Facts from Twitter
Hello Tito. Need your help. Just wanted to know that can featured articles in Wikipedia contain information obtained from tweets from the official (verified) Twitter account of a celebrity. Bubaikumar (talk) 14:53, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- Twitter is not the best source, but may be used if it is very much needed. Twitter refs should not be added just to add additional information. Consider archiving it. --Tito☸Dutta 14:56, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

Removal of census data
Was going to leave this on Sitush's talk page for you two, but it looks like I better not. Before I do any accusations, do you know why they would be removing 2011 census data from alot of pages.
When are you supposed to hear back about your Wikimania scholarship? Bgwhite (talk) 23:13, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
- Census — I do not know, might be some consensus or something. User:Ssriram mt does lots of works in city related articles.
I have withdrawn WM nom. --Tito☸Dutta 06:18, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, Bgwhite and Tito - I haven't removed 2011 census, but replaced provisional with actuals and 2001 figures with 2011 in all Tamil Nadu related pages. Some of the articles used totals from provisional figures and private websites, which i have replaced with the government census website.Ssriram mt (talk) 11:39, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
- Ssriram mt, thank you. Removing what looked like referenced census data had me concerned. There's also a big dust up on Sitush's talk page about census data.
- Sorry to hear you won't be going Tito. Hopefully next year. Bgwhite (talk) 17:48, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

The article Sudha Bhattacharya has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- I hate to do this, as I love to have more women on Wikipedia, but, I am failing to discover how she meets our Wikipedia:Notability (academics) guidelines. Please expand with reliable secondary sources and proof she meets those guidelines. Thank you!
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SarahStierch (talk) 19:44, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
- @SarahStierch:, thank you. I am aware of this issue. I informed Netha on the first day I started working. Please see first part of this discussion. The worse thing is, there is nothing in world wide web on Indian women academics. So, even if they are notable, we can not prove it. Please see WP:INDAFDKI. I may not contest the PROD, but a) if you please AFD (and not PROD) these WikiWomen's months articles, that'll be helpful (we may expect a better discussion there), Plus, if you notify WikiWomen's article deletion nominations at Wikipedia talk:Meetup/International Women's Day, India (2014), it may help them. --Tito☸Dutta 19:57, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks for the heads up. I took a look at those links you posted. I really feel dreadful, and I understand the reasons why it's challenging. Popular media rarely covers academics in general, at least in the US, even, so, following the notability guidelines and trying to dig deep is the best option. We have ran into it also with women scientists in general (regardless of where they are from). I'm not sure what to do, I Just fear that someone else will nominate them for deletion and I almost would rather be the person to do it than someone less...knowing and empathetic. SIGH. Thanks Titto for all you do. SarahStierch (talk) 20:17, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, I think she might pass. It looks like she's a fellow of the India Academy of Sciences based on the citation you used. I believe she passes ACADEMIC because of that. So I'll remove the PROD and make mention. The article about the academy really needs expansion. SarahStierch (talk) 20:19, 1 April 2014 (UTC)

Promoting my images
Hi
Lol. Nice one. Unfortunately images are Bollywood hungama's and not me. Get no appreciation money wise or kind by uploading images. Just try putting up better images. Anyways not to worry you reverted my changes on the Ragini Khanna page before someone else changed it back, so am sure my self promotion has helped me gain enough fans to see these changes take place as well. Lolz. Have a nice day. Ps(the edit summary made it look like it was personal) Boseritwik (talk) 01:23, 5 April 2014 (UTC)

- That's a long article, I'll start review in a 2-3 days if no one attends it. --Tito☸Dutta 20:33, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
- Super! Many thanks for considering. Hopefully reviewing it will go smoothly for whoever does it, and it will be problem free. FYI, the hook facts are cited to a book that is mostly previewable online (though the actual page #s correspond to the print edition that I have access to). Therefore, you'll be able to confirm the cited facts are indeed in the book, online. Best regards -- Presearch (talk) 21:33, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
- FYI, In the article, I am
currentlycutting some book quotes or converting to (differently worded) paraphrases to reduce the total number of words quoted. Assume you are away for a few hours so this will not I hope be an inconvenience. I will leave a note here again when I am done. -- Presearch (talk) 04:55, 5 April 2014 (UTC)- I am now done with my batch of edits noted above. FYI, total quotes in text from the book itself are fewer than 400 words by my count. Thanks again in advance for doing the review. --Presearch (talk) 07:45, 5 April 2014 (UTC)

FYI - as you may have noticed, the page has been slightly destabilized (though the hook material is unaffected). As I am busy, it may take a few days for me to respond and for the page to re-stabilize. So I suppose you might as well wait until then to complete the review. I'll let you know when I think it's likely restabilized. Best regards -- Presearch (talk) 08:06, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
- Okay. Currently I am facing some issues with my computer too. --Tito☸Dutta 14:16, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
- Update: It turns out that the page was more stable than I thought. I just submitted a change, but it was minor - and, like all other recent changes, unrelated to the hook. In my opinion the page is stable enough for you to complete the review. Many thanks again -- Presearch (talk) 21:32, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you once again! Hook ran yesterday. Best regards -- Presearch (talk) 15:57, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
