About Neves: i repeat what i told you above, the BEACH SOCCER RESTELO covers the injuries part of storyline, for example with the line "As suas lesões, muito graves e constantemente agravadas, também não contribuíram para a sua afirmação no plantel encarnado.", which means "His injuries, very serious and relapsing constantly, also did not contribuite to him affirming himself in the reds' squad." (having addressed that and since you believe me i reckon, can i remove the tag?) About the user(s) that don't PC update: i know you are not an admin, but i noticed you were involved (so to speak) with both of them, i tried not to do the same myself because i have an history of 1 - not being listened to; 2 - being insulted to top it; 3 - not using the proper guidelines as far as warnings go. I dearly appreciate your assistance in this instance.

Hi - been enjoying your history articles on Birmingham City, the closest we will ever get to a proper go-through of the early days. Are you planning on taking it any further?
One thing I noticed, which never occurred to me before, is how much the club fell off as soon as we moved to St Andrews. Combination of loss of the cabbage patch - and perhaps financial difficulties having to fund the new ground? Ironic given that the maximum wage being imposed enabled us to catch the big money sides... I also note that had we beaten the Villa in February 1905 we would have been 2nd in the table, 1 point off the lead, with a game in hand...pressure got to them? yes, i could be more understanding of the other people's efforts in helping (i saw your summary at Carlos Milhazes), most are not vandals at all so i have no business exploding like i do, but if i have not mended that by now... But i'm really fed up with those WHO ARE vandals (you have no idea just how), hence it's really the best thing for me to leave after the 2014 FIFA World Cup, like i told you some years ago, this is not fun for me anymore, more like a chore. I'm not kidding myself and think "Oh, i leave for six months, cool down and when i return, it will be a bed of roses", no, vandalism in WP is just one of those certainties, it will NEVER end, just like there will never be peace in the Middle East and football will never be a "factor of worldwide union", it will always a place where idiots go to vent their frustrations insulting the players (on BOTH teams), the referees and sometimes maim and/or kill each other, and where the due participants (players and coaches) don't know how to win or lose - my country has two of the best in the world in that department, this guy and this other guy, latter loses at home with the bottom-placed and blames the refereeing, and his physio coach has been sent off more times than some hardcore stoppers in some leagues!
Back to the PC update thingy: 1 - i, more often than not, have this outbursts when the player belongs to a Greek team, because i am almost certain (cannot prove it of course) that it's User:Antony1821 fulfilling his threat of socking until the cows came home if someone blocked his original account, despicable as can be; 2 - i noticed that you corrected me on Athletic Bilbao players even though the update was correct (i.e. game ended on 20 APRIL 2014, i wrote that minutes after game ended, but without the tilde approach, is it still wrong like that?).

Awb
I do take responsibility of every edit that I have made, regardless of the program that has been used. Although there are some issues with the program as well. For example, AWB also tags those pages to be Orphan that are not linked by 3 or more pages, so we have to avoid it, especially with the new pages. Underlinking has been disputed too, that whether AWB should be used for tagging 'underlinked' or not. Although AWB is still great for identifying if a page has enough links or not. Footballer Nationality
You removed my edit for Sone Aluko's page without really giving a good reason. I changed it from just "footballer" to "English footballer" because that's what he is, and that is his official nationality. Look at every single other footballer article. Sortability for tables on season articles
Hi, could I ask for some advice on whether to sort the player tables on club season articles? I've used the sort function on the articles for recent York seasons, but with us playing in five competitions this season the columns don't fit on the page when the table is sortable. I've transitioned them back to non-sortable for the past two seasons so they're consistent, but I'm wondering whether to only remove the sort function when necessary like with this season? I'm also unsure whether to write country names in full or to use three-letter acronyms. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 13:33, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

- As you probably may have noted, i can't quit, i'm hooked, editing much less and avoiding all forms of conflict, but not quitting nonetheless. I added EMD reference to avoid what you just did, inserting a mere link (BDFUTBOL) as a ref. Also, i did not know you could write "...played AT LEAST three times..." in an encyclopedia, i do now.
Last but not least, you piped stuff wrong and not everything, i explain: 1 - there are two Marino ballclubs in Spain, Marino de Luanco and CD Marino, so you need to differentiate; 2 - if you pipe club names in storyline, then pipe everything, you missed CD Lourdes.

- Who am i kidding i can't leave, that shows how poor my life is (not saying WP is a bad thing, it is not, but there is life outside WP for sure)! But from now on (and i want to be blocked immediately if i fail in this): 1 - no more stupid summaries (no promises with vandals i'm sorry); 2 - no more wrong use or rollback; 3 - i will only edit in (some) Spanish/Portuguese football(ers), why the "some"? Searched like a madman through the Spanish WP for a source that he only played once in division 3 so that i could erase that BDFUTBOL link posing as a ref (you don't know how much i want to, not because you added, no siree, because of what i said, it's a LINK!), could not find anything, so it stays.

My concern is that whatever little was touched towards the end of the discussion two years back[1] did not show consensus that the seasons should be listed by clubs instead of chronologically but the template had been incorporated into the MOS even if opinion in the January 2014 discussion was clearly not totally supportive of listing by clubs, and may be used by other editors to cement their argument in the event of a dispute. Our own article on the Gay Meadow uses "the" interchangeably, but of course, Wikipedia is not a source. I think it is a totally undefined thing, as this link from the BBC while the stadium was still in use says "The Gay Meadow", while your official link said "Gay Meadow". I think WP:COMMONNAME revolves around mass media sources, so more investigation will have to be done before we get to the definitive (no pun intended) name. I'll never understand, however, this WP:COMMONAME thingy, if they say (example) Osasuna is the most common name of the club, why on earth is the WP article named CA Osasuna and not Osasuna? Mind-boggling...

- Consistency. We can't name the articles about FC Barcelona or Liverpool F.C. or AS Monaco by the name of their host city, because it is the name of their host city, so we have to use some form of disambiguator, of which the obvious one is the FC/F.C./AS. Given that, it'd be terminally inconsistent to name the articles about some clubs with the letters or whatever and others without.
- While you're here, do me a favour. Try the following Google searches:
- See how many results you get for each. I got six for the version with the CF in, a few thousand for "estrela amadora" and lots and lots and lots for "estrela da amadora". And that's in a well-known Portuguese sporting paper. If the Portuguese media doesn't even include the CF whatever in normal usage, why on earth do you try and insist that we include them in English? Another lost battle, i really don't know why we can't compress the subject's full name in box when it's humungous (as in Kenedy's case) if the complete name appears in intro. Fair enough, i have to respect other people's work, so i give up. But it's "interesting" that my changes are almost immediately detected (makes me feel like my edits are being watchlisted by other users, not pointing fingers, a general overview only), while - also in Kennedy - this anon idiot keeps screwing up player positions, in some cases i think he deliberately makes up the position, Kenedy was NEVER a defensive midfielder, and sometimes months go by before anyone detects anything (see here, http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Special:Contributions/173.46.250.48 has been warned to and fro http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:173.46.250.48); to finalize this first topic, i apologize for going berserk in the edit summary, precisely due the vandal's actions. Not to you in particular, but to WP in general.
Last but not least: is it me or is a jab being directed at me in the message you sent to User:MYS77 (very last line)? Please be so kind and elaborate. I can help in that conversation by saying that i don't know if FUTBOLME.com is a reliable source, only that it has a comprehensive database on Spanish football(ers, not all of them). - Please man, i said/meant "several editors" are watching my edits, did not say "only you" are. About stubs, another error in which i should not incur, it stops now, have no reason whatsoever to present as defense. Cheers! I did that to tidyup articles in display (or my very own particular "display"), but i knew very well that by doing that, for example, others would not be able to receive Suggesbot's tips to improve stubs, only doing it by accident. Bad, bad move on my part, sorry.
P.S. Makes me feel sad that you (so probably a lot of other editors too, as i repeat you are a very keen, thorough and wikilaw-abiding editor, am i am not being sarcastic, that is really what i think, i am a free spirit as editing goes, but obviously i'd have to say that the ones that comply with the rules are better for the project) think "...then an awful lot more of them would get corrected". Are my edits really that poor? Please be honest in your opinion, i'd really appreciate it.

My kind question about your opinion on the (lack of) quality of my edits does not merit a reply apparently, i mean at least i think i posed it politely. Regarding the PC updates, i am trying my "bestest" to only update box when game has ended or in the vicinity (i may incur in the occasional error, not saying i am perfect) so that no readers are mislead, but you still think it's a poor attempt on my part and revert me, fair enough (last time i checked, you can update the box manually as long as the dates are OK). Regarding Kléber Laude Pinheiro, he has TWO and not ONE app for current club. - Your last message was an eye-opener, even though i have never called anyone a "vandal" for not PC updating like you say in the start (maybe i misinterpreted, but surely looks like that's what your saying - i have insulted vandals and socks to and fro, i am not going to bull you when you know very well i have, but never for that!). You are 100% correct, my English is good but: 1 - i don't write purely in an all-encyclopedia style (i don't think i do POV, but i tend to be a bit poetic at times), more in a journalistic-type approach like someone pointed out five years ago or so; 2 - i have a hard time complying to several of the rules (at WP and in general in my life). Thus, it's high time i quit, i just improved an article on a Portuguese football player/manager because someone asked me to and... curtain call! It's crystal clear that me and WP don't mix even though i belong to the "good bunch", much like a gifted footballer has to leave a club because he does not fit with its playing style.

Please see the external links, #2 (futbolme.com). It says six goals in 2011-12 and 6 more in 2012-13 (although one of them was with the first-team, so minus one, five). - Well, it was (and is) explained in the very first line of the 'club career' storyline, with a reference. I can't guarantee 100% the reliability of the stats (as I only have three sources, and one of them has been labelled "totally unreliable"), but I'm pretty sure this is enough. But saying the content was "challenged", when an IP user was the one who removed it, I don't agree that much. - Again i have to admit, i agree with your reasoning and appreciate the sincerity. But please (and mind you, this is not a taunting question, it's really "filled with technicalities" and desire to learn), isn't an external link a form of reference, albeit in a different zone? Oh, and the other part of my summary was due to the fact the user, whilst adding his source to the box, removed the reliable Soccerway.com one when he could have kept both. That summary was also a bit inaccurate, i've outgrown reporting people. Cheers back.

Seeing that you are having quite a handful reverting me in the players' full names, i have a hard time grasping the following: if we compress the club names in the box, what is wrong in compressing the person's name? "Dos", "De" and "Da" don't even mean anything in the English language as far as naming customs go, and the full name appears in the introduction.

PC updates
On the subject, wanna have a go at this ACF Fiorentina fan? Like the AEK Larnaca F.C. guy i discussed above, the person has never written an update in TWO or THREE YEARS. However, it's a lost battle, in Khouma Babacar, before i stepped in i found three different anon IPs (at least this one has been warned, the others i still have not investigated http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:94.34.163.48), the person is untrackable pretty much; those two, alongside the many anon forms of User:Antony1821 (not only did he promise to sock until the end of time if his original account was blocked but he also does not PC update), are quite the handful!
Done talking to walls like these two (whether they do it on purpose or they simply don't know how to read a message, the feedback is the same, that of talking to a concrete object), i'm getting way overengaged again, in the long run both me and the site suffer so it's not good (no man, not saying i'll retire for the umpteenth time, just saying i need to edit already and chill out). I apologize for having forgotten to pipe the club names again after my edit, but the "foot stays down", and in no way is this a personal beef.
1 - you left the article incoherent in display, with some clubs piped and others unpiped; 2 - tags: I repeat, I have seen hundreds of articles that have no "citation needed" or akin tags for months. Suddenly, after I make some improvements there, they suddenly receive the tag, I am desperate to see the connection between the two actions; 3 - again, you accuse me of calling "vandals" to fellow users just because they don't PC update the box, when I have never done such a thing, please STOP (I have called vandals and worse to others, but not for that, for vandalism maybe?)!
4 - last but not least, when do you think it's possible to crack down on the user(s) that "update" the ACF Fiorentina and AEK Larnaca F.C. players? Not asking you directly to do it, of course, just saying what it's like, and what is it like? If not for me, those boxes would not have been updated in years, simple as that; as you say towards the end of your message, it's very tedious.

I have to side with you in the summaries, I gotta stop getting so wound up about this, WP does not belong to me and it does not put food on my table. Regarding the opening line of Mexer, and what's the problem with not including that there? Not all footballers are internationals, thus: 1 - it will be more coherent if we leave all players the same ("...is a Y footballer that plays for X club as a Z"); 2 - that he is a current international will be shown by the fact the box is not closed in that department ("2007-").

I did wonder how far "down" it should go. I think roles like Darren Robinson's have become more senior of the last few years, but I see where you are coming from. I was half thinking about creating a page for Beale, but I'm not sure it is worth it. undoubtedly, these surnames (Hernández, Fernández) are of Hispanic background, and are written without the accent in the French language. However, that does not change the fact that Luis Fernández is SPANISH and his last name has an accent, so I wager Hernández would have the same "grammatical reasoning". I offered said reasoning to the two users last connected to the article, one of them moved the page, you chose to reinstate the previous version, okeydokey, it stays that way.

- Maybe what it boils down to is that both versions are correct (with the accent, without), if you notice JF Hernández's BDFUTBOL.com entry, it has the accent. I stress again, Luis Fernández has an accent in Spanish, in French it does not. Then again, since Fernández is Spanish (he could have played all he wanted for France, he's Spanish but naturalized French) but Hernández is 100% French, I see your train of thought for removing the accent in the latter guy; I am in no way criticizing your work, I am merely doing what people are supposed to do over here, discuss contents and ways of improving them.

I admit that my summaries may look like I am on a power trip (WP:OWN), and some of my actual edits sure look like it, but I know I don't own any articles here. However, if my summary was hard, and for that I apologize, so was yours ("...something resembling English").
However, in this one particular piece, the piping or not piping aside: you removed links of competition, leaving Segunda División hiding a season of that competition, the same with UEFA Cup. Bordeaux was a series of removals altogether, beats me why. And isn't it logical that, if Espanyol climbed from the second tier, where they finished sixth next was in La Liga? And why do we have to say La Liga (or any other league) until the cows come home in texts? For starter, it's not even an English word; and "funny" how some people (of English tongue) here have stressed that the full name of the (this) team is Real Betis and you have to write it like that even in box, but then we can't even unpipe in storyline, where's the coherence in that?
With trolls such as this one I even relish the prospect of leaving some articles (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:188.81.115.107), so I have never edited S.L. Benfica-related stuff to avoid being taunted by these "people". However, when it's clearly not the case (just two good editors "going at it"), it really saddens me. But don't worry, i'll never edit Mr. Mestre's article again if that is the best.

As far as I thought, I thought "rescinds/ed his contract" could mean an unilateral move (the player forced it, or the club sacked player due to violation of internal regulations), but in the second paragraph we can read "El club catalán y Raúl Rodríguez han llegado a un acuerdo para rescindir el contrato", translated "The Catalan club and RR have reached an agreement to rescind the contract", so it was mutual consent in this case.

Hello Struway,
If you check the link here [[38]] the link goes to Darren Randolph. Yes, the link was described as being to Jack Butland, but this was in error. I replaced that link with a link to Premier League and you in turn replaced that with a link to Jack Butland at Stoke. At least your edit now goes to the correct player (as mind did) but the mistake in editing wasn't mine. We just chose different ways to correct the error. Cheers. 1 - Cristian Portilla: my actions were per this reasoning, I thought only publisher (or work, or newspaper, or whatever) sufficed for the author of the source, I thought we did not had to have two, matter of fact the vast majority of sources on footballers only have one field per that; I also removed loans because I thought what was already covered by the infobox and it did not need repeating.
I am not going to use the word "stalking" because it would be unfair to you and a downright lie, but I feel my edits are still under great scrutiny. Well my wiki-friend, I am not going to get any better as far as technicalities go, not doing what I do to spite anybody; I also repeat, I know that whatever you do is ALWAYS for the good of the project and that you don't have anything against me. What is exactly the thing that you feel where I should improve the most from my current wiki-status quo (the obnoxious summaries notwithstanding)?
2 - What about Pablo Ibáñez's England career? I read in his article that his contract expired and he was released, but I never saw him in action in any games in your country. I thought he was perfect for the English football that's played in the divisions 2-4, quite physical and with good aerial ability, but little mobility.

- It's alright, I think there's definitely something lost in translation from both parties on this one. I get what you're saying though, Clark being the captain is in the prose, but only for the 2004-05 season, and although he was the season before, it's not stated in the article. Again same thing applies for Hayden Mullins, who I've noticed that you reverted my edit for. He was Crystal Palace captain for the 2002-03 season, which is stated, and is the current Notts County captain, which is not.
- Also not sure if this was a typo, but it's the other around: Andy Melville was captain before Clark, and then Boa Morte took over in 2005. Not that it matters now anyway!
- I do think that it's interesting to see who preceded or succeeded a player in the role of captain, but I suppose, in this case, there's very little point to leave it in.

Lluís Coll - Bits and pieces
Was not hoping for much, but tried to improve article to the best of my abilities (and please note this was my first time ever editing there, I had no idea who created the piece until I landed there TODAY)...
Now, for the technicalities, which mainly are three: 1 - I thought the intro was supposed to contain a summary of the person's career and highlights, how are TWO caps (one for a team that does not even have a WP article) notable? 2 - player position, you often complain about me writing "wingback" in the infobox and another thing in the introduction, now do exactly the same, can I please see the difference? 3 - categories, my order M.O. is: personal cats; X country footballers; player position(s); leagues; clubs; foreign leagues/clubs if any; international stuff (if any); manager stuff (if any), what is the order you have chosen for Mr. Coll's article? 4 (not very important, but i'll bring it forth anyway) - don't the English people ever write a match result in full, "two to one" instead of "2-1"? That was exactly what I was trying to convey in reference #14.

Hello Struway.. I saw you reverted my Denny Johnstone edit, which is fine. Today, Danny Haynes made his Cheltenham debut wearing No. 9, the same squad number as Johnstone wore. Then I checked footballsquads.co.uk and they have Johnstone as having left the club, but I could not find anything else to say that his loan spell was cut short. All a little strange. turns out neither of us were correct in this player's infobox years. For example, his Valladolid spell ended in DECEMBER 2005, thus he returned to Bilbao in JANUARY 2006. Me? The endless anon contributors? User:GTVM92?
Speaking of the latter, somebody should have a word with him about this article (my second message, albeit still pretty mild, shows sign of escalation and I don't need that, and neither does WP, his reaction to the first (see here http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=User_talk:GTVM92&diff=654521748&oldid=654521706) was something else (no reply, changed everything else, made said ref #35 make absolutely no sense with what he wrote)), maybe someone else will have more luck in receiving a reply.
