Edit war warning
Your recent editing history at Cristiano Ronaldo–Lionel Messi rivalry shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jkudlick (talk • contribs) 18:50, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

Manchester United captains
I've had an opportunity to add references to Fletcher and Carrick on your page. I have left Rooney's captaincy and Falcao's loan reference-less as they did not need one previous to the Fletcher and Carrick vice-captain additions. I haven't yet looked into why they don't need referencing, but will let you know when I do if you are interested. If I discover that either reference needs adding, I will let you know and show you how to do it! Drop me a line if you have any further questions. Gratefully, mgSH 23:37, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

User Qed237
Hi,
Since I have seen you have some issues with my editing I thought I should bring the subject up here. I would appreciate if you came to my face if you have some issues with my editing instead of calling me a knobhead a bad wikipedian What I did in the later was to ask you to include a source for 15 saves when such source did not even exist on the article. What exactly makes me a bad wikipedian? Maybe you chould clean before your own door as you are often condecending to others and has a long block history. QED237 (talk) 17:42, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for the informative message, much better when you told me what you dont like instead of just calling me names. I understand your way of seing it and I meant no harm reverting you, but the fact stands that the number 15 was unsourced in that article and I had not time to correct it myself, and it was a valid revert. I know I revert very much, and I know you do it to, since I often look at my watchlist and reverts incorrect edits. About the timestamps I always try and inform the editors if they do it more than once since it takes so much time writing messsage every time and I would like to also spend my time elsewhere. I have tried looking at other alternatives, such as {{subst:user:Qed237/livescores}} and having a message prepared to make it quicker to leave message. Do you know if that is possible? QED237 (talk) 18:56, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
- And what did I say to you about talking down to others, saying they cant read [1]. Stop complaining about me when you can clear your own things. QED237 (talk) 16:23, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
Vinyls
Hullo. Vinyl as a medium for sound reproduction is uncountable. It works pretty much the same way as "sheep". You can have one pig, or a lot of pigs, but when you have more than one sheep, you still have sheep (not sheeps). Similarly, you can have one CD, or as many CDs as you can afford, but no matter how much vinyl you get, you've still got vinyl. If you don't believe me, look at the Wiktionary page for vinyl. :) -- Stopsayingvinyls (talk) 16:06, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi PeeJay!
I'm not quite sure how well familiar you are when it comes to La Liga, but Cosmin Contra, the manager of Getafe was announced as the new Guangzhou R&F manager on 18 December 2014.1 2 However, when I accessed the official La Liga website, his name still appeared in the match report against Rayo Vallecano.3 For your information, I have already edited Mr. Contra's page (including his managerial record, which I had to explain to 84.90.219.128),4 as well as other Getafe-related articles and templates as well (also the 2014–15 La Liga article), but I'm not certain if my edits is correct. I myself believe that this match may have been his last game, since I believe his contract with Guangzhou started today.5 (I picked this source up from one of GOAT Roger's edits on the Guangzhou R&F article,6 but I'm not sure if it's a reliable source since it's written in Chinese (I'm of Chinese descent myself, but unfortunately not a fluent speaker.) Think you could lend me a helping hand on this situation? If not, then perhaps the subject should be discussed with other editors. Thanks! Arbero (talk) 16:20, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
- Yep, I suppose you are right. But thanks for your effort. Arbero (talk) 19:09, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
Well,I'm the user GOAT Roger, a sports fan from Guangzhou. Guangzhou R&F F.C. is a football club in China, therefore it's a bit difficult to look for a piece of English news as a citation. The news is from a mainstream website of China, citing the official announcement of the club. So I think it's most likely reliable. — Preceding undated comment added 16:34, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

2008 Final
This reference which you added to the article might be better in the post-match section as the source is better, but it does not name any possible new teams which Drogba could have gone too. If I were you, I would remove the whole part on the gossip as it happens all the time in football to no great avail, unless you can find reliable proof that AC Milan had talks with that Chelsea quartet. This article which I have linked here seems to point out a Zeitgeist that Drogba would leave (I seem to recall this although I was 12 - he did have quite a flaccid season compared to the one before) which could be wider explored.
Happy editing, you've done a great job '''tAD''' (talk) 16:37, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
I don't think the objection in the GA review was whether the logos are copyrighted, as they are de minimis in this photo, but rather that the main thing in the photo is the giant screen and its content (the projection) could be copyrighted. If it is, then it could be practically the same as taking a photo of a TV screen when a programme is on, or taking a photo of a book cover. I'm really not sure about it, so I'll leave it as it is now. '''tAD''' (talk) 18:52, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- Nay lad, it's not an "altercation" at all. Just different interpretations of fair use. In my 25,000-edit career I've met far worse than that '''tAD''' (talk) 19:29, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Walter Spratt
I assumed 117.120.16.133 was correct with his edits to Walter Spratt as he got Spratt's date of death correct, guess he just made up the DOB and POB, looks like he has done that on a few pages. I'm not disputing the sources, nice one. Beatpoet (talk) 00:12, 13 January 2015 (UTC)

DYK for 2008 UEFA Champions League Final
On 23 January 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 2008 UEFA Champions League Final, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Manchester United F.C.'s victory in the 2008 UEFA Champions League Final came 40 years after the team's first European Cup title and 50 years after the Munich air disaster? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/2008 UEFA Champions League Final. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |
