Problem with vote counter
Congrats at exceeding 100 !votes! I think you broke the counter! (kidding) Actually, since the numbers are recording properly in the text, I suspect it's just a problem with the bot that creates that little summary box. If it doesn't fix itself in a day or so, you might drop a note to the bot operator.--MelanieN (talk) 19:04, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
- That's fine. Thanks. --Tito☸Dutta 19:13, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
- In fact the same thing is happening with mine. I have 86 votes but the counter shows 82. So it is the bot. --MelanieN (talk) 19:24, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, that's sad. Your suggestion seems to be the best. Wait for 12 hours or so, and then someone should go ahead to alert WT:RFA or bot-owner. Regards. (I started checking your edits and contribs, but could never finish it, as I am checking my watchlist in every 10 mins, do me a favour, please remind me on/after 19 (Jan), if I don't vote there till then.) Regards. --Tito☸Dutta 19:31, 15 January 2015 (UTC) 19:31, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
- I dropped a note at Chillum's talk page; not sure if they are the bot operator or not, but they were active in the history page of that bot. (Template:RfA tally) Actually Talk:RfA is a good suggestion, I'll drop a note there too. Yes, it is kind of hectic, isn't it? Good training for being an admin, where you never know what is going to drop into your inbox. --MelanieN (talk) 19:35, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

- You both need to wait for Cyberbot I (talk · contribs) to update the counter, which is transcluded from User:Cyberpower678/Tally. Bot owner is Cyberpower678 (talk · contribs). --Redrose64 (talk) 19:38, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

Adopting me!
Hey, this is Cartermassey. I am best able to help Wikipedia by putting my astute grammatical skills to use by fixing sentence and paragraph flow. I am an IT support specialist by trade, so I usually am able to look at other code in the article and mimic its syntax, should I need to do any complex wiki editing. Despite this, I often get stumped because I lack a ground-up understanding of how to write an article.
Thanks in advance for your help adopting me! --CarterMassey (talk) 18:41, 23 January 2015 (UTC)cartermassey

Blocking confusion
Excuse me but would you perhaps be able to fill me in why the blocked user PabloOsvaldo17 had been persecuted by C. - I'm not removing either this post or the next, but after PabloOsvaldo17 was blocked, he used at least one sockpuppet account in addition to editing while not logged in from the above-mentioned IP address. It's hardly persecution to enforce a block. —C.Fred (talk) 14:51, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

G flat major
Tito,
The article as it currently resides in Wikipedia is not very complete. Last year I did an extensive search for all quality instrumental compositions in that key and came up with the the list I attempted to add. This is the only such list in existence and it should appear somewhere on the web. Was the problem the format? This key is very special and the number of pieces in it are small in comparison to keys with four flats or sharps or less. I also added a list for F sharp major that you may also not like.

Hatfield Galleria
You are free to undo my edit on the above Shopping Centre, however two points to note, firstly the shops you have listed many have closed, one recently was HMV, Whittard`s closed nearly two years, and we go on with many more, so the information you are projecting is incorrect. Secondly, as it states on the header the article appears to be an advertisement for the centre, as opposed to a factual statement of account. Therefore it would suggest you are being instructed to run the page as a straight advertisement. To local people in the Borough (Welwyn-Hatfield) we wish the information to be accurate as possible, however you appear intent upon stopping any other person from changing your view and opinion on the Galleria, which rather goes against the purpose of Wikipedia. (Ellis-Oakley (talk) 19:56, 2 February 2015 (UTC))
- You are talking about this edit. You made changes (that included heading format changes too) without any edit summary or showing any reason. --Tito Dutta (talk) 20:14, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- Titodutta, I was asked as an editor to look at this article. There's a great deal of promotionalism to remove, and the contributor above seems to have been trying to remove some of it to justify a removal of the "advert" tag. Some of the changes seem appropriate, and there's a good many more to make--the extensive information about location is out of proportion.
- The Wikipedia article is intended for general readers who want the sort of information available in an encyclopedia. It is not intended for readers in the (Welwyn-Hatfield) area who want travel directions oran exact specification of what is available there. Such information belongs on their web site, not here.
- I am going to do some editing based on the better quality work on similar centers--I say better quality, because most of the ones in this subject field are at least somewhat promotional. DGG ( talk ) 16:43, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- DGG, yes that is right. Almost the entire article is unsourced. There might in another problem in such articles — figures and facts change almost every month/few weeks (at least in India).
There are more than 80 designer outlets already trading. . .
— it becomes unclear unless they mention "when?" Local transports/how to reach" are Wikivoyage content. Only 2 floor? We have a similar article South City Mall, that is just 4 km from my residence, has 5 floors and is double in size. I feel, the gallery section is unnecessary too, but the article is in a better condition. Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL Google News has few articles/mentions. --Tito Dutta (talk) 01:16, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- (stalking) @DGG: I've heard of the Galleria, a number of British shopping centres including Bluewater, Lakeside ("What's a chavs favourite w(h)ine?" "I wanna go to Lakeside!") and the Metro Centre get mentioned on local TV and radio all the time (usually in conjunction with congestion on traffic reports eg: "queues southbound on the A1(M) past the Galleria towards the M25, give the area a miss if I were you"). Anyway, the article is definitely notable IMHO and just needs a lot of cleanup. I've added one book source that briefly describes its history, and hopefully I'll find more. About "President's rule of Delhi, 2014"
Hi Tito,
I moved Delhi Legislative Assembly election, 2014 to President's rule of Delhi, 2014 while it was in the middle of that AfD discussion, which was an error of judgement on my part. As an admin, you can read the deleted content.
This purely about content. I'm not going to re-create it. Do you think an article about the interim period should be created? Maybe we should discuss this at the noticeboard?
What do you think? --Shirt58 (talk) 10:43, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Shirt58, firstly there was no Delhi Assembly election in 2014. What you suggested "President's rule" — that might be an option — but we do not really have articles on President's_rule#Instances_of_President.27s_rule. Yes, it seems to be a WT:INB topic. --Tito Dutta (talk) 12:03, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

Urgent
This pertains to an article called Nicholas Edward Alahverdian. Ok, so I noticed on reddit that people were going to spam an article on wikipedia. This has since become obvious. I managed to get it protected (by User talk:Callanecc and User:Kinu after the abuse started. As expected, the abuse came from the exmormon reddit where i had seen the mumblings about vandaising the page.
A user named Saosebastiao1(whose edits are now not viewable since the article was deleted and who initially started editing with an ip address) and a user named Villaged ended up vandalizing the article and that's when Callanecc and Kinu protected the page. I further noticed that Saosebastiao1 and Villaged could be two of the exmormon reddit people since Saosebastiao seems to have made an anti mormon remark here and Villaged matches exactly the screen name of a reddit user at exmormon. Also, Saosebastiao is an identical username for the exmormon reddit as well.
I then tried to get it speedily deleted under G4 because I noticed it was previously deleted. It was deleted. User:Nyttend reversed it and noted that it was not G4 because the article was heavily edited and contained new information. I then did a bit more research myself and found that there was more news and agreed. The article had sources about the subject from The Boston Globe, The Providence Journal, Associated Press, Brown University student newspaper, The New Haven Register, NBC news, CBS news affiliates, Politifact, ProPublica, the Omaha world herald, WPRO, WPRI, WJAR and others all directly mentioning and primarily featuring the subject. It clearly met GNG since the "topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" and it is "suitable for a stand-alone article" (see WP:Notability).
Multiple editors including User:NeilN, User:Nyttend, User:Doncram and myself made edits, supported that it met GNG, and did further research and sourced the article. Then User_talk:Floquenbeam deleted it again. This would not have happened if the page remained protected for the period until Feb 26 initiated by Callanecc. Now there are even more users (who may or may not be socks of Saosebastiao1 or Villaged) that are throwing mud at the subject of the article (also see here, here, and especially here.
And now they even have entire talk pages devoted to their libel of the subject. at the subject and even implying that I am associated with the issue or the people (I am not). Also, they are nominating pages for deletion that clearly dont need to be such as Matthew Fabisch who is a state republican party director and sitting Judge. This needs to be dealt with immediately please. EricJ1074 (talk) 07:14, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly; your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
