Re: Sockpuppet comment you made
I saw TheKingsTable making disruptive, poor, and untruthful edits on articles like Asteroids (video game) and Sega Saturn. He's one of the sockpuppets used by Jakandsig, for whom Berean Hunter blocked for 3 weeks. Jak's words in general are obviously contrary to what he does: Jak/TheKingsTable claims any chaos from him is done by someone else: when he accuses editors of any problems, it's evident that he is the only one making the problems. He is evading the block through illegitimate and abusive use of sockpuppets, and he must be permanently banned from creating and using any account that's not "Jakandsig". IX|(C"<) 21:00, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- I hope you realize a nice part (especially asteroids) of this paragraph above is a lie and will be used against you later right? You really think you are going to get away with saying that an edit you agreed with was disruptive? It's clear in the history you randomly reverted it without reason. But please continue to do this, it will sure help me a lot. TheKingsTable (talk) 22:22, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- Nobody trusts you, Jak, because many of your comments are actually angry lies (for example: "Recently, I have had users making up false claims about my account"), and you're a disruptive, frustrated, poor editor with multiple sockpuppets. Someday, you and your sockpuppets will be banned indefinitely.

Initially, I treated him as if he were a well-understood newcomer, but after discovering his actual nature I stopped thanking him for his edits on Asteroids. Jak claimed that I was disruptive in an edit summary of one of his edits on that article, in which he added this phrase to the lead: "as well as being one of the earliest". That phrase is factually inaccurate in the sense of the Arcade game Wikipedia article, which states the earliest arcade games came from the late-19th/early-20th century; if one's definition of arcade games is restricted to "video games found in midways," then Asteroids could be one of the first such; Jak's meaning of the phrase is that Asteroids was released during the early years of the golden age of arcade video games. This paragraph means many users don't share his belief, and his edits can create debates/conflicts and cleanup from other users. IX|(C"<) 21:00, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- Calling names without confirmation is just going to hurt you more. You also did share the belief because you originally thanked me for the edit. That's 4 lies now. It's even funnier that indrian made the same edit, just reworded. Which apparently you were fine with. TheKingsTable (talk) 23:06, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- I like Indrian's edits to Asteroids (video game).

- I like Indrian's edits to Asteroids (video game).
The reason why I think TheKingsTable is a sockpuppet is because he shares many of Jak's traits (he edits articles Jak and his sockpuppets ruined in very similar, disruptive manners, his edit summaries and comments are anti-social, he accuses other users of problems that he did, his edits are poor in several ways), and he was created 5 days after another sockpuppet, KombatPolice, was blocked. IX|(C"<) 21:11, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Jakandsig/TheKingsTable must be brought to WP:SPI (and maybe WP:AN/I) because of his false statements, disruptive edits, and violations of the 3-week block. IX|(C"<) 21:00, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

I understand what you are doing, but the information I am trying to put on the PS4 page is already in the article. So there is no need to go to the talk page. If I am not mistaken, the first part of all articles is used usually to summarize the rest of the article. The PS4 being of an American design is also an important fact that should be included. Most of your attempts are either riddled with mistakes, or just read really awkwardly. (When you insert info into the middle of paragraphs, you really ought to re-read it as a whole to make sure your changes make sense.)

Fireball24fire
Hey, just a heads up-- User:Fireball24fire will likely be a problematic user. He is actually another user, User:22dragon22burn, who stopped editing in November. That user had problems uploading copyrighted images from Super Mario Wiki that poorly illustrated their articles' subjects and were merely decorative. He updated existing images of character art just because there were new ones available, whether or not they represented the subject better. Fireball24fire is repeating the same pattern, particularly with this image of Lakitu and this Koopalings image. It is also worth noting that he re-uploaded this image which I requested to be deleted in July because it was an extremely poor representation of the subject. I've already given him a final warning. I'm letting you know now in case he does this behavior again. Since he seldom responded to talk page comments as 22dragon22burn, it's likely he'll keep doing it. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 17:07, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
- @ThomasO1989:, sorry it took me so long to respond, I'm not an expert on image stuff. Did he stop after the last warning? If not, I can either warn him once more (to be extra nice) or give him a block. Sergecross73 msg me 15:43, 10 March 2014 (UTC)

- Don't worry about it. I became an Admin so I'd be able to help people with issues like this, because I always appreciated it when Admin would look into things like this for me. But yeah, with 22Dragon, its frustrating that he doesn't really respond/interact...but at the same time, it seems like in the past, he does stop when a hard warning is given. SPI/Check User assistance
Re your closing summary: did you check the links I provided? I wasn't seriously suggesting contacting WMF :-) The way to stop all sockpuppets entirely is a Very Bad Thing, and the same is true of the stewards' ability to lock out edits by everyone. Nyttend (talk) 04:05, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Haha, sorry @Nyttend:, I guess I didn't check them. I think it was pretty late when I read your response, and I already was pretty certain there was nothing else that could be done, so I guess I breezed over it too quickly. (I did notice that you accidentally deleted the AFD discussion instead of the article, that gave me a chuckle.) But yeah, this sockpuppet, he's annoying and disruptive, but it's mostly just vandalizing or POV-pushing to obscure video game articles, so its not like higher action would even be warranted. The sock is either incapable of representing himself in a different manner, or likes getting caught, so its pretty easy to just keep an eye out, and keep blocking his obviously bogus accounts. Sergecross73 msg me 15:01, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- So he's "working" almost all on video games? In that case, it might be feasible to develop an edit filter. I have no knowledge of regex at all, so I can't offer any specific suggestions, but you might ask someone who's active at WP:EF. Nyttend (talk) 17:30, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
Hi there!
I saw you on the Sonic Generations wiki edit history with a couple others, so I have a question for you. Am I allowed to post the PC requirements needed to run the game? If I am, could you tell me were in the wiki I would put it? BustaBunny (talk) 14:27, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- To respond to your question, I believe the current consensus regarding this is to not include required specs for PC games in articles, because Wikipedia isn't a "How-To" Guide or Help Manual. Sergecross73 msg me 14:53, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
Cool. One more question, if a game that is on both PC and consoles uses two different engines, can I add those engines to the info panel on the right? BustaBunny (talk) 14:56, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, sure. It might be good to have a source ready if anyone challenges it though - I'd be kind of surprised that it hadn't already been added over the course of the last few years. Sergecross73 msg me 15:03, 16 March 2014 (UTC)

- I'm wondering if User:Jameromeo is a Jakandsig sockpuppet because he edited Cambodian Civil War.
IX|(C"<)19:01, 16 March 2014 (UTC)- Well, most of Jame's edits are mobile, not videogame-related, and okay.
IX|(C"<)19:06, 16 March 2014 (UTC)- There is absolutely no reason to suspect Jameromeo has any connection to Jakandsig. He knows about Cambodia and appears to be a Cambodian who speaks with slightly poor English. Jakandsig, by contrast, simply followed me there for some random IP vandalism. As for BustaBunny: While extremely suspicious, I declined to report him earlier because I just can't imagine why Jakandsig would directly confront Jim1138, Sergecross, and I with his latest sockpuppet.TheTimesAreAChanging (talk) 19:15, 16 March 2014 (UTC)

An indefinite block does not stop an editor from using sockpuppets. A site-ban can disallow him or her the creation of Wikipedia user accounts. Mr*|(60nna) 17:18, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- No, that's what I'm saying. Bans don't do that. Check out WP:BAN. There's nothing to that effect. Minus things like WP:RANGEBLOCKs, I don't think there's really any ways to do that. If there are, I'm not aware of it. Sergecross73 msg me 17:59, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, I get what you're saying because I read WP:IPB. Rangeblocks, not site-bans, can block IP addresses, but site-banned users can't make an edit on Wikipedia either with a user account or unregistered at anytime. So IP addresses can't be banned anyway because they're not registered. Yes, a banned user creates a user account for block evasion, so if Wikipedia had a kind of ban in which he or she can't create accounts and edit anything on Wikipedia, that is bigger than a site-ban.

Project64 restored
Hi,
Thanks for your input with Project64. I have just restored the article and hopefully addressed most issues. I was hoping you could review/patrol it. The next articles I intend to expand are Mupen64 to be merged with Mupen64Plus and Nestopia. Also I was wondering if I could get your input on an unrelated topic:
I moved Vector Group to Vector Group (company) to avoid confusion with Vector group however it was moved back by Svgalbertian citing "the simplest name without the need for disambiguation is the proper redirect". I feel this could cause confusion as there is only a single lower case difference and that Vector Group (company) is more proper. What do you think is there a rule regarding this? Thanks! Valoem talk 17:56, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Regarding P64, as I said at the WikiProject talk page, I really feel like P64 barely meets the WP:GNG at the moment, so, while I can monitor it, if someone made a good case, I could be persuaded to support redirecting it again. I'd recommend you try to keep working on it. I can try to see if I can add anything.
- Regarding your "Vector" examples, I just posted the question here because it seems like I've seen it handled both ways, and I'm not totally sure which way is correct/preferred. Lets see if anyone responds and take it from there. Sergecross73 msg me 18:15, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll see what I can do. Right now there is only one line of WP:OR under Compatibility and performance. I'll see if I can find anything. Valoem talk 18:21, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Not to spam User:Sergecross73's talk page, but I noticed you mentioned me. Here is my understanding, and he can correct me if I am wrong, article titles are to be as simple as possible. If you feel Vector Group causes confusion for people creating wiki links, then it should be redirected to Vector group (disambiguation) where both are presented. It is only then you are forced to disambiguate the title. You chose Vector Group (company), my preference would be to use the legal name (Vector Group Ltd.) but that is debatable. If you feel the issue isn't wikilinks, then to me it is a none issue. Any confusion is to the reader is already addressed by Template:about at the top of the page.--Svgalbertian (talk) 00:57, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

You fail to realize you can't have part of that sentence say "of the series" and not add it again for Eggman as the antagonist for the game the article is about is DIFFERENT. So your complaints and threats don't make sense. The current sentence is not supposed to be formed that way and brings confusion. TheRealAfroMan (talk) 23:32, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

- Also in response to you (Mr. Gonna Change My Name Forever), you clearly are one of the slowest people I have ever met. I didn't blame him for anything go back to school kid, you clearly dropped out (or your head.) TheRealAfroMan (talk) 00:38, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

Debate about Impossible Mission article.

You're in luck Mr. Gonna Change My Name Forever, the other report is now over. Can you make new one for JakIIDax and Red Ant please? 91.184.0.80 (talk) 20:16, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
JakIIDax and Red Ant are already mentioned in that SPI report, but it's possible a new one can be made. }IMr*|(60nna)I{ 20:34, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
Mr. Gonna Change My Name Forever they need to be on a list to be looked at. Just mentioning them will not do anything. 91.184.0.80 (talk) 20:40, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
Look here. }IMr*|(60nna)I{ 20:45, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
Mr. Gonna Change My Name Forever, I don't think you are allowed to add names to an existing report. You have to make a new one. Here's the link. 91.184.0.80 (talk) 20:48, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
- Not sure if that's true or not, but either way, they check user'd all of them, and they're all socks, so I'm blocking them all. No need for further action until other socks pop up. Sergecross73 msg me 00:33, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
Discussion at Video Games WikiProject
Greetings. I have noticed you are very active in the Wikiproject Video Games. I would like to invite you to give your input in a discussion I recently opened there. Rilech (talk) 22:26, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
- Sure, no problem. Sergecross73 msg me 23:09, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
My userpage
Uh... thanks for the gratitude there. Anyway, that reminded me of something: Do you mind that I mention you on my userpage? Does it portray you in a negative light? I can change or remove it if you'd like. Tezero (talk) 17:03, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
- Haha, Tezero, the "thanking" was actually meant as a way of showing that I approved of you mentioning me. I guess I should have just said it. It was probably confusing - Salvidrim commonly thanks me for my userpage updates sometimes and it always makes me laugh because it feels like he's (jokingly) patronizing me, but I didn't meant that for you. But yeah, no problem with the mention, I'm glad you found it worth mentioning even really. And I do respect you as a user too, I do apologize that we do seem to commonly find each other on the opposite side of arguments. Sergecross73 msg me 17:18, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
What's going on?
I still don't understand. Those accounts were Blocked hours after I joined. Can I get my account back? You can do a check on me too I don't care, but I would appreciate my account being unblocked. Potatoechipdeluxe (talk) 22:34, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, but:
- You appeared minutes after they were all identified as socks.
- You showed up at the same pages they had, asking the same sort of questions (poor selling Sega consoles, Asteroids)
- You also made sloppy additions to the opening sentences of any article, another thing Jak did.
- Any last words before I block you again, Jak? Sergecross73 msg me 22:45, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
- Jak (as Potatoechipdeluxe) just blamed you (Sergecross73) for what Jak did: Create sockpuppets minutes after one of his is blocked, have the same conflicts with the same editors over the same articles, and make poor, disruptive edits to them. "3." claims that both you and Jak "made sloppy additions" to articles like Army of Two: The 40th Day. See any more Jak sockpuppets?
}IMr*|(60nna)I{01:22, 15 April 2014 (UTC)- Yeah, a bunch of "potato" themed accounts are complaining about me at ANI, but now they're just getting blocked by other admin too. Sergecross73 msg me 01:30, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Regarding the proposed mass edit to Video Game related articles
At what point is it okay to go ahead and add numbers of reviews to articles? Rilech (talk) 14:51, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
A couple of editors have gone ahead and begun on the basis of the mass support for the edit, I am assuming, so I'm going to go for it. Rilech (talk) 14:58, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- Rilech, I'd say go for it whenever now. It seems like people overwhelmingly agree with you, unless I've missed something recently. Sergecross73 msg me 15:01, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
Mario Kart 8
I'm think Mario Kart 8 should be protected again, at least until June. IPs have been mostly adding unsourced content, like lists of characters. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 23:42, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- Agreed. Done. (Through release and E3.) Sergecross73 msg me 01:06, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Quick Question
Hey again. I have a question: In the reception boxes of these two articles, when I typed in the number of reviews, on one the text didn't wrap, and on the other it did. How do I make the number of reviews text stop wrapping on the first article?
Thanks! Rilech (talk) 20:54, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
- I apologize, I'm no expert here. The only thing I can offer is that I know people sometimes use the {{nowrap|insert text here}} formatting to keep wrapping from happening. Even then, I've only seen others use it, as I've never really had any scenarios where I needed to do it. Sorry if that doesn't help... Sergecross73 msg me 14:47, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
Sonic the Hedgehog 4
That "junk" as you refer to it is the kind of thing that disambigs are for. Sonic Triple Trouble for example is the third sequel to the Game Gear game Sonic the Hedgehog, so it can be referred to as Sonic the Hedgehog 4. See past disambigs like Batman 2 for precedent. SNS (talk) 03:50, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
- No one has thought of games like STT as a potential Sonic 4 for decades, if they ever did at all. Unless you've got sources that show it was ever confused with such a title, it creates more questions than it answers for the reader. It also doesn't adhere to WP:DABRELATED. Sergecross73 msg me 11:04, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
- It has nothing to do with things being mistaken for other things. That text in the disambig should have never described it that way. If a video game, movie, etc. gets a sequel with a different title or without a number, then adding the number to the original title is an acceptable redirect (for example Shrek 3 as a redirect to Shrek the Third). That is agreed on, correct? But if there is more then one target, that is where the concept of disambigs comes in. Most of those examples either were fourth installments or could be considered fourth installments to video games that were called "Sonic the Hedgehog" so they themselves could be called "Sonic the Hedgehog 4". SNS (talk) 03:21, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
- The relationship between "three" and "third" is far more direct than "four" and "triple trouble", which is where your analogies fall apart. Also, you still haven't reconciled your argument with DABRELATED. To adhere with that, you need related content in the respective articles, and to do that, you'd need sources. Without that, your examples don't hold weight because the situation at hand isn't adhering to guidelines. Sergecross73 msg me 03:36, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
- So to be clear, all those other disambigs that aren't referenced in the articles themselves are going against the guidelines? Just want to be sure in case I ever make a new disambig on something in the future. SNS (talk) 04:27, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
- Well, DABRELATED says that anything on a DAB page needs to be mentioned in the respective article that is being directed to, and Wikipedia policy says that all information should be sourced, so when you piece it together, yes. I'm not sure how well its typically enforced, I mean, I personally only learned about this in the last few months, and I've been here 5+ years, but at the same time, like most things on Wikipedia, it really comes down to what is being challenged, and in this example, I truly question whether any of those Sonic titles were ever actively referred to as a Sonic 4, so they BURDEN is on your to prove me wrong, if you're pursuing changing my edits. Sergecross73 msg me 23:08, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
- For the record, I've read old Sonic magazine coverage pretty extensively, and the only game I distinctly remember being referred to as Sonic 4 is Sonic & Knuckles. Tezero (talk) 17:43, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
- Same here. But even then, considering it's been 2 decades since the game had been referred to as that, I don't think it's really very helpful/practical to list. Who would it be for? That one guy who heard about a Sonic 4 for Genesis 20 years ago, and hadn't decided to look into further until now? Sergecross73 msg me 17:53, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
