QPQ
Please see Wikipedia:Did you know#Review requirement. They started this system over a year ago to ensure that the long list of DYK nominations would be reviewed in a timely manner. Anyone with over 5 DYK credits is required to review another nomination before his hook is approved.
By the way, as you write more articles, you may want to add something to your user page so your name shows up blue instead of red. There's a fun selection of userboxes out there. Best, Yoninah (talk) 21:13, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

DYK for Child sexual abuse in Australia
On 18 May 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Child sexual abuse in Australia, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that 65% of male and female prisoners in New South Wales were sexually abused as children? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Child sexual abuse in Australia. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Speedy deletion for Bonsal Unified
Hello, I am interested why you flagged my article for speedy deletion. It was just an effort to expand coverage of the San Diego educational systems on wikipedia. I am part of WikiProject San Diego and just trying to do my part. Also, how would this be deemed promotional? It is a school district. Ghostkrashers (talk) 03:56, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Ghostkrashers:, only 1 reference, which is WP:PRIMARYSOURCE. OccultZone (Talk) 03:58, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

Aun Gallery
Dear OccultZone
I would like to know how you thought a listing for a gallery with links is an advertisement? As you can see if you read the article, it is listed as one of the main galleries in Iran. It is also the first in the country to be designed as a gallery space. I would urge you to reconsider this, as I just put a lot of work to highlight galleries in Tehran, how about you send me a message at first listing the problems you have for the page, as you haven't listed any? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bigabdul (talk • contribs) 11:46, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Bigabdul: Whenever a single user happens to make the pages that are related to an organization, relatively large(for new page), but include only one source which is primary, it can be easily deemed as promotional. I don't know anyone who contributed to this page, nor I know about any of the associates related with the gallery. OccultZone (Talk) 11:53, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
Occult Zone, how can more than one user in its first hour of creation create a page? I have to be someone to start off the proceedure do I not? Then as time progresses more people alter the page? I have added other links now so can you please remove the deletion of the page, I am attempting to show Iran does have a cultural scene and a vibrant one at that. I do not work for the gallery and as you can see from my previous posts I am editing many areas around Tehran. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bigabdul (talk • contribs) 11:59, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Bigabdul: Tag removed. Check how I have added references, I had added one more reference to the article. OccultZone (Talk) 12:16, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion converted to PROD: Winslow School, Tyngsborough
Hello OccultZone. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Winslow School, Tyngsborough to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. Shirt58 (talk) 09:42, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
Edits to Dixon Hearne page
Hi I have made some changes to the Dixon Hearne page. I added more secondary sources, lists of publications and honors and awards (to prove notability), as well as a longer list of external links. I haven't yet found articles I can link this one to, but I will do that soon if you think what I've done so far clears up some of the issues you mentioned earlier. Thanks!!! I have unreviewed a page you curated
Hi, I'm Mabalu. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Pakdam Pakdai, and have un-reviewed it again. If you have any questions, please ask them on my talk page. Thank you. Mabalu (talk) 17:13, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
- The review was obviously a side effect of the speedy deletion nomination. I have done some basic editing but unreviewed it again for others to have a look and see what they think. Mabalu (talk) 17:15, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Mabalu: reviewed? Check again, I wanted that page to be deleted. OccultZone (Talk) 17:20, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
- That's what I said, "obviously a side effect of the speedy deletion nomination" as above. Every time someone tags a page for deletion or adds tags using the Curation tool, it automatically marks the page as reviewed. Winds me up too... I am always unreviewing pages after tagging them. Mabalu (talk) 17:23, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Mabalu: something should be done about it. If prod template have been removed, it should become unreviewed. Keep up your good work. OccultZone (Talk) 03:30, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi. I've declined your speedy request as A9 is not appropriate for this article. A9 only applies when a recording is not notable (I pass no comment on this album) AND the artistes are not the subject of an article. In this case, there's been an article on them since about 2005. A9 is unusual at CSD in that two criteria must be met. If you feel that notability isn't shown, there's always WP:PROD or WP:AFD. There's no speedy suitable for it. Peridon (talk) 11:22, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

I was about to take this to AfD when I saw your edits at Prashant Passy Pilley. Did you noticed that one of the links on that page is [1] about someone getting 5 years in jail in 1993? I'm very dubious about the BLP, more so about the company. See[2] - do you believe all that? I looked up Tim Conrad (correct spelling), can't find anything linking him to WPP. A search for "Bond 24" and "Western Pacific Production" turns up only that web page. Dougweller (talk) 13:15, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Dougweller:, when I had reviewed this article I had found more than 80,000 results of this name. I had clean up, check [3], it was my last version. Now that article is dominated by its creator, it will be pretty harder for me to collaborate with the creator right now but it can be done anytime. The company you are talking about, Western Pacific is not the best source, I have commented on its Afd. OccultZone (Talk) 13:30, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
- Odd. I get "about 28,900" yet when I click on the last page I end up with 27. Try again searching on his name, and start clicking through the pages. Something is odd with Google. See Bing: [4]. Hi OccultZone. I saw your comment in the deletion discussion of this article and the link you included. I wasn't clear if with the link you were indicating that coverage in that book establishes notability or if you were pointing to the citations already supporting that bit along with the recently added book citation? And another editor has responded that the book does not cover her in depth (I haven't looked into it). Could you please clarify? Thanks. Candleabracadabra (talk) 12:44, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

hi, I've renamed Category:Lists of cities in India to Category:List of cities in India, is it correct? as after renaming i saw there are many pages with heading written as "Lists" instead of "list".Vin09 (talk) 16:53, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Vin09: It is correct, just replace the old title with the new title, wherever they were added. OccultZone (Talk) 17:01, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
Why?
Hi OccultZone! I still don't understand why you edited my corrections regarding the article about Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. The lines about corruption and criticism are very unreliable; for example: Varga Llosa is a well known figure who has been historically negative of the Argentine governments, specially post 90's. And the other 4 links correspond all to the Economist, a source which has never said one good thing about Kirchner and has praised the economic policy of the disastrous IMF in Argentina (which led to the crisis in 2001).
I think it should be corrected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AgustinArgentina (talk • contribs) 17:49, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
- @AgustinArgentina: Best place for raising such issues would be Talk:Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, you cannot remove the whole part but you can provide explanation on the talk page. I think that there should be some notable criticism of Kirchner's regime on the leading paragraph even if you think that Varga Llosa is not proper source. OccultZone (Talk) 17:54, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi, on Kozhikode#Shopping_Malls page the shopping malls info is looking like too much promotional for private organizations. What should be done? Need help. Hello OccultZone. - Sorry about the templated message! For me assessments of "speedy" deletion involves checking for non-English language sources, checking Google's scanned newspaper archives, seeing whether LA Weekly has an article, and if so is a reliable source, and if so is a blog is a reliable source, going to check how dinner is cooking... by the time I'm ready to put forward a tentative opinion the article is usually either OK'd or deleted anyway! - @Shirt58: over 60,000 results concerning this artist. I think that more can be written, we can help the editor. At this moment, the article has maintenance tags. If article has been brought to Afd and some user happens to discover 1-2 or more reliable sources, it will end up with a speedy keep. OccultZone (Talk) 11:17, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

Census info
For every 10 years Indian population is released by the government. People are updating it for yearly basis on certain town pages. Is is correct because in my opinion its not genuine which is expectations released by the press. Also, based on the genuine stats the city rankings are based, users are simply updating assumed stats and changing their city rankings which are based on population. Hyderabad - a featured article of wiki is a genuine page which has 2011 census, but other small towns and cities are simply changed by users.Vin09 (talk) 17:19, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- National consensus should be the source for these types of information, and it should match with the source. You can also use the 1991 consensus, but you have to specifically refer about the year. OccultZone (Talk) 17:31, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

I am just curious - why did you do this edit? https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Philip_Delano&diff=601628841&oldid=591082297
The references were fine the way they were. All you did was transpose the order of references. Is their some new guideline I'm not aware of? Mugginsx (talk) 20:21, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Mugginsx: That was months ago. If you watch properly not just reference order was maintained on that edit, but few white spaces and blank lines were removed. Those days I usually had 1 or 2 options of WP:AWB disabled but still did many changes as these articles were hardly ever edited. Later I had to disable more for avoiding less effective changes. OccultZone (Talk) 22:33, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, reference order in that case was already maintained by virtue of the way they were originally formatted and your reversing the order of them made no difference. example: [1] will always go to the primary reference by virtue of a letter or number on the primary reference. The extra spaces do not normally show up in the editing processes. Again I see no difference. Sometimes, the reason there are no changes made is because they are not needed. I always appreciate valid corrections to my articles, but in this case, there was no need for them. Mugginsx (talk) 12:16, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Mugginsx: Pretty much. But like I said, that was months ago. It's been a long time that I don't make those edits anymore. OccultZone (Talk) 12:24, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

Help
Info needed on categories : What is the difference between Category:Districts of India and Category:Districts of India by name. Also, have your word on Hyderabad talk page on a discussion regarding categories.Vin09 (talk) 04:48, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- No difference at all. Either any one of them should be used on a single page. Not both. That is all I have to say on this matter. You can let me know about the outcome of the discussion that you are having on the page of Hyderabad. If there are disagreements, we shall bring it to the main noticeboard of category. Happy editing. OccultZone (Talk) 04:52, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, there is a disagreement from one user stating some examples of FA status page, don't know which is correct, the disagreement states : there should not be any regional categories like cities in a <region> but FA pages do have in his examples.Vin09 (talk) 05:00, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

List portal
Any reason you are adding "List" portal to many category pages, e.g. here? Seems totally irrelevant... Fram (talk) 09:25, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Fram: Its pages(1805 in Wales, 1806 in Wales) do have these projects. But yes I can drop the idea of adding "list" if you want so. I had actually confirmed this idea from other editor before I would make it, it was uncontroversial. I did only on 5 pages. OccultZone (Talk) 09:29, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, because you added them in the first place (at the top, as first project, instead of the polite at the bottom). The link between these categories and that project is strenuous at best (unless you want to add every category to the project?) But a lot worse is that portal Lists has nothing to do with Project Lists. Please check what you add before mass adding things like this. Your link goes to Portal:Contents/Portals. Fram (talk) 09:38, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- Correct, that's why I had stopped editing that one after I did about 5. So I could see what others would be thinking. It is good enough with the projects and other portal(such as history). I would have added the "Years" portal, but there is none. @Fram: is there any possibility that I can create a portal for "Years"? OccultZone (Talk) 09:41, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think you need permission. I have worked with portals years back ("Belgium" and "Comics" mainly), but I no longer see the purpose in them, they take away much time and energy that can be much better spent editing articles IMO. I don't know of any portals that actually give any real benefit for readers or editors. But that is just my opinion, I don't think there is a policy that would stop you creating one. Perhaps check with wikiproject portals, if such a thing exists? Fram (talk) 09:46, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- Yes I had and it doesn't exist. I got my answer, yes a lot better things can be done, I got about 100s of articles to write, concerning history and social issues, but sometimes I think about making rest of the things better. Just like many of our editors try to. OccultZone (Talk) 09:49, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

I removed another 11 instances where you added the List portal to a category. By the way, perhaps you already know this, but if you create new year in country cats, you can use much simpler syntax now; compare these two: I removed the List portal, but apart from that, these give the exaft same result, but the newer Template:Year in country category one is much easier (to use and to comprehend) than the old "year by category" template. No need to convert existing ones, normally, since it doesn't improve the end result, but for new ones you may like to consider using it. It is already used on some 6,000 pages. Fram (talk) 10:01, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- Yes and I removed the remaining one. This one sounds more simplified than other one. Maybe whenever these categories would be edited, I will just replace with the above code, so there will be multiple changes to the page. OccultZone (Talk) 10:08, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

awb edits
I've noticed a pattern where it seems you just click save instead of fixing some problems. Songbyrd (TV Series) is an example. With this edit you did clean out an problematic plain list, but it is now empty an should have been removed. The state the article was in before you arrived shows a broken ref and no reflist. Those errors do show up in AWB's alert box. Those errors showed up on the checkwiki lists which is how I arrived at the article. Not everything can be fixed in every article, but if you fix what you can, it saves others from spending time going back and fixing them. Bgwhite (talk) 08:00, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Bgwhite: Good catch here, and thanks. If I had checked manually, I would've removed the notability tag first, just did it. OccultZone (Talk) 08:11, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Bgwhite:Article still had unbalanced reference style, per auto-program. I have never seen this refstyle before. Switched to common reference style. OccultZone (Talk) 08:17, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
- You should not have changed this without discussion per WP:CITEVAR. This style (of using the "refs= parameter) is more often seen on larger articles to make it easier to find the ref text and avoind cluttering the body of the article, but you still should not have changed it. I added internal links from the Mike Little, Search Engine Strategies and Manchester Metropolitan University Business School to Sascon. Rape in India
Please stop deleting my fully and properly sourced amendments to the main article.
Your stated reason for deleting my amendments is that in your view there is no need to "expand on the lead." This reason seems flimsy, meaningless and more to the point makes no sense at all given the substance of my amendments. I was not expanding on anything in the main article but was citing the fact that rape goes largely unreported in India and that the statistics cited in the main article had to be viewed with a healthy amount of skepticism, which is what a lot of journalists are calling for as well.
If you have a substantive issue with my amendments then share them here - I always keep an open mind; but do not delete them and provide flimsy reasons for doing so, as you will leave me with no other choice but to report you.
Many Thanks
Andrew Andrewstephens1234 19:55, 30 May 2014 {UTC}
- Let me read, 1st source don't even have a word like "culture" and you claim that "culture stigma" is the cause. 2nd, source from "Washingtonmonthly" is just a opinion of a writer who is expressing self opinion that how low rape cases occur in India, and "how many unreported rapes does all this extrapolate to? It’s difficult to even think about", how it accomplishes anything?
- Finally the last source of "express.co.uk" claims that "Activists say that figure is misleading due to a culture of tolerance for sexual violence in India which leads many cases to go unreported." It is obviously WP:WEASEL, I mean which activists? How it establishes anything? When it is certainly the job of Activist to 'say' something. We know that rapes go underreported, but doesn't means that it can be written here, without knowing the authority behind the allegation.

need help about Doc PenPen B. Takipsilim's Article
Dear OccultZone,
First, thank you very much for the encouragement to improve my article. I am still conceptualizing the most appropriate formats, designs and embedding of photos, like sample of my original poems (in PENTASI B Collector's Edition ) exhibited in Irving K. Barber Learning Center and The National Museum of the Philippines.
I must admit I am still studying how to maximize the use of wikipedia editing tools for best result. Rest assured all the contents and my article can be fully authenticated and verified.
Your help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Serndhu Polama
Hi,
Thanks for letting me know about this. Since the article was deleted through the proposed deletion process, which depends on unanimous consent, I choose to interpret the article's recreation as an objection to the PROD, rendering the PROD null and void. The proper course now would be for anyone objecting to the article to take it to AfD. I am not surprised to have the question arise, though. I have seen other administrators treat expired PRODs as binding, and delete identical recreations. I disagree with this approach, but my general attitude is to avoid outright conflict over such things. Anyway, I'll allow the article to remain, and clearly tag it as a contested PROD, so the matter will be obvious for everyone. Best wishes, Xoloz (talk) 20:52, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of THE ALPHA COMPLEX PAGE?
We have references but when I posted them it said it is not accepted. There is no reason to delete the page as my other bands have pages. - Are you inserting banned links? Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. OccultZone (Talk) 06:16, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
No. I finally figured out the reference thing. I have more references coming and media sources to report on the band. If you delete this page it will greatly hinder the band as this is a resource for Pandora and other sites that want information on the band. 4:26PM PST 6/2/2014 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:30A:2E5A:E0F0:21F3:AD6D:3F76:4A0B (talk) 23:26, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

I will have reliable sources soon but that doesn't happen within a week. What is a reliable source? What would put this to rest. I am starting to get fairly bothered as the deletion of this page will disrupt a number of things this band is about to do. PANDORA.com being one of them.
