DYK for 2014 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals
On 12 June 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 2014 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters had not lost a game in the 2014 PBA Commissioner's Cup, but were defeated in three games by the San Mig Super Coffee Mixers in the finals series? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/2014 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Nadine Samonte. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. –Davey2010 • (talk) 22:56, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
ABOUT the article 2014 PBA DRAFT
Hello Goodmorning WayKurat,
I am just new here at Wikipedia. I am sorry if I make/made any mistake. I just want to ask you a favor. I was hoping if you can help to fix this mistake in the article "2014 PBA DRAFT". I saw the glaring mistake under the section "Trades involving draft picks - PreDraft Trades". The mistake is in letter a. Is is about the draft pick of GLobalport. I am quite sure about these facts that i will list below:
1. The no. 1 overall pick is owned by no other team besides GLOBALPORT. They won this pick in the PBA LOttery held on July 1, 2014. 2. The pick that is being discussed in letter a of "Trades involving draft picks - PreDraft Trades" is the original pick (no. 6 overall) 2014 PBA draft of Ginebra. 3. The Ginebra pick was traded to Globalport in 2012. 4. The Ginebra pick was reacquired by Ginebra in 2013 PBA Draft. 5. Ginebra reacquired its pick by trading 34th overall LA Revilla and its 2016 & 2017 second round picks to Global Port.
I am hoping you can do the necessary editing to fix this article. Many avid PBA fans read this article and I hope they will not be misinformed by this wrong information.

Reverted changes on Abuyog, Leyte article
Why you revert back the article Abuyog, Leyte. The new data put in the article's link is verified true and correct which is the AbuyogLeyte official Android app link. It is submitted by an Abuyognon itself. Please revert it back to the previous version. Thank you. Orckclan (talk) 13:25, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Orckclan If it's official then you can link Abuyog's official website. Otherwise it's just promoting someone's app, and external links can't be used for promotion. Dougweller (talk) 08:19, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
- Dougweller There is no official website of Abuyog. This one is not promoting someone's app for the gain and benefit of the app maker but rather the app itself is promoting the town of Abuyog Leyte so this is very important to the Abuyognons. Don't tell me the other links also on the article is a promoting also the website. (talk) 14:25, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Grand Slam (PBA)
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Grand Slam (PBA) you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of PapaJeckloy -- PapaJeckloy (talk) 15:21, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- WayKurat, while this has been put back in the pool of nominees, I was serious about the prose issues in my post to the review PapaJeckloy started. I'd like to recommend that you ask the Guild of Copy Editors to go over the article. Otherwise, I think a review might be closed in short order. For the guild, If you note that it's a GAN they might get to it more quickly. I believe they're having a reviewing drive at the moment, which might improve the chances of a review happening soon. Best of luck!
- Thanks for the assistance. From the start, I knew that the article has issues, even if it passed its DYK nomination. And I really doubt Jeckloy's review knowing his background. I'll seek assistance from GOCE to further review this article. Thanks. -WayKurat (talk) 00:43, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
Re: Malusia
Thanks for the cover dude, that's much appreciated. And yes, my dad did attest that there's no way Asiong would form a single large, unified group back in the late 40s. He mentioned that at most gang members would meet each other in prison, but are in no way connected or related to one another, and in some cases even hated each other. Perhaps we should elaborate on this when I write up an LTA page. Blake Gripling (talk) 23:18, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

Well, since he's blocked, might as well help on this one. I have added his approximate location based from the IP addresses he used for voting at AFD and editing his Sindikatu related-articles. Hey WayKurat, thanks for helping out here. Is there an LTA case on this one? Have I asked you this before? (There's so many of these children.) Drmies (talk) 01:57, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

- I appreciate it. IPs are all over the place--Canada, New Zealand. I blocked one of them for a long time and then the next one for much shorter, figuring that there was no point in long blocks. If you are able to draw up a list of IPs, we can ask DoRD or Elockid or Kww to unleash their technical expertise and see what's going on. Drmies (talk) 02:27, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

- Here he goes again. This time, he's at 195.138.247.140, a Germany based IP address. From the way he edit the Angry Birds article, he may be a sockpuppet of User:Bryancyriel or User:Kapamilyaliker per WP:DUCK. -WayKurat (talk) 03:13, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- Here is the list of IP addresses this vandal used for the past three months:
- -WayKurat (talk) 03:19, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- After I blocked their local IPs, they started editing from web hosts and other open proxies. I've been doing my best to keep up with them, but my efforts are reactive at best. —DoRD (talk) 03:46, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks DoRD. They may be reactive but they are appreciated. Drmies (talk) 04:36, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Drmies, now that I have realized it, the string of anons IS from User:Bryancyriel a.k.a User:Mamaluigi2. After the numerous blocks against his IP addresses, now he uses proxies as mentioned above by DoRD. The kid is really obsessed with Angry Birds and may have a mental disorder as seen on the FB link he posted on one of his sockpuppet's talk page. -WayKurat (talk) 07:05, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

- Drmies, DoRD: Bryancyriel is active again. This time, he's on the 203.87.254.xxx and 203.11.23x.xxx subnets. This is more likely his original unproxied IP address since both ranges are based from the Philippines (Butuan City to be exact), where that user is physically located. -WayKurat (talk) 14:00, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

Malusia may be back.
See 202.65.183.2 , QZDRE3 and QZDRE32. Naraht (talk) 08:20, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- This doesn't look like Malusia22. The editors above just adds his name on the Crime in the Philippines article. I'll monitor them just in case. Thanks. -WayKurat (talk) 08:56, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- And yes, he is indeed back. He even threw some cuss words at my talk page to which I promptly reverted. We better keep an eye on this lad, guys. Blake Gripling (talk) 14:18, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Blake: He's back but the three accounts mentioned above are definitely not his. Just read his post on your talk page. He's acting really immature now. Maybe he is a troll or something. On one of his socks, he claims to be a member of Anonymous Philippines. I believe that the hackers on that group will not act like that. Maybe he's just a kid that wanted to troll Wikipedia. -WayKurat (talk) 14:36, 3 October 2014 (UTC)

- Lol on that one dude. Though this kid has stressed me out to the point that I spent the wee hours of the night on my tablet trying to swat this kid off. Which is why I decided to put up a consensus on having him permabanned off WP for good as per banning policy. Blake Gripling (talk) 15:38, 3 October 2014 (UTC)

- Saw your message on his talk page, though as per WP:TROLL di na dapat pinapatulan yan. Just do our usual counter-trolling antics on the lad and it'll be fine and dandy. Blake Gripling (talk) 16:09, 3 October 2014 (UTC)

You're right Blake, but I can't help myself in posting that. At this moment, my attention is divided to two trolls: Malusia and User:Bryancyriel, along with a laundry list longterm vandals. I was hoping that after reading that message he will stop, but knowing his history, he will just abandon that account and create a new one. -WayKurat (talk) 16:26, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- Blake, Naraht: Malusia is back again (49.151.108.155 and this time, he posted this "declaration of war" against us (sorry Naraht if you are left out) at his LTA page. Maybe it's time to report this guy's IP to the authorities so he will stop. -WayKurat (talk) 13:24, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- Now I have a proof that he's just a troll and not a member of Anonymous Philippines like he claims. See this comment on his talk page. -WayKurat (talk) 13:28, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- Blindly accusing others of a crime when, for the record, we haven't actually fired a gun or hit a baseball bat at someone? How cute. Blake Gripling (talk) 13:43, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
Also, I know you can't help but vent at the guy, but we don't want to give the impression that we're feeding a troll like him. I'd say we should just let him realise how we're laughing at his face and the fact he's making a dunce of himself. Blake Gripling (talk) 13:58, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- Oh men, they tell us to stop feeding trolls but I can't resist it. Well, we had a very long discussion with that guy and he's very insistent with his fiction article. May I suggest that since there are a list of IP addresses that this guy stays, can we report it to the admins and they will report it to Malusia's ISP. This may be a long shot but it's worth a try. -WayKurat (talk) 13:59, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- It's like talking to a brick wall. He's insistent with his gangster fetish, and so we'd just leave him to his own devices and let the admins strap him up and take him to the loony bin. Blake Gripling (talk) 14:05, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

Hope you don't mind, but do you, by chance, have one? Thought we might continue on our discussion about our good old friend there in private so we can coordinate our efforts in secret and without any possible interference from him. Blake Gripling (talk) 11:59, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

Move Digital transition section of ABS-CBN Corporation article to DWWX-TV article.
Hi, I need your help in moving the Digital transition section of ABS-CBN Corporation article to DWWX-TV article. I think the section is more appropriate in the DWWX-TV article since it pertains to the flagship TV station of ABS-CBN. I am not familiar with moving a section although I have read the guide in moving a whole article unto another. I hope you can help me. Thank you. God bless. The DZMM vandal
Hmm, been tracking this lad down lately, and while Aeontamaraw seems to be the sockmaster behind this addition of unencyclopedic content, along with the hallmark involving the use of the article title in his edit summaries, I'm wondering if he's connected in any way to Bertrand101, or if he has an even older master account. Blake Gripling (talk) 00:27, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- Nope, no connection with Bertrand101. Aeontamaraw targets different articles, and he mostly adds the phrase "this station operates on xx hours" on radio and TV station articles. Bertrand meanwhile concentrates on adding hoax malls on the Isabela, Philippines article and adds the names of the parents of Toni Gonzaga and Carla Abellana on random articles, even if they are not really involved in that topic. -WayKurat (talk) 13:02, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- Noted, though Bertrand appears to have taken some interest in editing station articles from what I gathered, hence the apparent connection between the two. Blake Gripling (talk) 13:25, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
Philippine radio hoaxes
I have blocked user DXWO (talk · contribs) for (a) corporate username and (b) adding hoaxes. I haven't yet found any confirmation for any of his string of new articles, and am minded to use Special:Nuke to zap the lot as blatant hoaxes, but would like a second opinion. Do you see any reason not to? JohnCD (talk) 21:39, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- Most of his edits are hoaxes, especially the newly created articles. Those should be nuked as well. Thanks. -WayKurat (talk) 01:21, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

You are far too popular, so after a request by User:Blakegripling ph I've semi-protected your talk page. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 15:20, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

Now Bryancyriel/Mamaluigi2 is vandalizing my user page after my talk page is semi protected. Many thanks to both of you. -WayKurat (talk) 23:41, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I'm sure that'll keep Mal and Luigi from messing with our userspace, at least for now. TBH I really am sick and tired of dealing with him, but I have this strange feeling when I don't come across him for a day or two, idk. Blake Gripling (talk) 09:27, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

- Hmm.. I turned that down twice, both nominators are just new users that I encountered in the past, and this was before I became admin at Tagalog Wikipedia. Sure, let's give it a shot. Thank you for the trust. :) -WayKurat (talk) 15:57, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
Can you give me a better idea of what's going here? I'm a little confused between ABC Development Corporation, TV5 (Philippines) and TV5 Network Inc.. It looks like TV5 Network and ABC are the same article but ABC and TV5 Network are for the subsidiary of TV5. The hoaxing is a little confusing and I can't figure out why the articles aren't just merged together. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 07:27, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- I'll use a US TV network analogy for this one. TV5 (Philippines) is like NBC, the former's owner is ABC Development Corporation, much like NBC is owned by Comcast. "TV5 Network Inc." is not the legal corporate name of the TV5 and some kid just created a new article for it and copied the contents of the ABC Development Corporation article. As far as I know, they haven't change their corporate name and they are still operating as ABC Development Corporation. -WayKurat (talk) 07:52, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- Just posted a sockpuppetry report on what appears to be one of Glen's sock accounts, especially as I noticed something really fishy with the Cignal article on my watchlist lately. On first glance I thought this was yet another one of Bertrand's handiworks, but this one's a bit more different, if not bizarre and inexplicable given the above mentioned page was merely a lazy cut-paste. Undrafted players in the PBA 2011 Rookie Draft
Hello, Raymond Montaniel and Christopher Pestano were removed from the final list of rookies in the PBA 2011 rookie draft. In fact Pestano was able to join the 2012 draft. You also need to include Martin Antonio of San Beda to the undrafted list. The final list include 34 players with 10 not being drafted. Also, it should be Ezer Rosopa not Eter Rosopa. - User:Redambergris (talk) 20:00, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

Bertrand101
Correct me if I'm wrong, but was it just me, or is User:Aeontamaraw and Bertrand101 the same person? One of the IP addresses used by Aeon, 112.198.64.28, appeared in a wiki apparently run by Bertrand after doing a rather random Google search for, among other things, an obscure wound solution brand called "Iodostrike". Blake Gripling (talk) 00:53, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- Nope. Those users are different. But this one (User:Audiovisual Communicators, Inc.) IS Bertrand101. -WayKurat (talk) 03:39, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- So, it's a coincidence then? Then what's with the references to the 2009 film in a wiki he apparently runs and puts his bizarre fluff into, besides this account? I dunno, and I may be wrong, but they could be two vandals "collaborating" with each other, or Bertrand's alter ego, judging from his apparent condition.
