- @134.41.211.109: G'day mate, please see WP:NACTOR and WP:DIRECTOR for a list of the notability requirements you'd need to reach. It is not recommended that you create articles about yourself as you're a lot more open to conflicts of interest. Additionally, personal contact between edittors and subjects cannot be used as a reliable source as Wikipedia doesn't allow origional research. All reporting needs to come through in the forms of reviews, or news articles for example. Please let me know if you have any further questions — IVORK Discuss 02:44, 10 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi, IVORK, you recently restored information that I had taken down from the live Deinococcus marmoris Wikipedia page. I took down this information because it was not supposed to be added to the live page yet. I was still working with it in my sandbox, and I am not ready for it to be on the live page yet. Thank you so much for keeping an eye on the page, but I will add the information back when it has been revised and checked for any errors! --Eliseduhon (talk) 01:58, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
Greetings! I've moved Deinococcus marmoris back to main space, since the article had existed since 2014, long before this current science class assignment. The students can work on a new version in user space, but I don't see a reason to remove the article from the main encyclopedia for their project. —C.Fred (talk) 02:06, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
- Ah yes, big oops there, I had missed it wasn't origionally their article, cheers — IVORK Discuss 02:08, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
A7 on Lena Atti
Hi IVORK -- I've declined this speedy request as having a work in a permanent museum collection is a sufficient claim. I think Atti is probably notable and there seem to be available detailed sources to expand the article. Please be doubly careful not to discourage good-faith new contributors of articles on underrepresented areas such as native crafts. Cheers, Espresso Addict (talk) 02:58, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
User:Atomicdragon136 edits to HowToBasic
You reverted the user here. I wanted to alert you to the fact that the edit you reverted was hihgly problematic and the user's edits are suspect. It is the second time they have made the edit. The edit removed a vast amount of sources and improvments to the article, such as removals of OR. In the initial edit, they did all this without an edit summary. The edit you reverted, gave a partially misleading edit summary ("Addition of birth name") as you can see. R9tgokunks ✡ 07:45, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
- No dramas R9tgokunks, the page isn't too far away from needing protection placed on it. It should die down with time else we'll go that route. I'm not an admin if that's what you were thinking — IVORK Discuss 09:48, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
Hello
I noticed that you have requested my article be deleted
I believe this article is worth including, and I intended to expand it greatly over the coming days and weeks, when I have time to do so, as I mentioned in the edit summary. Please allow me to do this. The topic forms an important part of my PhD research and I thought it was an obvious omission from Wikipedia, that I would be well placed to add to gradually. Please could you let me know how many words do I need to include in what time frame before it is no longer eligible for deletion? — Preceding unsigned comment added by BubbleEngineer (talk • contribs) 23:53, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
- G'day BubbleEngineer, so long as you plan on expanding the article past just a definition, it's fine. I've removed the WP:PROD for now. You're obviously much more knowledgable in the subject than I am, I would recommend adding things such as related formulars and/or applications of use. The request was only for it's current form as it appeared to purely be a WP:DICTIONARY definition, rather than an encylopedic entry. Perhaps look at pages such as Minnaert resonance or the Bubble_(physics)#Pulsation section for an idea. Thanks — IVORK Discuss 01:15, 13 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Alan Moore (Russian athlete), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Capital FM (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi, You rejected the article:
Can you explain why:
How about the following articles:

What is the difference? In particularly the article re Catherine Roberts? All of these people are my close colleagues.

- G'day StevenBenjaminDamelin, I had not declined the article, just the entry you had submitted for review in your sandbox as a test as all it stated was:
This is a wikipedia page regarding the mathematician and scientist Steven Benjamin Damelin. As with most mathematicians who have verifiable articles re them this is a true and verifiable article with references and proofs for everything stated.StevenBenjaminDamelin (talk) 10:54 am, Yesterday (UTC+9.5)
- The actual article still exists at Draft:Steven Benjamin Damelin and is still pending review. I had removed the content from your userpage and redirected it to there as Wikipedia tends to not like articles on User pages. I would also recommend giving WP:COI a read, as it is generally discouraged to create articles about yourself and/or people you personally are connected to as you may be subject to a conflict of interest in omitting negative detail, whereas encyclopedic entries need to be purely factual, I will tag the draft with a Template:Connected contributor tag. I will review and fixup the article now — IVORK Discuss 22:33, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
Hi Thanks for your note. I understand. That sentence was not meant to be there---it was meant for the Wikipedia editor. Sorry about that. Thanks for editing the article now. Appreciated. StevenBenjaminDamelin (talk) 23:06, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
@StevenBenjaminDamelin: The article has been accepted, the only points I feel are worth mentioning is that while Wikipedia distinguishes between differently capitalized URLs, it does not for the first letter so there is no need to write Electron configurations over electron configurations. I had removed a bunch of those apart from where they're clearly proper nouns, and additionally had removed a bunch of links to terms that don't exist within Wikipedia such as group invariant kernels where you had linked each word individually. If such as term does exist somewhere under a different title or section, you can always link it back again using [[correctpage#sectionoftopic|textyouwantdisplayed]]. — IVORK Discuss 23:52, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

When is a redirect not a redirect?
When you revert my redirect. What is the point of making and then assessing a talk page with old spelling for an article that was moved to a different spelling? The old talk page should automatically be a redirect to the new spelling. So now what do you expect people to do who arrive on this talk page? Go the the main article, which does redirect to the new spelling, and then choose the new spelling talk page from there. What a waste of time and effort. According to the page history, you even created the bad spelling talk page that goes nowhere freshly. It's not a redirect as it stands with no link to the correct page and my edit fixed that. You just made it an orphan assessed page again. At the very least it should be a {{soft redirect}} but as it has no content a plain redirect is correct. As an editor who has assessed many Irish articles, the Ireland Project certainly finds this useless as it stands. I recommend you reconsider your actions in the instance. ww2censor (talk) 18:27, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
- G'day @Ww2censor: per my revert notice, when creating redirects via the WP:AFC/R proccess which I do from time to time, it is customary there to leave atleast {{WPAFC|class=redirect|ts=|reviewer=IVORK}} in place on the talk page. Redirects exist in order to correct spelling or alternative names people may search in trying to find a subject. I find it is extremely unlikely that they would not only mistype, but also accidentally start with Talk: hence, I do not expect people to land on the talk page without intention. And again, per Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation/Redirects/Reviewing_instructions#Accepting_a_redirect_request, we are asked to
Add any other applicable WikiProject banners and save the

when creating new redirects, I was mearly following this logic. — IVORK Discuss 22:48, 16 April 2018 (UTC)- @Ww2censor: Redirects are still part of Wikipedia's content; individually, they may not be much but collectively they add up to a lot of information. It seems to me it is useful to WikiProjects to have redirects tagged and listed so they can assist with redirect tagging within their own subject matters, see trends and other data, spot patterns that may assist in the creation of more redirects, or even discover redirects that can be converted into articles on the subjects the WikiProject specialises in. Request on 06:16:27, 26 April 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by Raywalk
So 100.000 users is not notable enough? 50 stars on github is not enough either? :(
Can you give me a hint as to what would be notable enough? -- Raywalk (talk) 06:16, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
- G'day Raywalk, per Wikipedia:Notability (software)#Inclusion, a piece of software needs to meet one or more of the following criteria:
# It is discussed in reliable sources as significant in its particular field. References that cite trivia do not fulfill this requirement. See following section for more information.
- It is the subject of instruction at multiple grade schools, high schools, universities or post-graduate programs. This criterion does not apply to software merely used in instruction.
- It is the subject of multiple printed third-party manuals, instruction books, or reliable reviews,[2] written by independent authors and published by independent publishers.
- It has been recognized as having historical or technical significance by reliable sources. However, the mere existence of reviews does not mean the app is notable. Reviews must be significant, from a reliable source, or assert notability
- The bottom line there being that there needs to be independant sources that have written reviews on the product such as PC magazines / internet news articles etc. After searching for the term, I could not find it assides from the Github link. A mere twitter example is not adequate to entitle it to it's own Wikipedia article — IVORK Discuss 23:31, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
About the deletion of my article
Hi, you want to delete this article: "List of Nintendo 64 GameShark versions" . This article is part of 2 other articles and those other 2 won't be correct anymore if this gets deleted. I even linked those 2 articles in the the wiki. Please leave the wiki, it took very long to find all release dates -- 22:41, 26 April 2018 User:InterActiveMania (talk | contribs)
- G'day InterActiveMania, even though you have been blocked for sock puppetting, I will respond anyway. The information does not appear to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria, and as I linked on the article, per WP:NOT, Wikipedia is not for compiling exhaustive lists of every patch a game goes through as it holds little encyclopedic content unless it is tied to specific features. I would recommend going to somewhere like the Nintendo Wikia to include information like this, as they have a much more targetted approach than Wikipedia — IVORK Discuss 23:36, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
Propionispira raffinosivorans technical move request
Hey IVORK, I was originally trying to move the page to Articles for creation, but I wasn't able to move it again once it was in draft and I couldn't undo that movement either. So my technical request was more so to try and recover some functionality and move the page from my personal sandbox to the necessary location for its assessment and creation. Ever since my original movement of the page from my sandbox, I haven't been able to correctly redirect it to the draft and then articles of creation, and every time i try it tells me that I don't have the permission. Sorry I'm causing you a headache, I was attempting to get the page where it needed to be, but ended up befuddling things even more. Thanks for the help with external and internal sources by the way, I tried to find related articles to link to the page but couldn't find anything relevant. -- 16:02, 26 April 2018 User:Willrd1227
- G'day Willrd1227, in order to put a draft up for WP:AfC review, all you need to do is paste a {{subst:AFC submission/draftnew}} template on it and hit submit on the resulting button (assuming it's already in the Draftspace or your sandbox). However as I was saying, I am an AFC Reviewer, and the article is up to scratch by my read through it. Unless it's some requirement for your student editor class etc, I don't really see the need to move it back. Especially because our backlog is up to 2 months atm. However if you really need/want it moved back into the Draftspace it can be — IVORK Discuss 23:22, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
- Awesome, thank you for the info and the help IVORK. I think the page is great where it is.-- 26 April 2018 User:Willrd1227 —Preceding undated comment added 20:11, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
Hello!
While I understand the concerns that the article is perhaps created too soon as the movie "Best Sheep" is not out yet, this is a person who has been steadily gaining a lot of press in his home region as well as working with a variety of large companies, as well as working with multiple established actors and producers in Hollywood on the TV Pilot "WannabeZ". Naturally, if reviewing using the context of notability within the US industry, it would be too soon. But I disagree context wise with regards to the Norwegian industry as multiple directors/writers/actors from Norway have articles on Wikipedia with less credits and notability.
Let me know if sourcing more references would change your opinion.
Hope you're having a great day!
Greg.
Gregor101z (talk) 21:56, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
- G'day Gregor101z, I tagged the article as he doesn't appear to pass the notability requirements of WP:NDIRECTOR as they state that one of the following criteria must be met for inclusion within Wikipedia:
#The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors.
- The person is known for originating a significant new concept, theory, or technique.
- The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the primary subject of an independent and notable work (for example, a book, film, or television series, but usually not a single episode of a television series) or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews.
- The person's work (or works) either (a) has become a significant monument, (b) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) has won significant critical attention, or (d) is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums.
- His work within a single channel of the P4 Radio Hele Norge station, doesn't appear to deem him notable enough for inclusion at this stage either. However, it is your right to remove the deletion notice, and then we can take it to a Article for Deletion page where other reviewers can try form a consensus for the page. If you can include more sources that prove his notability by satisfying any of the criteria above, please do. — IVORK Discuss 23:51, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
Whilst understanding the reasoning, I want to draw attention to a couple of other articles concerning directors with even, or lesser, experience / detailed articles / noted works.
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/David_Berget (One short film as notable credit, not even referencing IMDb on site.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Line_Halvorsen (No notable productions according to Wikis terms. Short article. One of the things the article states she is notable for is the "behind the scenes" featurette of a TV show in 2000.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Camilla_Stroem_Henriksen (Noted for TV without much sourcing. Should rather be listed as an actress, if anything, as that's where her notability is due to being nominated for Actress awards.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Cato_Manuel_Ekrene (No titles of notability. Short article. Speculation in future, clearly not updated since 2014 as "Run" never happened as planned - turned into a short with no distribution.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Hanne_Myren (Also only one notable title that allows listing in this category. Very short page.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Ingeranna_Krohn-Nydal (Only one semi-notable title, short page.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Geir_Ove_Kvalheim (Not even a director. At most, a journalist or an extra in films.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Cecilie_Mosli (Should, if anything, be listed as an actor. Wiki apparently states that directing single episodes do not qualify for inclusion, so would assume this applies here.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Hisham_Zaman (Not arguing against this one, per se, as since it was made he has made "Letters to the King". Just saying that it should be updated and expande, and using it as a point of contetion as this clearly got made before Hisham Zaman was notable per the definitions used against this article.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Hallvar_Witz%C3%B8 (Noted for a short film whose nomination was pulled for an Academy Award, since made one short and directed reality TV.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Morten_Skallerud (Made a few shorts, one won one award.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/%C3%98yvind_Sandberg (TV Documentaries and one short.)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/David_Reiss-Andersen (Has one upcoming film, otherwise not a notable director per Wiki. Notable Ad Agency owner, though.)
Now, these pages, in my opinion, fall under the same issues as raised against this page. All things being equal, as these pages have been approved, as should this one. Either that, or the pages listed should be updated/removed following the precedent these articles have set for inclusion. I have no quarrel with either alternative, but removal of this article without updates/changes/removal of the aforementioned articles, I do have an issue with, as their inclusion on Wiki has set a precedent for article inclusion under the Norwegian Director category.

Luhansk Republic
Hi Ivork,
You reverted the page move I made on Luhansk Peoples Republic[1] after at technical move request. This revert wasn't uncontroversial and should have been discussed. The title of the article was changed in-text (i.e. the first bold-faced mention in-text) by another editor, Axxxion, some six weeks prior[2]. There were no objections to this change on the talk page, so I felt it was natural to follow up by moving the page. The user who complained, Iryna Harpy, reverted Axxxion's edit and a bunch of other edits that I made[3], and then left a threatening message on my talk page. I don't know if she has the authority to make threats like that, but it certainly makes editing Wikipedia an uncomfortable experience. The way you responded to her message on my talk page make it appear as if you support it. I hope you could elaborate on that, and the best thing would actually be if we could discuss the proper title for the article on the talk page. Thanks, Heptor talk 10:48, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- G'day Heptor, the long and short of it is that a proposal to rename the article did take place here, which passed to rename it to it's current name. When I saw the WP:RM/TR request I did check this and Googled the same as in the move request and came up with the same results being overwhelmingly in favour of it's now current name. Sure there is conversation after the official move request, but no clear consensus was formed. As I stated on your talk page, you are welcome to open up a new move request to see if you can form a consensus to have it moved back. As a general rule, if a consensus has been made, no less than another consensus can over-rule it. Any RfC attracts additional attention, more so than what a couple of edit by a user would. I believe this is what Iryna Harpy's template was about. While it does seem abrupt that she used a final warning template, this was per the guideline for placing warning as it escalated based on the previous two warnings you already had in April. She is just a user, she does have some 41,000 edits, so an experienced one at that, but she can't ban / block you. That decision would have to come from an admin, so if your actions truly are in good faith which they appear to be, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
- I personally just monitor edit requests, WP:RM/TR, WP:AFC and new pages, I'm not an expert in the Luhansk Republic so past the WP:RM history, don't have much expertise to add to the subject. Being that the RM was so long ago, as I stated on your talk page, you're more than welcome to start another move request. Just don't move it yourself without gaining consensus first. Let me know if you have any further questions — IVORK Discuss 12:45, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- Many thanks for a prompt and thorough response! I edit in controvesial topics, including Luhansk People's Republic, Osteopathy, Illegal Immigration, Homeopathy and Tiananmen Square. Unfortunately the tone isn't always the most civic, and sometimes the content disputes spill over to my talk page. About the other two warnings on my talk page that you mention, I made two separate edits to RF_resonant_cavity_thruster: [4][5]. After that I started a discussion on the talk page of the article, which is still ongoing. I don't think this is particularly unreasonable, but I got all kinds of unpleasant messages on my talk page regardless.
- I am aware of the previous vote; as you mention, things happened since then. The official name by which LPR wishes to call itself is now known, as is stated by Axxion in his edit. Google results return about 50/50 on each version of the name, although things are not quite straight-forward. Apparently a new vote is needed, but since Axxxion's edit was left in peace for so long I thought maybe the page move could be accepted as well.
- I am worried that these warnings might stick, especially when seemingly supported by an uninvolved editor with special editing privileges. I would greatly appreciate if you could leave a comment on my talk page. Heptor talk 22:10, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
Hi IVORK,
In line citations to awards for William A. McNamara have been made, per your request. Did you remove the photos that had been uploaded to that draft page?
If so please let me know why.
Thank you.
--Ideachick (talk) 02:39, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
- G'day, Ideachick, the added citations appear to be up to scratch, so thanks for that. However be aware, that Wikipedia cannot use itself or any other WP:SELFSOURCED pages as a source as any user can input data without verification. I would instead look to what that Wikipedia article used as a reference.
- I was not the one to delete the images, they were first removed on Wikimedia Commons by an admin as they did not have their copyright status correctly written for a period of time, after which, a bot automatically removed them from your draft as they had been deleted. For more info on sourcing images correctly you can look at pages such as c:COM:OTRS or WP:ICT, hope it helps — IVORK Discuss 03:36, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
Hainesport NJ geography section Adding additional neighborhoods in this article and trying to have Union Mill deleted.
Ivork, All I am trying to do is up date information in the geography section of Hainesport NJ. Presently it is incorrect the article does not include the most up to date information on the number of neighborhoods in our town.
It even includes a fiction neighborhood . It is very difficult for me to make this correction . I verified it through the Hainesport School system, the Superintedent office . I left Hainesport Townships School's phone number. I even have their Email address. Also I lived her all my life.Cite error: There are <ref>

- G'day Purc311, yes, but the template you submitted was through the articles for creation process, which is generally used for submitting entirely new articles for review. If you wish to edit the main article, you can do so via the link here Hainesport Township, New Jersey. However do be aware that Wikipedia does require independant referencing, and purely living somewhere and knowing it to be true is verification for your sake, but the rest of us can't be guarenteed you aren't just making that up. Additionally specific information such as phone numbers and email addresses don't add anything encyclopedic to articles so are almost always left out. As mentioned, you can edit the article with your current user permissions to correct inaccuracies via the link above. - Per my user page, 5 years, 7 months and 6 days. I generally patrol different pages as linked in my sandbox be it recent likely valdalism edits, my 1300 article watchlist, new pages, edit request, articles for creation (such as yours) or move requests. If I've run out of stuff after that I generally just follow links off the mainpage to edit. You look like you've already found the TeaHouse so can get all your questions answered there. Else I would recommend adding subjects you personally have expertise in to your watchlist, such as places, TV shows etc. Just remember you still need to reference reliable sources when making new additions to articles even if you've lived the city the articles about your entire life for example, hope it helps! — IVORK Discuss 16:28, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
- Additionally, you can just click [edit] at the top of sections to respond there instead of creating a new section each time. And indent your line with a colon : one more than the previous editor to break up the responses. Cheers Vaporwaveman34 — IVORK Discuss 16:31, 4 May 2018 (UTC)

We are getting the photographers' names for all images. I didn't see your note until I had already re-uploaded the pics. You are right. They are not ready for publication. You can delete them again if you want, and I'll upload again when I have the correct credits. Sorry for the mix-up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frankieweb (talk • contribs) 21:56, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
- G'day Frankieweb, I merely denied your AfC submission as it was just a sandbox version of your draft version whereas the draft seemed more completed. The image copyvio issues were auto-generated messages from MifterBot (who is a bot). Once the images have copyright status details added, they're fine to stay up — IVORK Discuss 22:33, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
21:45:47, 7 May 2018 review of submission by Nicola Caione
Dear IVORK, I've added few more external references to the TIPS wiki page, I hope they meet Wikipedia standards. They came from International business Times, Financial Times and Business Insider press releases.
Let me spend fwr words about the page I would submit: it is related to a system that is going to be launched by the European Central Bank(ECB), and therefore many sources come from his website (which is a independent and reliable public source).
This new payment system is closely related to T2S and TARGET2. These two platforms are part of the ECB application portfolio (like ZELLE in the US and [IMPS]] in India). T2 and T2S (and TIPS in the neaar future) are really important because they manage a daily average of 2.477.000.000€ in cash transaction. This is the reason why I would add a wiki page about this system.
Thank for your help and suggestions. --Nicola Caione (talk) 21:45, 7 May 2018 (UTC)

Thank You Damidez12 (talk) 22:50, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
- G'day Damidez12, per my decline reason, Wikipedia is not for social networking. All entries need to be reliably sourced from independent media sources or equivalents to show that they are notable. For this reason, per WP:COI, you are discouraged from creating articles about yourself. While Wikipedia does want to add as much as it can to the sphere of information it covers, not every single one of the 7+billion people on earth are entitled to an article.
- However for your edits to Davido you will have to talk to Chrissymad as she is the one that gave you the warning notice. She has been tagged and will hopefully respond here. — IVORK Discuss 23:50, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi Ivork,
Thanks for taking the time to review my submission! I was just wondering if there's anything concrete I can fix in order to have my page accepted. We are a reputable sound effects company in a pretty niche industry. Let me know if you have any tips for fixing the page for it to be accepted. A page we are referencing that is similar to our business is: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Sounddogs
Thanks! -Jamie Bishop
Jamielbishop94 (talk) 18:10, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
- G'day Jamielbishop94, Sounddogs is notable due to all the awards it has won and notable movies it has contributed to. Per WP:NCORP, certain notability requirements need to be met in order to qualify for inclusion into Wikipedia. If you can try include more references to any awards / notable works / mentions in news articles / media. Let me know if you have any further questions — IVORK Discuss 23:30, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
Hello,
In my previous note I said:
The current Joseph Meli page is incorrect, he is my father and I would like to make it as accurate as possible. I will obtain whatever sources necessary to do so. Firstly his birth name is not Joesph it is Giuseppe but he goes by Joe - so would like the page to reflect this and be changed to Joe Meli please.
In addition to this I would like to mention that I did not create this page, but would like to edit it and provide sources.
Here is just one source - http://ashfm.ca/hall-of-fame-honoured-members/browse/judo/meli-joe

Request on 02:08:51, 15 May 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by Purc311
I am trying to publish a change about Hainesport Township's neighborhoods but I don't know the mechanics of doing this . You would think this would be a simple modification . I have a verifiable source but how to do this is difficult. Can someone help me step by step? I have to add more neighborhoods to the Geography section and cite my source which is Hainesport School.
Purc311 (talk) 02:08, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
- G'day Purc311, I had responded to your previous message here saying:
G'day Purc311, yes, but the template you submitted was through the articles for creation process, which is generally used for submitting entirely new articles for review. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to let me know here —
IVORK Discuss01:43, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
- Does that cover your points? I've noticed you did make the change back in March, but it got reverted. Perhaps take it up on the page's talk page here — IVORK Discuss 04:14, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
NPR Newsletter No.11 25 May 2018
ACTRIAL:
- WP:ACREQ has been implemented. The flow at the feed has dropped back to the levels during the trial. However, the backlog is on the rise again so please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day; a backlog approaching 5,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.
Deletion tags
- Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders. They require your further verification.
Backlog drive:
- A backlog drive will take place from 10 through 20 June. Check out our talk page at WT:NPR for more details. NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.
Editathons
- There will be a large increase in the number of editathons in June. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.
Paid editing - new policy
- Now that ACTRIAL is ACREQ, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. There is a new global WMF policy that requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.
Subject-specific notability guidelines
- The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
- Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies.
Not English
- A common issue: Pages not in English or poor, unattributed machine translations should not reside in main space even if they are stubs. Please ensure you are familiar with WP:NPPNE. Check in Google for the language and content, tag as required, then move to draft if they do have potential.
News
- Development is underway by the WMF on upgrades to the New Pages Feed, in particular ORES features that will help to identify COPYVIOs, and more granular options for selecting articles to review.
- The next issue of The Signpost has been published. The newspaper is one of the best ways to stay up to date with news and new developments. between our newsletters.

Blanking of Talk:Pals For Life
The page Pals For Life was an article, but then got reverted to a redirect to Pals for Life. Also, Talk:Pals for Life was undeleted at around the same time you blanked Talk:Pals For Life. - No worries GeoffreyT2000, I had seen it as a redirect to an invalid target when browsing User Onel5969's contributions using User:Anomie/linkclassifier.css, it must not have cached the fact the target was invalid at that point. — IVORK Discuss 22:24, 26 June 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.12 30 July 2018
|
Hello Renamed user cdb78c3737e6b7f6ba7e28cedcc6608711202eee, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!
- June backlog drive
Overall the June backlog drive was a success, reducing the last 3,000 or so to below 500. However, as expected, 90% of the patrolling was done by less than 10% of reviewers.
Since the drive closed, the backlog has begun to rise sharply again and is back up to nearly 1,400 already. Please help reduce this total and keep it from raising further by reviewing some articles each day.
- New technology, new rules
- New features are shortly going to be added to the Special:NewPagesFeed which include a list of drafts for review, OTRS flags for COPYVIO, and more granular filter preferences. More details can be found at this page.
- Probationary permissions: Now that PERM has been configured to allow expiry dates to all minor user rights, new NPR flag holders may sometimes be limited in the first instance to 6 months during which their work will be assessed for both quality and quantity of their reviews. This will allow admins to accord the right in borderline cases rather than make a flat out rejection.
- Current reviewers who have had the flag for longer than 6 months but have not used the permissions since they were granted will have the flag removed, but may still request to have it granted again in the future, subject to the same probationary period, if they wish to become an active reviewer.
- Editathons
- Editathons will continue through August. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.
- The Signpost
- The next issue of the monthly magazine will be out soon. The newspaper is an excellent way to stay up to date with news and new developments between our newsletters. If you have special messages to be published, or if you would like to submit an article (one about NPR perhaps?), don't hesitate to contact the editorial team here.
