Thanks from Yanksox!

Thanks, Capt, for supporting my RfA, which registered a tally of 104/4/7. Which means...

nonsense protologism?

Okay Pilotguy I can be a reasonable guy but your kind of a party pooper.

You deleted the term chillax because it is as you say "nonsense protologism". you may have heard of the term protologism, big deal! But here is another term you should look up. It's called humor. Laugh a little man. Maybe you should chillax. I dont care if I lose my account for this but I just had to say it loud and clear, Your a party pooper.

Why did you block me?

WoW is World of Warcraft. I've never heard of the Willy on Wheels.

Pilotguy, please can you protect this page to prevent this user from abusing the unblock?? Ta. --TheM62Manchester 17:13, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Help?

Can you block the user User:72.144.236.213 He keeps adding userboxes and rubbish to my talk and user pages. - Mike Beckham 23:25, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

He continues to flood my talk page with nonesense, could it be locked or the user be blocked please I am sick of reverting it. - Mike Beckham 00:09, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Done. --Pilotguy (roger that) 00:49, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

I think he is using sockpuppets, he is doing it under a new ip User:65.9.96.109. Both Bellsouth Atlanta. Can my talk and/or user pages be locked for a bit? - Mike Beckham 01:08, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

AOL talk pages, and the persistent restoration of warnings several years old

As much as I appreciate your passive agressive response as opposed to out right aggression, I'm afraid I still don't understand the point of what you're doing, the only thing it does it makes sure there's always an available reason to block an AOL IP, but beyond that, why do you keep doing it? You've restored out of date warnings on dozens of AOL talk pages in the last few weeks, in the process, removing all of the recent warnings, and replacing them with out dated ones--AOL account 23:23, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

  • You don't seem to understand, in most of the cases where you've restored random warnings to AOL talk pages it was the last edit to that page, since I have all of them watch listed I see this first hand, the amount of AOL vandalism gets exaggerated, it's almost an urban legand, but first hand, there's maybe 1 or 2 major warnings a night that pop up on my watch list. And each time that happens you personally restore each and every warning going all the way back to 2004 when AOL started using this stupid proxy system in the first place.--AOL account 00:09, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

True or Flase?

  1. AOL doesn't use XTP Headers..
  2. Without them there is no way for a 'new message' to reach the correct page..
  3. New messages can never reach the correct person, unless they're on a semi static (the 172s)..
  4. Dropping warnings into the AOL proxy pool just leaves dozens of 'new messages' floating around until they hit someone..
--AOL account 00:20, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

I really don't give a shit about AOL (and you shouldn't either, unless you are an employee, which you appear to be acting like). All I know is that you ignored what I had to write, and you somehow think that taking control of the AOL portion of Wikipedia as well as shoving nonsense into other people's heads is going to change people's minds. It is not. There is nothing I am doing out of process, and there is nothing you are doing out of process. Kindly refrain from filling my talk page with nonsense. --Pilotguy (roger that) 00:30, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

  • You of course seem to be leaving out the obvious "and you shouldn't either, unless you are.... using AOL?" And there actually is a guidline on this somewhere, WP:SIZE for one, and surely using popups to revert non-vandalism..--AOL account 00:42, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm not going to continue this stupidly pathetic conversation. I appreciate your worrying of me, but please mind your own business from now on. --Pilotguy (roger that) 00:51, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for getting in touch over this issue. You might like to amend the bit "and I hope the same can be said of you", as it appears to imply there is some indication that I would not work with you over it, and there is absolutely none. In fact, I already have this user box (which I devised) on my user page:)

This admin asks other admins to change his actions if they disagree, and will not wheel war.

I was emailed by Jgwlaw but my reply bounced back as "unknown or illegal alias". As in her message she stated, "I intend to pursue this as a formal complaint," my reply anyway was to state, "As you have threatened me with a formal complaint, I have nothing more to communicate with you by email."

I received an email from her husband Gwfesq, headed "How Authoritarian of you", accusing me of "paranoid thinking", "your attack upon me" and "You and your 3 admin friends got your panties in a wad at JAWESQ and I, perhaps for cause, perhaps not and you elected to use your power as admin to silence JAWESQ as part of personal vendetta. Then you made sure to spread it around on other people's talk pages in the guise that they were mentioned in a transparent attempt to defame." (As a courtesy I had simply informed those people whom I had mentioned in my statement on AN/I.)

He also emailed to say, "I hate to break it you, but if she is bouncing emails back, she is already no longer communicating with you." I received 2 other emails from him, the last of which included, "I do think I was set up by Weregerbil, so you may call me paranoid. But remember, just because you think someone is out to get you, doesn't mean they aren't. I have been around corporate /big firm politics long enough, I should have seen it coming. First the "friendly" sock puppet warning then the threat to ban as a sock puppet. It was a declaration of war, not a friendly warning." I have seen nothing to doubt that Weregerbil is caring and was acting in good faith. I said after that I wasn't prepared to continue the dialogue.

I have no problem leaving this in your hands at the moment to take whatever action you see fit. I would suggest that if Jgwlaw's block is lifted so she can comment on AN/I then it should be on the condition that she is only allowed to comment on that page, but again I leave this to your discretion. After the reaction to the block, my own sympathy is with Samir's suggestion that it should be extended until we can see that editing privileges will not be abused.

Let me know if you need to see the contents of the emails or if I can help in any other way.

Tyrenius 00:57, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

PS I remain concerned as Jglaw's last post (to date) is still unable to see the situation in any other terms than "character assassination".[1] Tyrenius 01:26, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Copied from my talk page (Tyrenius) FYI

Hi Tyrenius. In the context of the new article James J. Shapiro, I think it would be fair to unblock User:Jgwlaw so she can participate in discussion on it. If her behaviour continues to be inappropriate, the threshold for restoring the block would of course be at your discretion. Many thanks -- Samir धर्म 02:24, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi Samir, personally I consider her previous behaviour and her subsequent behaviour since the block has forfeited her right for the time being for editor privileges, as there is every sign that they would continue to be abused, so I am not lifting the block. I consider from my discussions with the article creator User:WAS 4.250 that he has been scrupulous in wishing to apply NPOV encyclopedic standards and that Jgwlaw's response would be from an unrelenting POV that any attempt to biog Shapiro is in fact part of some wiki campaign of "lawyer bashing". However, I have no objection to you or Pilotguy (see his talk page) removing the block, provided you are prepared to deal with the consequences. Thanks for asking. :) I knew the article was being rewritten, but had no idea it was going to be uploaded, by the way. Tyrenius 02:43, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
I defer to your better judgment. The behaviour certainly has been egregious. Take care -- Samir धर्म 02:56, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi -

I noticed that you blocked the above user for adding stupid Colbert-inspired comments to elephant-related articles. Just a couple of comments: I was having a conversation about the user at about the same time, asking them to stop, and was a little surprised to find that they had been blocked without a warning or block template being added to their talk page. I also see that the block is indefinite, which seems a little harsh, notwithstanding the stupidity of the offence. I appreciate that the situation was getting out of hand, but we should try not to WP:BITE. -- ALoan (Talk) 10:30, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Template AOL

Piltoguy, I know you don't agree but you have not talked about it on the talk pager and you have presented no evidence of your own. This is not "fairness" it is laziness, and as you are involved in the dispute!Acting fairly would have been to protect it when there were multiple 3RRs and resolving it on the talk pages. Reverting to your OWN version in an edit war, then protecting.. tsk tsk... you know better than this. Anyway, I have explained my own reasons on the talk page, just reiterating what I and others have said before, please reply. --Darkfred Talk to me 14:55, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Ryulong RFA

Hi Pilotguy... techinically I'm not supposed to be here... I was blocked for reverting a FALSE incest quote complete with bogus source that Ryulong fought very hard to uphold on the Jeremy Clarkson article. (ITS ALL IN THE HISTORY) It's a long story... but regardless... I was OPPOSITION vote 16 and my vote was deleted by #3 supporter within 90 seconds!!, MrLefty and my suspension was increased to TWO weeks instead of one, I believe, so that I'd miss the end vote. Ryulong, along with his ASDMIN bully friends have pretty much destroyed my enjoyment of the site. When I first discovered the FALSE quote, I deleted it citing that "IF YOURE GONNA SAY THAT JEREMY SAID THAT ALL OF USA PRACTICES INCEST, THEN YOU'LL NEED TO BACK IT UP" as it seems too controversial. He reverted me 3 or 4 times claiming that "jeremy could have easily said that"...(Im trying to make this short as possible)... he deleted it... I tried to open a topic on the JC talk page and he deleted my topic 6 times then had me blocked by his admin buddies for VANDALISM I think? Anyway... I told THIS story on the admin page where instead of being smug, rude and cocky, he apologised to me and removed the quote saying that it was a mistake. This was certainly not a mistake... he tried fervently to keep tha page innaccurate and I have been blocked for suspending him and have also had a valid vote thwarted.

I just thought that you should know about it because of your NEUTRAL vote.

Although the page now is just how I think it should be(factual), I am now very concerned that this chap will be ADMIN. He and his admin bully buddies can make life miserable for a LOT of wikifolk. It's just not cool.

You know how the kid acts nice and sweet when the teacher is watching and then twists your nipple when the teacher is not looking... thats what this guy does.

When the edit war was going on, his gang suspended me and then he told me "I AM ACTUALLY LAUGHING OUT LOUD".

Is this a fake vote from MrLefty?---> [2]

Heres the one where they deleted my vote---> [3]

I'm sure you know that I have waged a small war against this editor, Ryulong using a number of IPs and ISPs, but that does not invalidate anything I have said here.

Please look into my claims... I haven't lied and I think that you will see that my claims are true. If you have any sway AT ALL... don't let this 18yr old testosterone fueled, egomaniac become ADMIN. He will abuse the tools and will only bring misery.

Is that normal to delete someone's topic from a discussion seven times? Seems unfair somehow. He has no powers yet, but abuses his knowledge over others.

Mate, I'm very sorry for the essay.

Thanks for reading.

Sorry if I'm mistaken, but aren't we supposed to list the user's RfA at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship prior to them accepting?
