narration of many cheesy TV documentaries and it's not encyclopedic. It's much better to say "Syracuse won the national title the following year."
- Please take a bit more care when adding categories to articles. In many cases you have added red, nonexistent categories. Sometimes the issue here is a simple hyphen vs. an endash. Other times you are trying to add a bowl season category that does not yet exist. At present we only have bowl season categories going back to 1956–57; see Category:American college football bowl seasons. For prior seasons, bowl game articles should fall into a season category, e.g. Category:1955 NCAA football season, unless you want to a create a new bowl season category, e.g. Category:1955–56 NCAA football bowl games, and migrate all appropriate articles there. Again, notice how the year range is punctuated with an endash, not a hyphen. This makes all the difference for proper categorization.
- Please take a bit more care when adding wikilinks to other articles. In many cases your wikilinks do not point to an appropriate article. The link to Mark Weber on 1959 Orange Bowl does not link to an article for the Mark Weber in question. Other red links, like those to Brewster Hobby and Ross Coyle, probably should not be added unless you think that subject is notable enough to warrant its own article and you plan on creating that article in the near future.
- In general, your added content could use more citations. Ideally, every single fact in an article will be attributed to a reliable source that is cited. You did a nice job at 1959 Orange Bowl with the citation of the Oklahoma Sooners Football Media Guide using the citeweb template.
- When you create college football new articles, it would be great if you could tag the talk page for that article with the project banner for WikiProject College football. That helps alert other editors about the new article and coordinator their editing efforts with yours. See my edit at Talk:1959 Orange Bowl for an example.
- When you create new articles, it would also be great if you could integrate wikilinks to that article in related articles. For example, now that you've created 1959 Orange Bowl, articles like 1958 Syracuse Orangemen football team and Ben Schwartzwalder should point to it instead of the more generic Orange Bowl article, where appropriate .
Let me know if you have any questions about any of this or anything else. Just reply back here or give me a shout on my talk page. Thanks, Jweiss11 (talk) 04:11, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
- WikiDude, I see you are back to creating new bowl game articles. Please take another look at my message above from a few months ago and please pay particular attention to the second bullet (about endashes) and the fourth bullet (about uses of "would"). Thanks for all your work here. Jweiss11 (talk) 15:16, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of 1980 Orange Bowl
[edit]The article 1980 Orange Bowl has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable game. No evidence of awards, charting or in depth coverage in independent reliable sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. [edit]Hello. May I ask why you removed the filled-out references from the article? Since you didn't use a edit summary, I had to ask here. ❄ Corkythehornetfan ❄ 21:02, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
Somehow, removing those references made the "==References==" tab show up, which I felt was important, because until my edit that tab didn't show up. Wikidude10000 (talk) 21:26, 13 January 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:1989 Wichita State Shockers College World Series Champions

Too Many Crooks (1927 film) copyright problem
[edit]The plot description you added to the above article was very close to http://afi.com/members/catalog/AbbrView.aspx?s=1&Movie=12765, a copyright web page. Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation. You need to re-state things in your own words; simply changing a few words in a sentence is still a copyright violation if the structure of the sentence is preserved. This was detected by automatic plagiarism detection software. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the content had to be removed. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you think I made a mistake. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 19:09, 21 December 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Deletion discussion about List of University of Toledo presidents
[edit]Hello, Wikidude10000,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether List of University of Toledo presidents should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of University of Toledo presidents .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks,

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Presidents of University of Toledo
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Presidents of University of Toledo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and it is not presently under discussion at Categories for discussion, or at disambiguation categories.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —swpbT 20:02, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
RE: 1948 Sun Bowl
[edit]I saw the reference you added in </ref><ref>file:///C:/Users/ref15p/Downloads/05mediaguide-bowlhistory%20(1).pdf</ref> . I had to remove it, as that won't work. No editor can link to a file on their computer, you have to upload it to Wiki and then link to it. Before you do that, make sure that there's no link for it online first, as it would be easier to link to it that way, as PDF's tend to be a bit harder to reference on Wikipedia, since just about anyone can make one these days. Purple Aces
[edit]Can you provide sources (both from the athletics website and third party) that shows some teams called "Lady Aces"? I looked throughout their website and cannot find anything that refers to the women as "Lady Aces". They all say "Purple Aces". Thanks, Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 23:03, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
I couldn't find any primary ones, I suppose that since the main article's women's basketball section said: "The University of Evansville women's basketball team (the Lady Aces) have made two trips to the NCAA basketball tournament (1999, 2009)", I assumed that the lady teams went by Lady Aces. However, the media guides confirm that they go by Purple Aces. So it seems I was wrong. Wikidude10000 (talk) 23:25, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
Nomination for deletion of Template:Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball navbox
[edit]Template:Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball navbox has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 22:04, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
Navboxes
[edit]Wikidude10000, if you are going to create navboxes for the universities, please place the navbox in ALL articles you list in the navbox. Don't just list some and call it good. Also, before creating a navbox, please make sure that there are at least four (4) links to list in the navbox for it to pass WP:EXISTING. Thanks, Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 14:35, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
A second point for the navboxes is make sure there is consensus for making mass changes to existing ones, such as adding the "founded" and "location" bars. Further, for instances like St. Johns and Madison Square Garden, it is already listed at Template:St. John's Red Storm men's basketball navbox. Having the university template on the MSG page makes it seem like MSG is a part of campus or somehow operated by the university, which it definitely isn't. St. John's simply uses MSG for most of their men's basketball games. Similar instances with Template:Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball navbox and the Verizon Center in DC, Template:Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball navbox and Prudential Center in Newark, and Template:Memphis Tigers men's basketball and FedEx Forum. Heinz Field is an exception because the University of Pittsburgh is an actual operator of the facility, even though it is off-campus. --JonRidinger (talk) 16:48, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
Colors in articles
[edit]Wikidude10000, please keep in mind of a couple of things. First, the colors need to be compliant with WP:CONTRAST. If you create the tables like in Arizona State Sun Devils women's basketball, please use {{CollegePrimaryHeader}} as shown in this edit. It will automatically set the colors for the team, which it will be in compliant with WP:CONTRAST. Secondly, please make sure you follow MOS:HEADINGS. Only the first word in a section header should be capitalized, unless a word is a proper noun, in which case it will be capitalized. Last, but not least, the logos. Please make sure you are careful and don't include the primary logo (as you did in the ASU Sun Devils women's basketball article)... if it is non-free. This fails WP:NFC#UUI §17 and WP:NFC#10c. Only public domain images can be included in the articles... usually the wordmark found on other team articles for a university. Thanks, Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 23:56, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
- Wikidude10000: Please keep in mind of WP:CONTRAST. It would be nice if you followed the above and use {{CollegePrimaryHeader}} for table headings. I've given you an example and I'd appreciate it if you start following them. It's funny how everyone else is able to follow the practice, but yet some how you can't? Let it be known that the the last user who chose not to communicate with others and continued their old style was blocked. Yes, it was found they violated other guidelines, but that all came about when they would not communicate with others. It is pretty simple. Colors like Fresno State Bulldogs's do not go well together (red on blue). Thanks, Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 18:00, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
- Wikidude, please use WP:ENDASH the endash (– or
–
) when using scores and years (i.e. 2016–17 or 78–33). Thanks, Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 17:24, 23 February 2017 (UTC) - Wikidude, another suggestion for you is to fill in your references. Instead of leaving your references with bare urls like in Robert Morris Colonials women's basketball, fill them in. See WP:CITEHOW on how to fill them in with a template. You can use Reflinks, as well, which automatically fills in the references when you hit 'Reflinks'. Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 03:31, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- please, for the love of God, fill in your references. It wont take but two seconds. Thanks. Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 03:31, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
- Wikidude, just a suggestion, but {{CollegePrimaryHeader}} would be a better template to use for this. It is a lot simpler! See the 1st paragraph under this section on how to use the template... Thanks, Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 02:34, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
- Wikidude, the program's navbox should be at the top of the navboxes, not the bottom. This is common sense. Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 20:48, 10 April 2017 (UTC)

Ways to improve Southeast Missouri State Redhawks women's basketball
[edit]Hi, I'm Teblick. Wikidude10000, thanks for creating Southeast Missouri State Redhawks women's basketball!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. It is unfortunate that you have used only material from the university as sources. Wikipedia requires that references come from independent sources, such as newspapers. A university's basketball team should have had plenty of coverage in local media, at least. Look for that.
.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I copyedited the lead to tighten the wording a bit by eliminating unnecessary repetition. Also, you need to find some third-party sources for citations.

College women's basketball articles
[edit]Hello, I just waved in your various articles for college women's basketball teams, as these are verified college teams in a major sport, and the articles are at least stub-worthy. Here's issues to pay attention to in the near future:
- General lack of third-party sources.
- Assessment as start when articles appear more like stubs.
- Categorized with red (not yet existent) categories.
Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 17:31, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
- Just a reminder, because I see that you've already been previously advised about what I came here to advise you about: articles are not allowed to be "added" to a redlinked category. If you want to replace an "uncategorized" template with a category, you must find and use a category that exists — if you add an article to a redlinked category, that category will be stripped back off the article and replaced with the uncategorized template again. And this is the third time you've been reminded of this now, which means you're going to be running the risk of a temporary editblock for being disruptive if editors keep having to come back to advise you of this again. Bearcat (talk) 14:36, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
The article Cal State Fullerton Titans women's basketball has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This article has no external independent sources to show that it meets WP:NORG. A search on the internet turned up nothing aver and above routine coverage.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Domdeparis (talk) 07:04, 10 April 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:VictoryoftheDaleks.png
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on File:VictoryoftheDaleks.png, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for Deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of File:EricJohnston.png
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:EricJohnston.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
[edit]Unspecified source/license for File:TomSeaver41 Mets.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:TomSeaver41 Mets.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Replaceable fair use File:FlorencePendleton.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:FlorencePendleton.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:35, 7 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 20:02, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Film casts
[edit]I refer to your edit here: [1]. Please be advised that as per WP:FILMCAST, films are note required to have cast sections. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within is a featured article, and has been peer reviewed and accepted as among Wikipedia's best content. During the various assessments it was agreed that in this instance, the best way to present the cast would be to integrate the information into to article's 'Plot' section.
In general, it is not considered a good idea to add an entire new section of content to a featured article without first gaining consensus on the article's talk page. Have a nice day. Damien Linnane (talk) 02:08, 9 May 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Aelita, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vera Orlova (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Orphaned non-free image File:HardingBison.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:HardingBison.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:30, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:QuebecNordiquesWHA.png
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:QuebecNordiquesWHA.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Ice Harvest, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. If you want to say that something received "mixed reviews", you need to source that. I have no idea where you're getting "mixed reviews" from, as this is not sourced anywhere in the article, and the Rotten Tomatoes consensus is "rotten". NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 05:11, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
I could pick any opening paragraph that says "positive" or "mixed" that doesnt go with rotten. For example....from How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000 film): "Produced by Howard and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! was released by Universal Pictures in the United States on November 17, 2000 to mixed reviews, with critics praising the production values (particularly the makeup), Carrey's portrayal of the titular character, and James Horner's musical score, but criticizing the script, characters, innuendos, and inconsistent tone. It was a commercial success nonetheless, grossing $363 million worldwide and becoming the sixth-highest grossing film of 2000. It was originally the second highest-grossing holiday film of all-time behind Home Alone (1990), until both films were surpassed in 2018 by the third film adaptation of the story.[2][3] It won the Academy Award for Best Makeup as well as getting nominations for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design."
No source detected for that, and it doesnt even use "rotten" despite having a low score, it says....mixed.
So yea, I am going to die on this hill of argument Wikidude10000 (talk) 06:15, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:RalphWilson.png
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:RalphWilson.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. [edit]Hello, I'm Larry Hockett. I noticed that you made a comment that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Even an attack in an edit summary counts as an attack - example here. Larry Hockett (Talk) 14:37, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
yeah well tell that to the one going around being pedantic about "opinions" when stating a story about a ballplayer
this ain't this first time either, but I would think collaboration is a two way street where one eventually wins out in saying actual facts and being in the right
Wikidude10000 (talk) 15:36, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
The user thought six little paragraphs constitutes a section rather than my version with several more paragraphs and links on links, as evidenced by the previous history of the article
Wikidude10000 (talk) 15:45, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
- I haven't seen any personal attacks from him yet. If you're running into some pedantic editing, seek some wider discussion on the article talk page - or just walk away for a while until you think of a civil response. He makes some good points about the tone of the writing. A lot of WP sports entries use non-neutral tone, and we shouldn't accept it as readily as we usually do. There is really no minimum size for an article section, and even if you run into the most inept section creator on Wikipedia, you still can't attack him.
- One problem is that any point you guys make to each other right now will get lost in the heat of the arguing. You may have good points to make about his editing, but when you blow your top and tell him to choke on something, you are going to be perceived to be in the wrong. I hope this helps you understand where I’m coming from. Larry Hockett (Talk) 16:00, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
Oh I understand it. I just feel that having to do another run of editing about stuff like the 1962 season is a bit trying when the stuff is there (in my view, and that was before I put in season logs after season logs). Wikidude10000 (talk) 16:04, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Spelling numbers
[edit]Hi there. I've run across a couple of your edits recently where you convert two-digit numbers to be spelled e.g. ""12" to "twelve". Please note that MOS:SPELL09 only requires that 0–9 to be spelled out. For 10–99, if a given page is already consistenly using numerals and not words, or visa versa, it's best not to change the existing format. People would otherwise just go back and forth between their preffered format. Thanks.—Bagumba (talk) 12:23, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Serge, an admin here on Wikipedia. Months back, my help was requested in helping with the many issues surrounding Tommy Tallorico and the Amico. Some editors want nothing but to glorify and put a positive spin on them, while others seem to go out of their way to put overtly negative content about them. I'm working on keeping a neutral ground. Your contributions keep moving it in the wrong direction of skewing overly negative.
Please stop lazily forcing that quote about calling people "gaming racists" into these articles. There's honestly probably a way of constructively including it. But you're doing a terrible job at trying to do naturally and constructively. You're wedging in to the most awkward ways, making it blatantly obvious that you're just trying to dunk on him. Please put more care into your edits, so you're not violation WP:NPOV, WP:UNDUE, and WP:BLP. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 13:58, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament Final Four appearances by school moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament Final Four appearances by school, is not suitable as written to remain published. Right now, this appears to be WP:SYNTH. Are there page numbers for the information in this article? It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The article A Saucer of Loneliness (The Twilight Zone) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Does not appear to be a notable episode. No reliable reviews found. Previously redirected, but was reverted. Would be open to a redirect if that were the consensus, but supporting a deletion at the moment.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DonaldD23 talk to me 22:27, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
