What is legal and what is LAWFUL
There is no threat at all i have served these people a lawful notice do you know the difference between legal and lawful? i do and i have done nothing wrong and they have it is that simple i will be uploading this to the UCC as well so it is on public record i see absolutely no reason for refusal unless you are aiding and abetting in criminality. Who are you to decide it is a threat and in the same breath it's an announcement which is exactly what it is and i have also plastered the same notice in laminate around the build of this corrupt criminal council and if they could do anything about it they would they can't because i served them a commercial lien which was never rebutted and an unrebutted affidavit stands as truth and judgement in commerce i suggest you look at what i have said if wikipedia are not for the truth then don't publish it they are fully aware of this and chose to ignore it aided by all the corrupt corporations including wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Steven Kirk (talk • contribs) 22:38, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

Request on 20:11:41, 9 November 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by Kim.luxuriaco
Hello,
Thank you for reviewing my article so promptly. I would just like to ask a few questions in order to determine if it is worth resubmitting it right away. I understand that the article should read like an encyclopedia and be as neutral and factual as possible. It is possible to revise the tone. However what concerns me most is that since we are a new company we have no external publishings ie. no blogs or reputable magazines that have written about us yet. Does this mean that it will be impossible to have a published wikipedia page until this happens?
Thank you in advance for your input.
Kim
Kim.luxuriaco (talk) 20:11, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
- That is precisely what it means! Wikipedia is only interested in what people who have no connection with the subject have published about it in reliable places, (blogs are not reliable sources either) The article should be limited to a summary of what such independent sources have said about them. If there are no sources then we don’t have an article.Theroadislong (talk) 20:32, 9 November 2018 (UTC)

Mumbai Rationalist Association article decline
Dear Mr. Theroadislong, Thank you for reviewing the draft of the article "Mumbai Rationalist Association." The citation / references given are reports in two of the largest circulated daily newspapers in India. The organisation Mumbai Rationalist Association is a key constituent of the rationalist movement in India. The Wikipedia links of the newspapers, which were cited as references are as follows:
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Mathrubhumi https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_newspapers_in_India_by_circulation
Mathrubhumi is among the 10 largest circulated newspapers in India.
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Malayala_Manorama
Malayala Manorama is the fifth largest circulated newspaper in the world, and the third largest circulating newspaper in India, according to the Wikipedia article.
Therefore, we request you to reconsider the draft for creating an article in Wikepedia.

Help with updating article sources
Hello,
I'm writing to ask for additional help regarding my latest attempt at creating a Wikipedia page.
I'd like to know what aspects of my submission, the Gerovital Cosmetics page, I could improve by adding references. I'm asking for specific help from you since I need to ask my client for sources, documents and so on, but I am not sure about which concrete details can make the current submission a valid one.
It would help immensely if you could provide any sort of information (the required number of references, which topics require references, if the current ones are alright and we should follow that method of referencing etc.).
Thank you in advance and thanks for your previous feedback.
RazPalea — Preceding unsigned comment added by RazPalea (talk • contribs) 12:39, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
- Your draft Draft:Gerovital Cosmetics has two references neither of which even mention Gerovital Cosmetics, I'm afraid that, like many others, you have misunderstood what Wikipedia is about. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that summarizes what independent sources say about a subject. You would need to provide detailed references showing that Gerovital Cosmetics has received significant coverage, in reliable sources that are independent of the topic. You have a conflict of interest and are doing your client a disservice by attempting to write an article for pay, when you clearly don't understand the basics of how Wikipedia works. my draft of an article on Step Bunching
Hi,
The subject of "step bunching" is rather broad one and when I created this short article my idea was to have a seed to serve in the creation of full-blooded paper by many more members of the community. Otherwise, I would be able to quote many more papers including but not restricted to mine (https://scholar.google.bg/citations?hl=bg&user=RHf_exAAAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate#) So, I will wait until our last manuscript https://arxiv.org/abs/1806.10819 is accepted and then will return to this present article.
My technical question is how I can have more people working on the draft before being published for first time?
Best regards

Hello Theroadislong,
- Community Wishlist Survey – NPP needs you – Vote NOW
- Community Wishlist Voting takes place 16 to 30 November for the Page Curation and New Pages Feed improvements, and other software requests. The NPP community is hoping for a good turnout in support of the requests to Santa for the tools we need. This is very important as we have been asking the Foundation for these upgrades for 4 years.
- If this proposal does not make it into the top ten, it is likely that the tools will be given no support at all for the foreseeable future. So please put in a vote today.
- We are counting on significant support not only from our own ranks, but from everyone who is concerned with maintaining a Wikipedia that is free of vandalism, promotion, flagrant financial exploitation and other pollution.
- With all 650 reviewers voting for these urgently needed improvements, our requests would be unlikely to fail. See also The Signpost Special report: 'NPP: This could be heaven or this could be hell for new users – and for the reviewers', and if you are not sure what the wish list is all about, take a sneak peek at an article in this month's upcoming issue of The Signpost which unfortunately due to staff holidays and an impending US holiday will probably not be published until after voting has closed.

Deleting Jaxon Rose Moore?
Jaxon Rose Moore appears to have been created by a person having a close personal relationship the the child actor, editing under the name Scarlet Quinn, and not declaring COI or PAID. User Scarlet Quinn no longer exists. but the article does, SQ having put it into mainspace after deleting comments that were in the AfC evaluation. I tagged the article, but in my opinion it should be deleted for absence of of acceptable citations that show notability. And being TOO SOON for a child actor with a few minor film credits. Would you please look at it and decide whether to pursue deletion? David notMD (talk) 19:54, 17 November 2018 (UTC)

As you have mentioned, I added additional references for the information presented within the Gerovital Cosmetics article. Please let me know if any more info is needed, or if the article is sufficiently documented.
Also, I have disclosed the fact that I have been paid by Gerovital to write this article. You can find this information on my talk page.

Fake News. I wasn't shouting...
I am irritated most bitterly by the concatenation of unfounded accusations of vandalism being direct against me through Wikipedia, often months after the alleged events. For example, I met with an accusation of vandalism on 17 November 2018 by Theroadislong, for a (mythical) entry dating from around the middle of July of that year. Why the delay? The article was "Olive Oil". Look a the history of the page. My name does not appear as an editor. I never went near the page. I have confessed to having been condemned to a life of levity but no vandal am I.... Look at my Talk Page and you will find documentation of a small part of the abuse I have had to put up with for years. If one starts by dismissing bad faeries and bungling, then one concludes that there is something whacked in the coding at Wikipedia. The impression I have gained is that Wikipedia does not care about these problems.... Captainbeefart (talk) 05:38, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
- My warning in July referred to this edit [1] which presumably is a user using the same ip address as you, you will only see the warning if you are logged out. All good wishes. Theroadislong (talk) 08:54, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the technobabble. It is unintelligible to a dinosaur from the 20th Century. Somebody else can use my IP address? I am warned when I'm logged out? I am logged out for days on end. My essential question remains unanswered: How can Wikipedia justify making false accusations of vandalism left, right and centre without so much as a by-your-leave and without feeling any obligation to stop this practice and to apologize to those it has tarred? 19 Nov 2018 review of Draft:House Network
Hi Theroadislong,
Thanks for your review of Draft:House Network. I have read through the reasoning behind the decline. I still do not see how the article is considered as an advert of the business.
Could you please advise on what you would personally remove to provide the neutral balance required for its acceptance. In particular your comment regarding the Daily Mail, which I do not really understand.
Thank you. Keep up the great work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fernfuente (talk • contribs) 20:09, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
- For example "the business has now sold over 12,500 homes at a value of over £3.4bn" and The Daily Mail is never a reliable source for anything, see [2]. Theroadislong (talk) 20:15, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
Hi Theroadislong,
Thanks for your prompt feedback on this, the changes suggested have been made. I am now aware never to quote Daily Mail in any further work. Hopefully, the replacements used as sources are tenable and approved. Please have a look when you have the time to.

Existence of God page and Argument for the Existence of God page
Hello Theroadislong,
How are you? I recently made changes to the Existence of God page and attempted add a page called Argument for the Existence of God Through Redifinition. I think that these arguments do not require references since they are philosophical and can prove themselves. In cases were I addressed an external source, I cited the source. Would it be an imposition to ask you to review Draft:John Ferrar (London, Esquire). I have, hopefully corrected the problems. I addressed his notabilty, and I have added secondary references ref 1 and 2, both of those refences are heavily refenced and is full of primary references. I fear submitting it for review the second time for fear of deletion. Thank you. PS there were some gross errors that I correctedAlvanhholmes (talk) 00:53, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
Acceptable sources
I do not know what you mean when you say "This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). "
Examples please of "passing mentions. I have as references and footnotes, used more than acceptable published references that are independent of the subject. See footnotes 1 and 2. I don't know what else to do. I believe that it is not permitted to mention references in the article, but there are plenty at the footnotes and reflist. I am not being argumentative, just puzzled and needing clarification, other than being given a link to a wiki help article I've been reading those and what it seems to get down to is a matter of judgement. But what I would find helpful is concrete examples of why the references in my article don't qualify.Otherwise I am just banging my dense head against the wall. Articlehttps://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:John_Ferrar_(London,_Esquire)
Thank youAlvanhholmes (talk) 03:18, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
To the above let me add, in all respect. I am left feeling like a kid being told by teacher or parent, you screwed up and are going to be punished, without informing them of the screw up, and if asked told to go read the rule book and figure it out, if told anything at all. Or a recruit in training being told to drop and give me 20, without any explanation of why. In other words I feel like I have regressed socially since joining wiki. I know it is not intentional, but simply the customary style as everyone is so busy attending to so many users. I do understand and again I don't.Alvanhholmes (talk) 03:23, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
- Regarding Draft:John Ferrar (London, Esquire) the two sources you point out are books written by you, so not independent. You need to explain what makes him notable, Wikipedia is not a family history project. Theroadislong (talk) 13:46, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

- I'm afraid not Wikipedia has no interest in what the articles subject wants to say about himself, only what reliable sources have reported. Wikipedia is only interested in what people who have no connection with the subject have published about it in reliable places.
The article should be limited to a summary of what such independent sources have said about them. If there are no such sources which seems to be the case, then we don’t have an article. Theroadislong (talk) 21:29, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi, thank you for reaching out to me. I am a bit confused as to why my edits on the Noah's Ark Zoo Farm page were undone. Are you able to help me update the page? JTurnerVS (talk) 09:13, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
- You have a very clear conflict of interest your edits were mostly promotional. Offering wheelchairs and mobility scooters for visitors is hardly encyclopaedic content and this "The zoo has a bird of prey flying display every day at 2:30pm showcasing a selection of the zoo’s birds of prey" is just pure promotion, which is understandable as that's your job, but it's not what Wikipedia is for. You are welcome to make suggestions on the talk page for others to consider. Theroadislong (talk) 10:31, 30 November 2018 (UTC)

Thanks, Nomad2102 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nomad2102 (talk • contribs) 21:56, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
- Because Wikipedia is based on secondary sources. You need to show that they meet Wikipedia's requirements for notability. Wikipedia is only interested in what people unconnected with them have published about them in reliable places. Theroadislong (talk) 22:00, 2 December 2018 (UTC)

Hoping for help on article with primary sources and potential COI
I'm hoping you might have time to take another look at Johanna Hedva, an article which you approved in April 2017 through the AfC process. I had created a draft for an edit-a-thon at the University of Oregon originally, but have not paid much attention to it since then.
While it has had mainly primary sources from the beginning, it has recently been edited by a SPA editor, with details that do not appear in the sources provided. I tagged the article for primary sources (only a few of the sources are secondary) and left a COI warning on the editor's talk page. I'd appreciate your opinion, as I am not much of a COI sleuth, though I do have experience ferreting out plagiarism in student research papers. Cheers! — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 00:26, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
I think you had not noticed that this article unambigruously shows notability because of the named chair atthe university of Iowa , which meets pWP:PROF. The rest of you comments are of course valid, and I declined it again and gave a fuller explanation. DGG ( talk ) 16:25, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you, yes I missed that. Theroadislong (talk) 16:30, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
Reasons of why my article got declined
Hello there Theroadislong. I am Mason. I would like to humbly request, why was my article Draft:Alivate Group declined and what type of references that should be included and which ones did not meat Wikipedias standards. As for me i believe that my references provided are reliable and for those who actually check out those magazines, books and articles will actually get the informtion that i have published on the wikipedia article. But its ok if you have suggestions because i welcome them and all i want is to make my article fit for Wikipedia. Please do advice me. Thank you very much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theamazinnghelloworld (talk • contribs) 05:12, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
- 10 of the references are incomplete so cannot be verified, there are many spelling mistakes (though this is not a reason for non acceptance), it is full of unsourced comments and puffery the content is not written in an encyclopaedic manner terms like “He had a great talent in music and joint venture with John” “The team believed that everyone in this world should be updated with trending science” “He dreamed of creating a business at the age of 6 and wished to grew it when the time came.” “He met with many and many requested to join but we still had doubts.” are totally inappropriate for an encyclopedia article, we just need the dry facts with no drama. What details should I add to the Ariana Greenblatt article? I added that She was on Dancing with the Stars: Juniors. Is there anything else? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kathleenreandeau (talk • contribs) 04:16, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

I don't understand what kind of sources you want me to add. I have added the official website of the festival where you can find all of what I've written. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Axnikomou (talk • contribs) 12:56, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
- Articles on Wikipedia must be adequately supported by reliable sources so that information can be verified.
We only summarise what reliable, independent published sources have to say about a subject. If there are no such sources then we cannot have an article. We have no interest in what they say about themselves. Theroadislong (talk) 13:13, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
Addine References to Joe Doucet bio
Hi Theroadislong, It seems as if I am doing something wrong in attempting to add credible references to this bio page. New York Times, Fast Company etc. I believe I have followed the guidelines but I must be missing something. If you have a moment, could you please direct me a bit as to where I am in error so that i may fix the issue? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Contemporary-American-Design (talk • contribs) 20:36, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
- Your edit added a vast list of sources/external links, we require content derived from these sources. Wikipedia doesn't use external links in the body of an article. Theroadislong (talk) 20:48, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
NPR Newsletter No.16 15 December 2018
Hello Theroadislong,
- Reviewer of the Year
This year's award for the Reviewer of the Year goes to Onel5969. Around on Wikipedia since 2011, their staggering number of 26,554 reviews over the past twelve months makes them, together with an additional total of 275,285 edits, one of Wikipedia's most prolific users.
- Thanks are also extended for their work to JTtheOG (15,059 reviews), Boleyn (12,760 reviews), Cwmhiraeth (9,001 reviews), Semmendinger (8,440 reviews), PRehse (8,092 reviews), Arthistorian1977 (5,306 reviews), Abishe (4,153 reviews), Barkeep49 (4,016 reviews), and Elmidae (3,615 reviews).
Cwmhiraeth, Semmendinger, Barkeep49, and Elmidae have been New Page Reviewers for less than a year — Barkeep49 for only seven months, while Boleyn, with an edit count of 250,000 since she joined Wikipedia in 2008, has been a bastion of New Page Patrol for many years.
See also the list of top 100 reviewers.
- Less good news, and an appeal for some help
The backlog is now approaching 5,000, and still rising. There are around 640 holders of the NPR flag, most of whom appear to be inactive. The 10% of the reviewers who do 90% of the work could do with some support especially as some of them are now taking a well deserved break.
- Really good news - NPR wins the Community Wishlist Survey 2019
At #1 position, the Community Wishlist poll closed on 3 December with a resounding success for NPP, reminding the WMF and the volunteer communities just how critical NPP is to maintaining a clean encyclopedia and the need for improved tools to do it. A big 'thank you' to everyone who supported the NPP proposals. See the results.
- Training video
Due to a number of changes having been made to the feed since this three-minute video was created, we have been asked by the WMF for feedback on the video with a view to getting it brought up to date to reflect the new features of the system. Please leave your comments here, particularly mentioning how helpful you find it for new reviewers.

Question from new user
Hi, I am new and not quite sure how to use Talk. This is the message I posted in response to yours. "I apologize if this is perceived as disruptive but I am just trying to make sure the information is factual and accurate. The edits that were made yesterday made the article incorrect. I have disclosed COI as requested. I will revert to the original text that was approved for article submission."
Will you please allow me to revert the text to the version that was accepted for publication without threat of blocking? I appreciate your assistance as it is a bit tricky to figure out at first. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vanillabean43 (talk • contribs) 21:38, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- As you have a conflict of interest it is advisable not to edit the article directly but instead to suggest possible changes on the article's talk page. Theroadislong (talk) 21:47, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you, I have made the suggestion on the article's talk page. I appreciate your help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vanillabean43 (talk • contribs) 22:04, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

- In order to demonstrate notability, you need to provide multiple references to in-depth articles written about yourself in unrelated, independent journals, magazines, books or online. If there are no such sources then we can’t have an article about you. Theroadislong (talk) 08:10, 20 December 2018 (UTC)

following up - david webb new york page
Hi! Saw your comments - can you explain? Confused - I've received no payments for this work, trying to understand what's in violation of wikipedia terms. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimweiss96 (talk • contribs) 22:07, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
- When searching your name there appears to be a connection with the company David Webb and your content is very promotional. Theroadislong (talk) 22:11, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
- Trying to figure out the promotional language - I cited external sources quite carefully, would love to understand. Could you point out anything specific, so I can learn?Jimweiss96 (talk) 22:19, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: User:Usman87626/sandbox
Hello Theroadislong. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Usman87626/sandbox, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: It's from Life. Thank you. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 09:18, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
Your revert on Peanuts
As I later corrected my comment on the talk page, this deserves a second look. If you look closely at the article cited, Nat Gertner clearly wrote it (he isn't the subject, he's the interviewer who also wrote all the prose) but it was posted by someone else to that blog. I'm not sure how to cite this. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:45, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
- I wonder if it can be found elsewhere, perhaps with the help of Nat, after all blogs are not reliable sources as this makes clear. I'll have a search. Theroadislong (talk) 17:54, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
COI tag on Joanna Bryson wikipedia page
Hi. I made two very minor changes to the wikipedia page someone wrote about me because there were false (but nice, complementary!) claims that I was embarrassed that people were then saying when they introduced me before talks. I did this logged in with my own name, and with clear explanations for the history file. Now you put a COI tag on the page. Why? Did you check to look at the changes I made? Did you think they were unfair? How am I supposed to fix errors like that more transparently than I did? Would you have preferred if I didn't log in before making such fixes, like I haven't logged in now? Or do you think I should just let people believe I've done more than I actually have? 138.38.98.9 (talk) 18:16, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
- As advised on the talk page of Joanna Bryson when you have a conflict of interest, it is advisable to suggest your intended changes there for others to consider and then implement if required.
Greetings

Seasons Greetings
I stand in awe of you and your ability to review so many articles, in depth yet, and pick out nuances which others, including the creator, miss. While I am still mowing my miniscule front yard, you have mowed the lawns in the entire neighborhood. I have my suspicions that you are actually a team, for such feats are beyond the capability of ordinary humans. Or maybe it is just that I am sub ordinary.(That's probably it, most definitely) :) Seasons Greetings to you. Sorry I don’t have a personal template….yetOldperson (talk) 23:09, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
Jack Coles
Hi,
Thank you for accepting this article. It has been several months since I've lasted edited it.
Regarding your first revision:
I understand this is an encyclopedia, but if the sentence it describing Jack Coles's personality what's erroneous about it? Is it acceptable if I cut out "and almost always bought Christmas presents for his coworkers?"
And your second revision:
What is your reasoning behind this? Other light composers, like Charles Ancliffe have a bullet-point list of compositions. I would've written in paragraphs if I had enough information to go off of; however, there is so little detail on the songs themselves that it would be very difficult.
Adamilo (talk) 21:18, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
- It sounded very trivial and not encyclopdeic "The people he worked with knew him to be very generous; he often aided other struggling musicians financially and almost always bought Christmas presents for his coworkers" and the list of compositions was unsourced, all content requires sourcing. Hello Theroadislong, you recently reject: Draft:InfinityCore Health for "Comment: Blatant advertising". I would like to understand what is required to successfully post factual items about a company?
