Hello?
[edit]- Again, please refer to the ongoing discussion at Talk:Donald Trump to provide input about the page. TheAlderaanian (talk) 03:46, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
I still see that Wikipedia hasn’t removed Trump’s fantasy wish of being “reinstated” by August.
[edit]He still can’t be reinstated, right?
[edit]- Right, but he has reportedly still told people that he will be, which is significant enough to warrant a mention since no other U.S. President has tried to do this before. His belief that the election would be somehow overturned by January was also a “fairy-tale,” but nonetheless the fact his attempts to do so were significant enough to be extensively covered in the article. Also, if you left a message under my comment with a “::” you wouldn’t have to start a new section with every comment. TheAlderaanian (talk) 22:05, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
Getting rid of Donald Trump’s fantasy wish of being “reinstated” as President by August on his Wikipedia page
[edit]Hi. Can you please get rid of Donald Trump saying that he’s going to be “reinstated” as President by August on his Wikipedia page at the Post-Presidency section? We all know it’s his fairytale fantasy of him wanting to be President again, but it’s not going to happen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:85:4680:B0A0:B49F:C191:E6B:249D (talk) 18:21, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, the edit is currently under discussion at Talk:Donald Trump and I do not want to remove it without a consensus. The article has also been revised since I edited it and I think a variant of the current state of the article reading "In June 2021, multiple national publications reported that Trump had told several people he could be reinstated as president in August," should be retained. Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ck4829, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Vyborgsky District, Saint Petersburg, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Food shortage (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Thanks! {{u|Sdkb}} talk 18:27, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
Please consider providing edit summaries; thanks!
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.
Thanks!

Important Notice
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

citation with errors
[edit]If you are going to copy/paste a citation into articles, please make sure that the citation template is correctly formatted so that I and others don't have to follow after you fixing the errors. I've been seeing a lot of this citation template recently:
{{Cite book|last=Clark|first=Nancy L.|url=https://www.worldcat.org/oclc/883649263|title=South Africa : the rise and fall of apartheid|date=2016|others=William H. Worger|isbn=978-1-138-12444-8|edition=Third edition|location=Abingdon, Oxon|oclc=883649263}}
- Clark, Nancy L. (2016). South Africa : the rise and fall of apartheid. William H. Worger (Third edition ed.). Abingdon, Oxon. ISBN 978-1-138-12444-8. OCLC 883649263.
{{cite book}}
:|edition=
has extra text (help)CS1 maint: location missing publisher (link)
- Clark, Nancy L. (2016). South Africa : the rise and fall of apartheid. William H. Worger (Third edition ed.). Abingdon, Oxon. ISBN 978-1-138-12444-8. OCLC 883649263.
In that template
|url=
is redundant because the template has|oclc=
–|url=
should be reserved for link to the actual source; worldcat does not host a copy of South Africa: the rise and fall of apartheid- William H. Worger is an 'author' not an 'other'
- the template annotates
|edition=
so the inclusion of text that looks like 'edition' or 'ed' etc. is extraneous
Consider using this instead of what you have been using:
{{Cite book |last=Clark |first=Nancy L. |first2=William H. |last2=Worger |title=South Africa: the rise and fall of apartheid |date=2016 |isbn=978-1-138-12444-8 |edition=Third |location=Abingdon, Oxon |oclc=883649263}}

[edit]Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Superman III, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Please note in particular that just because a film includes comedic elements doesn't mean it's considered a comedy film. DonIago (talk) 15:23, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
Edits to DOY articles
[edit]Hi TheAlderaanian, can you please make sure that when you edit articles (DOY ones in particular), you provide an accurate edit summary (WP:ES)? For example, this edit contains many more changes than just one new entry related to New Zealand, as stated in the edit summary. Thanks, Kiwipete (talk) 08:21, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- Additionally, please take a look at WP:EVENTDOY. I see you adding a fair amount of events that don't have articles about the events. Just because a notable company does something, doesn't mean it rises to the level for inclusion. Thanks! Toddst1 (talk) 00:57, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
He was never going to appear in On Her Majesty's Secret Service and it had nothing to do with You Only Live Twice. If you're quoting some book for this nonsense, the author obviously doesn't know what he was writing about.
