53rd National Film Awards
Hi Vivvt, the external links section should be links to the official page. You can see more info here: WP:EL. If you want to use the official page as sources, a new section called References would need to be inserted. See WP:CITE for more details on how to use reliable third party references. Footnote referencing should improve the article. You can use the <ref> and </ref> for footnotes. Insert the references between the tags. More info on this section WP:CITEFOOT. --Visik (talk) 04:46, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry forgot to add, just an thought, to reference the tables, below each table, insert the references such as <ref>insert reference website</ref></nowiki> in the 53rd National Film Awards article. --Visik (talk) 04:49, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Vivvt, thank you for your talk message. I have checked the 2 references and inserted in the titles above the tables of data. I have also removed the unreferenced tags. It may require further references for each table but I have inserted the ones you have cited. --Visik (talk) 01:44, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Another link
Hey, as I see, not all the links in the previous link of the National Film Awards work, and I've found another good link of the DFF. There are so many awards which have never been mentioned on WP, like Certificates of Merit and President awards. We need to start working on it. Shahid • Talk2me 18:25, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- From what I see now - President's Gol Medal was what the Best Feature Film is today. There's a section of films in regional languages, and unlike today, in each section three films of each language used to get recognition. The President's Silver Medal was what the Best Film in (language X) is today. And the Certificates of Merit have been overlooked on here. It essentially used to be divided into gold and silver awards, like today, just differently, because today there's like a zillion categories, and back then they were sorted differently. A deeper check will surely have to be made. Let's see. Shahid • Talk2me 18:52, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oh that must be rechecked because I doubt he would lie... Now I'm filling the blanks in the Hindi Awards category. Shahid • Talk2me 19:20, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yeh, I think it can be removed. Shahid • Talk2me 19:32, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- Can't find the link to the 14th NFAs, and then also 18th and 19th. Can you? Shahid • Talk2me 19:44, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- BTW, here it is mentioned that Raakhee received a souvenir for her role in the film 27 Down. Is it possible that Bachchan got a similar honour which is barely noticeable there? Shahid • Talk2me 19:48, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yeh, haha I just still find it hard to believe Bachchan could either lie or be mistaken about something like that. BTW, how did you find the document for the 17th Awards? When I tried to enter it via this link, I was redirected to the 20th awards. Shahid • Talk2me 19:58, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice. Shahid • Talk2me 20:31, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

I did not know the fact about Reena Roy. Worth mentioning. The Amitabh Bachchan thing is less relevant because he just shared with them the moment, not the awards, and this is done very often in Hindi film award ceremonies. But definitely, the FF articles should be updated with facts on the respective pages and I thank you for taking care of these articles. Shahid • Talk2me 07:59, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- I actually have seen it a long time ago and never considered it to be that important. Actors often do it to acknowledge their fellow nominees. After all what counts is the organisation's decision, not the winner's. Shahid • Talk2me 21:21, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- Actually that's what I used to do for several years - removing red links from every possible article. I even have a special tool which is used to remove unnecessary red links. But then I got a message from an editor I respect and he said this was a very wrong practice. I think instead of removing a red link it is better to create a new article. After I expanded the Best Actress article of Filmfare with the full list of nominees, there were many red links there, all of which have been taken care of (mostly by me). Now there are only two. Shahid • Talk2me 10:29, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- Good. I moved it and copyedited it a bit. Shahid • Talk2me 15:09, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

File:SHYAMCHI AAI.jpg RGB reduction for IE
Hi. This is regarding the RGB reduction you did to display File:SHYAMCHI AAI.jpg on the IE browser with the versions prior to 9. This image looks like still have the problem. If clicked on the image, it is displayed properly, but when it is included on the article, it still gives the same problem of not displaying anything but a blank section. Can you please help me out on that? I am sorry I do not understand German that is why I am writing it in English. I hope you dont mind. Vivvt 16:10, 1. Sep. 2011 (CEST)
- Please use my en.wikipedia talk page to contact me.

- Hi Vivvt, it is surely a WP:CACHE problem.
- I did purge the image page and the article - try again. If it not works clear/override your browser's cache. Just respond here if needed. I will see it. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 22:15, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- It still does not work. Seem to be some problem with image itself. tried on several computers. Image is again tagged for deletion because uploader has not provided copyright information. Thanks for your help. I appreciate. Thanks. - VivvtTalk 02:29, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- Only a bot tagged it for missing source. I do not think a source is needed for fair use stuff, is it? Strange - I used http://ipinfo.info/netrenderer/ now to look at IE6's rendering - it is fine. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 02:15, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- Even I checked on the same site. It works there. It should be good to go as of now. And file should not have any problem as it is for fair use. Its strange that bot tagged it for source. I really thank for all your help. Thanks. - VivvtTalk 20:03, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Doubt: pictures
I had a doubt regarding pictures put on Wikipedia. I see how many Bollywood related articles dont have pictures. Not even poster snaps. & i assume that problem in getting pictures is that LICENSE thing. Its bit scary. But having studied few poster pictures, the license thing for them seems easy. Its something called Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. Now my doubt is.... do we just google search, get the poster picture & upload it Wikimedia Commons under this license? Is that all thats to be done? -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 21:33, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- Well... it doesnt help. But forget it. Can do other many things till then. But if you go here, under Fair Use section, the things written can be used for all movies & thus if this pic stayed from 2005 on Wiki, others can too. Isnt it? I am not sure at all. Do u usually add pics? -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 06:53, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
- Does this make a good example? Except for the line "The poster art copyright is believed to belong to Shahrukh Khan." :) -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 13:03, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
- This was the best example. Thanks!! -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 13:22, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
Hope this is all ok. Parasmani. -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 16:42, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Isnt this page Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Film/Indian cinema task force used for any discussions? I hardly see anyone around. -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 14:45, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- Oh yes! Its as if its my own page. :) Do discuss things if & when you have. -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 13:12, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
Nat Award Template
Are you planning to add years in the template? That would be easy to surf. Just like Filmfare has. Even if you havent created all pages, the template can have red links till then. -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 17:23, 12 November 2011 (UTC)

Certificate of Merit
Hi, will it be feasible to have separate articles for "Certificate of Merits". Also it looks like there have been awards for "Best Story" for sometime but later discontinued. —Commander (Ping me) 05:36, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
27th National Film Awards
Thank You (GarylawyerNFA (talk) 04:11, 31 December 2011 (UTC)).
certificate of merit
we cant create NFA certificate of merit article, because, some certificate of merit awards changed to silver lotus, some were discontinued, we have to include them in the related articles, most of the information is almost complete, for example at NFA best book on cinema, we can include certificate of merit on best book.
