Image:ARRERNTE.JPG

Sorry, but I do not understand why you've nominated this image for speedy deletion -- Reason given was: "Per CSD I2 - image is corrupt/empty". I created it, put it in Wikimedia (the first image I've put there) and linked it back to relevant pages, notably the completely relevant HMAS Arunta (FFH 151). (Okay, a more relevant image could be found for Tally (cap).) I could see the image when it was uploaded; I've used suitable copyright tags; there was relevant commentary in the description page, that I have since expanded; the image is not 'blank' or 'corrupt'; I can still see it; and, it had a relevant description when used. Comments, please, or a detailed explanation of what I ought to do to have this matter resolved. - Peter Ellis - Talk 01:21, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Which deletion request? // Pilotguy hold short 20:14, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Philip's Wiki Page

As nawlinwiki said above, she posted that page at my request. It had been deleted. And i was trying to review it so that i could review and possibly contest the deletion on the wikipedia deletion review page. Please restore it as i need it to back and verify my points.

Thanks in advanced for your cooperation,

Hey, that last talk page you protected seems to have a typo that I'm not sure how to fix (not bein an admin - I've never used it before, sorry). Just in case you want to take a look: User talk:65.94.156.187danielfolsom 21:29, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Ok this is kinda unorthodox - but would you mind taking a look at this guy - i've been browsing the recent changes and he keeps doing vandalism to one page. Thanks!danielfolsom 21:35, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Shane Ruttle Martinez

I would like to bring to your attention the following pages: Shane Ruttle Martinez, Marxist Candidate Page, Paul Fromm, and Paul Fromm (neo-Nazi). The same users are at each page putting forth the same unsourced information that is very POV. They also edit out any sourced negative information. The users I speak of are user:Frank Pais, user:AnnieHall, user:Black as pitch, user:Paul Fromm (blocked, I believe), and the new account user:CmrdMariategui. I do not have enough information to go to the sock puppet page to warrant an investigation, and I only came onto the pages based on the BLP claims. It seems that they have a strange understanding of BLP and POV that only positive information (especially unsourced positive information) is the only thing allowed on a page, and that sources with vague connection to the line they claim to be references for are allowed to "prove" notability of the figure mentioned. It is very strange and seems to be a great problem. For information connecting the people as being sockpuppets or possibly a group that uses numbers to avoid the Three R Rule, see the histories of the pages I cited above or my user page to see where a newly created name said I was "wrong" about a page and reverted where I removed blatantly wrong sources that didn't actually match the lines which they were included on. SanchiTachi 01:08, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Also, notice that the same people question the use of the "Toronto Sun" as being credible when it describes their person in the negative, but use the same paper to describe their opposition in the negative here Paul Fromm (neo-Nazi) at reference 1. Also, the fact that they throw around "neo-nazi" and "racist" without having proof is definately against the terms of BLP. SanchiTachi 01:12, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Please see the recent conflict of issues with admin Jossi. Thank you. SanchiTachi 02:24, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

On Borrowed Time

I see you reverted an anonymous editors changes to On Borrowed Time. I agree that his "sentimental tear-jerker as well as a magical, philosophical and well-acted story" statement is rather POV, and his spoiler warning is crude, but he did a pretty good job of expanding on the plot. Do you not agree? --rogerd 02:54, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello, Rogerd. I re-registered under a new user name (forgot my original one) so I'm no longer anonymous. And in my second attempt to expand the stub I tried to fix the objections you raised. I still don't know what other objections PilotGuy had, and don't see why someone would delete an entire edit instead of just editing out the objectionable parts. I was ignorant of the POV policy, at least where it comes to art, since I see so much of it here, plus I had just watched the movie again after many years and was still caught up in it, so wanted to expand on the summary. Thanks for the hints on my editing, as well as the compliment. I'm a writer and editor by profession, and I always appreciate feedback.Wlegro (William)

I'd like to know if this text was taken from another website or if it's entirely original research because neither's really appropriate. I would at least like to see it all in a plot section (which is what you have appeared to do to most of them). It could be better written, especially to make it more encyclopedic. Take a look at related articles to get an idea of what I'm talking about. -Pilotguy hold short 16:51, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Bad heading of this page

The heading of this talk page looks like a mess with overlapping letters and repeated "User talk:Pilotguy" in my browser (IE 7.0 with medium text size). Is there a good reason for the initial source line "{{User:1ne/Title|User talk:Pilotguy- Welcome, please sign ... " ? The problem disappears when I preview without the line. Your 3RR block of User:Geni

I am conducting the unblock review on your 24-hour block of Geni for a 3RR violation on Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. Geni's has requested unblock claiming that he only made three edits to the article today and this appears to be well-taken. While of course edit-warring can be blockable even absent a technical 3RR violation, this is not the basis you gave for the block and it does appear that Geni was engaged in talkpage discussion as reflected in his edit summaries. Could you please comment on this block at User talk:Geni. Thanks, Newyorkbrad 01:13, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

I've removed the block based on a lack of consensus to support it. --Michael Snow 02:07, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

I understand, but I still don't know what you were commenting on. I was thinking you might have misunderstood the situation and thought people were complaining that images were getting deleted inappropriately all the time. The discussion is about a specific incident, wherein Naconkantari deleted thousands of images inappropriately and is only restoring the ones that people specifically bring to his attention. Hallo Pilotguy

You contributed comments to my first try at creating an entry for Brookside Adolescent Psychiatric Unit in March this year. The entry was deleted as possibly blatant advertising. I have now re-written it as far as I can along lines similar to entries that are accepted, but I am completely defeated by the system [being very unfamiliar with it yet]. I cannot figure out how to re-submit my draft and would be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction.

In User talk:Pilotguy/Archive6#A difficult request, there is a link to an archived WP:ANI section which needs to be updated. The proper location of the link is: [[Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive124#Ethnic slur]]. Please fix this link, so that users who read your archives will be able to find the WP:ANI discussion. Od Mishehu 16:19, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
