- Help! I want to make an edit but Clue Bot NG says something !
- I was adding some sample phrases for Awadhi language — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sattvic7 (talk • contribs) 16:17, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
- I see that you managed to add the examples again, successfully.
- In my opinion, the table format that you used originally was useful. You might consider reinstating it. The English translation row could stretch across all the columns, using rowspan="3". See WP:TABLE for relevant help pages. – Fayenatic London 13:25, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Ramacharitmanas.jpeg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Ramacharitmanas.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hindustani language
[edit]Hello and Namaste, dear Sattvic7, i am Dheeraj789, you reverted the page Hindustani language, but it was sourced for me, because it was representative for the history of Hindustani language.
Re:Your edit on Hindustani language
[edit]Dear User:Sattvic7, I have restored the phrase regarding usage of the term in a modern context as you requested. I should note that today, the main way that linguists use the term is to refer to the lingua franca of the northern Indian subcontinent that has two standardized registers, Hindi and Urdu (see this article). I hope this helps. With regards, AnupamTalk 18:06, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

India-related articles and Indicscript
[edit]Please take a few minutes to read over WP:INDICSCRIPT. In general, on India related articles, don't use indic script in the article lead or infobox. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 21:00, 11 March 2020 (UTC)

Hindustani language
[edit]Hello User:Sattvic7, I hope you are doing well. I noticed that you removed scripts from the lede of the Hindustani language article. Note that WP:MOSIS states: Exceptions are articles on the script itself, articles on a language that uses the script, and articles on texts originally written in a particular script. As such, I am going to ask you to kindly revert your edits. If you are unable to do so, I can do that for you. I hope this helps. With regards, AnupamTalk 11:19, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
Your edit at Kayastha page.
[edit]You mentioned overkill in your edit summary. Why? Shitush (talk) 16:27, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- You can ignore the above blocked contributor. However, I have reverted you at that article because the issue I raised originally, and which you overturned, was one of WP:OVERCITE, amongst other things. I suppose overciting is a form of overkill but I'm just clarifying.
- If you read the section about Varna status, you will see that the core point is already in the article anyway. It really isn't a good idea to have that sort of thing scattered throughout an article because it is very frequently contentious. - Sitush (talk) 07:45, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
- Citations were of verifiable historical mentions. (Redacted) removed personal attack by impersonating account. Abecedare (talk) 14:45, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
See this for dispute resolution. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Neutral_point_of_view/Noticeboard#Massive_citations_deletion_on_Kayastha_page
- MY REPLY STARTS HERE: @Sitush: You had earlier removed (find the edit here : https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Kayastha&diff=952116428&oldid=952115854&diffmode=source) an important part of the article stating the following: "start again, please - always suspicious when someone has to compound a large number of sources to make a simple point, and those srcs do not appear to be claiming "many" did but rather "a few" did."
- I had through immense research put those sources and information there to bring to forefront some neutral historical facts. I thought may be you have a problem with WP:OVERCITE or having too many sources. Thus, I removed some sources to satisfy you. Seems that you still have problem. Can you elaborate what exact suspicion do you have with this particular edit except that they are absolutely reliable and relevant? Have you even gone through sources to make a claim of suspicion? I'd rather recommend having discussion/talk on WP article before making controversial reverts. Kindly don't engage in vandalism and useless edit wars! Sattvic7 (talk) 12:00, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Devonian Wombat (talk) 06:27, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Edit Warring on Chitraguptavanshi Kayastha
[edit]Dear Sattvic, I can understand your concern and where you are coming from. However, kindly refrain from edit warring. I hope you understand as well what I am trying to point out here. I request you to use the talk page available instead of undoing the edits directly. In the end, I will have no option other than complaining about it to the administrators and bringing about extended protection for the page. I beg you once again.
I see, you have used a reference as to someone from Vallabh (Gujarat) belonging to Kshatriyahood. Is that North India? Of course, not. In such a situation, your intentions are clear. I beg you to stop maligning the status. Ayushsinha2222 (talk) 17:57, 28 February 2021 (UTC).
- @Ayushsinha2222: Hi, Ayush, I hope you are aware of the fact that the pages Bengali Kayastha and Kayastha already exist where you could've easily posted your content (which was related to Bengali Kayastha. It is common knowledge that this page Chitraguptavanshi Kayastha was created to focus on North Indian Kayasthas. So it must be the responsibility of editors to not load the page with content that is
notovertly about other Kayastha groups. Of course, it is acceptable to give a passing reference to to other groups or information provided (as you have pointed out in the case of Vallabh Kayastha) provided it is very brief and concise. I am a Chitraguptavanshi Kayastha myself and have contributed immensely to this page through proper research. I suggest you to put your content on Bengali Kayastha or Kayastha. Have a good day. Sattvic7 (talk) 18:24, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Sattvic7: Dear Sattvic, I am extremely sorry for having done that. I am so grateful to you for all that you have done for this page. It's just because of you that this page is so informational now. I acknowledge your priceless contribution. At the same time, I am delighted to have come across you as well. Please carry on; in view of your suggestions, I have removed the content now, except for a couple of sentences. You can remove them as well if you think them inappropriate.
Once again, my sweet friend, I thank you so much for all that you have done. Lots of love! Take care of yourself.

- @Ayushsinha2222: Great. Sattvic7 (talk) 08:46, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
Dear Sir, @Sattvic7, is it possible to get this page extended protection in the future if it's subject to incessant vandalisms? It seems people more interested in caste-glorification than in unbiased facts have come up with new accounts. One of them removed a small part of the content as well.
I hope you are well over there. I am enlivened by your work. My words to fail to describe how grateful I am to you. I thank you so much for all your hard work. Take care of yourself.

Disambiguation link notification for March 1
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Chitraguptavanshi Kayastha, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mughal war of succession. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Oxford university reference
[edit]We have added reference from oxford university. Feedback invited. Kayastha Shiromany (talk) 15:31, 3 March 2021 (UTC) Blocked for sockpuppetry. Heba Aisha (talk) 06:43, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Kayastha Shiromany: Hey, thanks for your edit and pardon for my late reply. I think that content related to varna status of Chitraguptavanshi Kayastha deserves a separate section in itself (and I have planned to create the section discussing this controversial issue for sometime). In that case, your content would be more suited under "varna-status" section. If you consent, I'd move your edit to the varna-status section on Chitraguptavanshi Kayastha at a later stage of development of this article OR you can create that section yourself if you are confident enough. Have a god day Sattvic7 (talk) 05:17, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Kayastha Shiromany: Hi, I have recently removed some content that seems to be talking about CKPs (Kayasthas of Maharashtra) in particular. We want this article to be relevant only to North Indian Kayasthas i.e excluding CKPs and Bengali Kayasthas as there are separate pages dedicated to both of them. Sattvic7 (talk) 16:07, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
Dear Sir, it seems we need extended protection for the page.
Ayushsinha2222 (talk) 20:40, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Be very very cautious
[edit]You are treading on thin ice. Go on with your copying history from sources. Dont stir touchy subjects. Ninja Roti (talk) 14:05, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- I am myself a Chitraguptavanshi Kayastha and cautious with my sources, do you have a PhD to be cautious with yours? or anything to say that satisfies the WP:RS? If you disagree with any piece of source or information then you should discuss that on the Talk:Chitraguptavanshi Kayastha instead of trying to intimidate me or consistently trying delete WP:RS cited in the article. I have access to JSTOR, Project MUSE and what not, plus I know I have seen enough of red-link users like you, they get banned every now and then for foolishly reverting sourced pieces of information without prior discussion. Sattvic7 (talk) 15:06, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- Kindly take a look at Talk:Chitraguptavanshi Kayastha#Chitraguptavanshi Kayasthas consider themselves a separate varna. Sattvic7 (talk) 15:41, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
You are not a Kayastha, that I am sure of. I have gone through your edit history. Traitors like you are a two penny a piece on wikipedia hiding behind false pretences. I have seen what you and your friends have done on Bengali Kayastha and Kulin Kayastha. You and your cheap buddies are a disgrace. You are only inviting trouble. Ninja Roti (talk) 15:58, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- I have not even touched the pages Bengali Kayastha and Kulin Kayastha, but those who are cleverly plotting against Kayastha mus've edited those pages. Most of my edits are on Awadhi language, the article I created Barahmasa and now this. I was the first man on entire WP to bring to notice that Kayasthas are mentioned in the inscriptions of Kushan Empire. Otherwise, some Brahmins had already had upped their propaganda that how Kayastha came out of Mughal officials despite the fact that Kayastha history dates back to Kushan and Gupta Era. As I cannot be everywhere at any given time, for some days I'll be focusing onChitraguptavanshi Kayastha. I'm currently trying to collect reliable info on British era history of Chitragupta Kayastha. After that I'll shift to Kayastha adn improve other articles too. All I can say that, Kayastha history is more glorious than Rajputs or Brahmins. Sattvic7 (talk) 16:29, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
I knew that you were not a Kayastha and now I know that you are one of those Brahmin hating conmen. That explains your actions. Keep your sob sister story for some dimwit. You have a dozen of sockpuppet account and Ayushsinha2222 is one of them which just reverted my edits. I live in Noida and I dare you to meet me. If you are a Kayastha like you say you are, you will benefit from the meeting. But I know that all your pretences will be exposed. Ninja Roti (talk) 17:33, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- Brahmin hating conmen? Sorry, if I hurt your sentiment but I don't hate anyone including the Brahmins. They are great people and contributed immensely to the Indian history. But before making these allegations against me, have you tried to read a few books on the Kayasthas? I don't write random things. I just cite things that scholars, historians and others researchers have already published in reputed journals, books and articles in accordance with Wikipedia's guidelines.. I suggest you to read the following books, (if you want to know about Kayasthas)
- - Romila Thapar's -- Past Before Us (2013)
- - Chitrarekha Gupta's -- The writer's class of ancient India (1983)
- - Meera Vishwanathan's -- From "Lekhaka" to "Kayastha" (2014)
- - Formation of Colonial State in India -- Hayden Bellenoit (2017)
- - Hindustani Kayasthas -- by Lucy Caroll Stout.(1976)
- - Kayasthas of Hyderabad -- by Karen Leonard. (1994)
- Nothing more to say! Sigh! Have a good day. Better to stay indoors in this pandemic Take care. Sattvic7 (talk) 18:57, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- And yeah I am a Kayastha from a well-to-do family. There's nothing that can take away this fact. It's for this love of my community that I have researched nigh and day into origins of my community. If you think I am wrong in some places, feel free to discuss it. I am an open minded person. I would have loved to meet you but I live too far away from Noida Sattvic7 (talk) 19:01, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Sattvic7! Your additions to Chitraguptavanshi Kayastha have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 17:01, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
