Whaaaaambulance
HA! I expected this from you Natureium; I saw your large list of edits--often contested, btw--and foresaw you would intrude sooner than later. I was correct. Look, I get it. You in fact proved my KGB/Gestapo analogy: You are a closely knit group of hyper-sensitive "patrollers." You tolerate no dissension nor can see outside the box. Deleting anything remotely considered un-fawning makes it easier to avoid the larger issue and shields you from any kind of dialogue. What's amusing to me is that I really have no dog in the fight. I live in Spain. I am not part of the Stanford project whose links I posted. Just trying to add to the world of information out there, and disease research. So your deletion of a comments means nothing to me--except to confirm my stated observation that indeed, you are like members of ISIS: constituents of a small, fanatical group who demand utter obedience to the organization that they serve, and destroy all references to that which they disagree. ISIS uses explosives; you use the delete key. Power, even in the most banal form such as a Wikipedia patroller, is so intoxicating. Now run along, there are more heretics and infidels to slay! List of scientific misconduct incidents
Can I bug you for an opinion? In editing this article, which of these two, general formats do you think is best:
Joe Shmoe (US), a nuclear physicist, committed plaigarism.(RS) Joe Shmoe. Shmoe, a nuclear physicist working in the US, committed plagiarism.(RS)
Of course if you have another format to suggest, I am all ears/eyes. Thanks. JoJo Anthrax (talk) 01:01, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- I'm not opposed to either, but if someone is looking for information by country, it would be easier for the location to be in parentheses after the name. Natureium (talk) 00:27, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
Administrators' newsletter – March 2018
News and updates for administrators from the past month (February 2018).
- Lourdes†
- AngelOfSadness • Bhadani • Chris 73 • Coren • Friday • Midom • Mike V
- † Lourdes has requested that her admin rights be temporarily removed, pending her return from travel.
- The autoconfirmed article creation trial (ACTRIAL) is scheduled to end on 14 March 2018. The results of the research collected can be read on Meta Wiki.
- Community ban discussions must now stay open for at least 24 hours prior to being closed.
- A change to the administrator inactivity policy has been proposed. Under the proposal, if an administrator has not used their admin tools for a period of five years and is subsequently desysopped for inactivity, the administrator would have to file a new RfA in order to regain the tools.
- A change to the banning policy has been proposed which would specify conditions under which a repeat sockmaster may be considered de facto banned, reducing the need to start a community ban discussion for these users.
- CheckUsers are now able to view private data such as IP addresses from the edit filter log, e.g. when the filter prevents a user from creating an account. Previously, this information was unavailable to CheckUsers because access to it could not be logged.
- The edit filter has a new feature
contains_all
that edit filter managers may use to check if one or more strings are all contained in another given string.
- Following the 2018 Steward elections, the following users are our new stewards: -revi, Green Giant, Rxy, There'sNoTime, علاء.
- Bhadani (Gangadhar Bhadani) passed away on 8 February 2018. Bhadani joined Wikipedia in March 2005 and became an administrator in September 2005. While he was active, Bhadani was regarded as one of the most prolific Wikipedians from India.
Could you help update some BLPs?
Hey Natureium, hope you're doing well. I'm working on updating and improving the articles for a handful of MSK doctors, (currently for Craig B. Thompson and Joan Massagué Solé) and I was wondering if you had time to check out some of my proposed changes. I saw you active on Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and you were very helpful reverting the changes for Howard Scher. I posted on their respective talk pages (Thompson, Massagué) quite awhile ago, but I haven't gotten any feedback there. My focus was on cleaning up the pages, as well as adding in missing refs. Could you take a look if you've got a minute?--FacultiesIntact (talk) 20:23, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Natureium: thank you so so much for your help! I know it was a lot of material to look over, so I really appreciate you taking that time to review it. I've got one more question for you, if I may, regarding Joan Massagué Solé. Do you think that with these new changes it would be appropriate to remove the COI maintenance tag? It was added 3 years ago, and I think the article as it stands today is significantly different from the version that prompted the maintenance tag. (Diff here.) Thanks again!--FacultiesIntact (talk) 02:47, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
- Sure. Natureium (talk) 06:28, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
Glad to see someone is watching the article. I'm trying to fix the use of DISPLAYTITLE and after I made the change, I was walking through the history and found that the article and references appear to be inconsistent as to whether there is a space after the methyl and whether there is a hyphen prior to the O. Could you please take a look at making the article consistent? Naraht (talk) 15:50, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- In my experience, methyltransferase is more common (and has 5000 results on pubmed vs 800, and even more extreme on clinicalkey, with 5300 vs 38), although I believe either could be accepted. However, when you changed it, it was displaying with an underscore between methyl and transferase. It seems to also be more common with a hyphen on both sides of the O, although I think both are accepted as well. I can't search that because the hyphens aren't respected by the search engine. Natureium (talk) 15:56, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, I messed that up by including the underscore instead of space. But glad this has come to at least two user's attention who know more about the subject than I.Naraht (talk) 17:12, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
Uncvility and personal attacks
On Talk:List of school shootings in the United States, you've accused me of POV pushing without evidence, and you've labelled a list of criteria as a "tutorial", insinuating that I'm incapable of reading and understanding for myself. If you continue this sort of behavior, I'll ask for sanctions at WP:ANI. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 19:59, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- You can ask for whatever you want. Arguing for inclusion of something that doesn't fit the inclusion criteria in a politically charged list is POV-pushing. "Tutorial" doesn't mean you are incapable of reading. It means that I broke down the criteria in a way that demonstrates what is and isn't inclusion criteria. Natureium (talk) 20:02, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- That someone disagrees with you over what fits the inclusion criteria is not POV-pushing. You also said I was warned over it previously, which isn't true. Please retract this claim. If it were, I could turn it around and say that you are POV-pushing by trying to have an entry removed despite it clearly fitting the inclusion criteria. Calling your table a "tutorial" is patronizing. In this case, the content is also potentially dishonest, as you've left out "mass" in the one place where it matters, despite it clearly being in the text, and my insistence that this incident qualifies for the list since it's not a "mass shooting by...". –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 20:12, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- You can start a request for comment on the inclusion criteria if you'd like. Natureium (talk) 20:17, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

Clarification of wording of Barbara's topic ban
Sandstein has closed the User:Barbara (WVS) ANI discussion with a topic ban worded "is topic-banned (WP:TBAN) from medical articles". Following discussion with Sandstein regarding the scope of that topic ban (User_talk:Sandstein#What_the_topic_ban_covers), it is felt that further wording is required. Therefore it is proposed that the wording of the topic ban is amended to read:
"By consensus of the community, Barbara (WVS) (talk · contribs), also editing as Bfpage (talk · contribs), is topic-banned (WP:TBAN) from health and medical topics, including anatomy and sexuality, broadly construed, and is also banned from interacting with Flyer22 (talk · contribs) (WP:IBAN)."

Contest Deletion of Tellius
Hello Natureium,
I would like to contest the deletion of Tellius page. This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is an informative page just like any other SaaS software vendors in the analytics market. Gartner is calling this next generation of Analytics disruption as Augmented Analytics. If you search wikipedia, you will see similar pages from other software vendors like Thoughtspot, SiSense, Zoomdata, etc. It would be fair to have an page for Tellius as well. I've added additional references about the company, funding, investors, team, releases, news etc.
If possible please let me know how or what I need to do to make sure that the page stay up so that it will be fair to users who search for analytics, business intelligence, augmented analytics, business analytics, saas software, etc.
Also, Looks like this page was marked for deletion in 2007 as the earlier reason for deletion was that Tellius was an imaginary location, fictional world, etc. But now, Tellius is a company that develops business intelligence and analytics software and is headquartered in Reston, Virginia.

Speedy deletion nomination of Bulgarian Wine Report".
This page should not be speedily deleted because this just simple information about creation date and the information about who created the web media. I believe people from all over the world should know some facts about the Bulgarian wine report. New Page Review Newsletter No.10
ACTRIAL:
- ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.
Paid editing
- Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.
Subject-specific notability guidelines
- The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
- Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies. A further discussion is currently taking place at: Can a subject specific guideline invalidate the General Notability Guideline?
Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled
- While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.
News
- The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. The Signpost is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. Administrators' newsletter – April 2018
News and updates for administrators from the past month (March 2018).
- 331dot • Cordless Larry • ClueBot NG
- Gogo Dodo • Pb30 • Sebastiankessel • Seicer • SoLando
- Administrators who have been desysopped due to inactivity are now required to have performed at least one (logged) administrative action in the past 5 years in order to qualify for a resysop without going through a new RfA.
- Editors who have been found to have engaged in sockpuppetry on at least two occasions after an initial indefinite block, for whatever reason, are now automatically considered banned by the community without the need to start a ban discussion.
- The notability guideline for organizations and companies has been substantially rewritten following the closure of this request for comment. Among the changes, the guideline more clearly defines the sourcing requirements needed for organizations and companies to be considered notable.
- The six-month autoconfirmed article creation trial (ACTRIAL) ended on 14 March 2018. The post-trial research report has been published. A request for comment is now underway to determine whether the restrictions from ACTRIAL should be implemented permanently.
- There will soon be a calendar widget at Special:Block, making it easier to set expiries for a specific date and time.
- The Arbitration Committee is considering a change to the discretionary sanctions procedures which would require an editor to appeal a sanction to the community at WP:AE or WP:AN prior to appealing directly to the Arbitration Committee at WP:ARCA.
- A discussion has closed which concluded that administrators are not required to enable email, though many editors suggested doing so as a matter of best practice.
- The Foundations' Anti-Harassment Tools team has released the Interaction Timeline. This shows a chronologic history for two users on pages where they have both made edits, which may be helpful in identifying sockpuppetry and investigating editing disputes.

Speedy deletion contested: Nathdwara Railway Station
Hello Natureium, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Nathdwara Railway Station, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: It's a place (as well as a company, admittedly), and therefore passses WP:GEOFEAT. . Albert Krause Article Nominated for Deletion Albert_Krause
I am the great grandson of Albert Krause, artist and sculptor. Thank you for the note. I have made edits to include a reference (documentation) for one of his works of art. I have removed anything pertaining to a work of art that cites specific locations that we cannot support at this time. Please let me know of other changes that are required to keep this page. I would like to continue adding noted work as I obtain further documentation. Thank you. Detty1024 (talk) 12:56, 10 April 2018 (UTC) Detty1024
- @Detty1024: Thanks for trying to improve this article. We need secondary sources about his work to show that he is a notable artist. WP:ARTIST can give some examples. It's also considered a COI to create an article you have a personal connection to, so be aware of these guideline on that page as well. Natureium (talk) 14:56, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Natureium: This is great info. Thanks for sharing. I have uploaded a pic of his obituary and will search for anything else that would confirm that he was a sculptor. I was hoping the Thank You letter from John_Wanamaker would help my case. Let me know if some of the documents provided are sufficient to at least save this page from deletion. Thanks again for your help on this.
- @Detty1024: I've removed the proposed deletion tag. I believe these references show notability, but it would be helpful if you could cite things like where the obituary was published, if you have that information. Natureium (talk) 15:49, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Natureium: That's fantastic! I will certainly try to locate a full copy of the obituary so that we can confirm. Thanks again for your help. Detty1024 (talk) 15:58, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Aboriginal Australian religion
Hello Natureium
I see you reviewed Aboriginal Australian religion and nominated it for speedy deletion .. with thanks for notifying me on my talk page by the way ..
.. noting that while it is some time since I have been active on Wikipedia, I made substantial contribution to the original Aboriginal Australian mythology article that I found being poorly converted into and pretending to be an article about Aboriginal Australian religion which, in fact, deserves whole article on it's own which I would love, if had time, to assist work up/ work on should time permit
.. therefore giving reasons that the newly recreated Aboriginal Australian religion article should NOT be deleted here Talk:Aboriginal_Australian_religion .. hoping you find the reasoning sufficient .. also noting I myself have attempted to nominate Australian Aboriginal religion and mythology for deletion should you be able to assist for the reasons outlined? Natureium-Thanks for the five big re-writes on the article I started. For the record I agree with 4 out of 5. Since we are now officially co-authors can I get a "keep" from you in the articles for deletion page for this article? GuinnessFreak (talk) 01:49, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- I've tried to clean up the article and make it somewhat less promotional and more factual. Whether or not to keep an article is based on wikipedia guidelines. If reputable sources can be found that support the notability of the subject, the article should be kept. Natureium (talk) 03:11, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- Natureium - The article was flagged for deletion for being promotional, not a notability problem. If you think there's a notability problem you should flag it for deletion accordingly. The article was only flagged for being promotional. Also note there are 58K FACS and approximately 12K FACOG. The number that have both is quite low, less than 200 by my estimate. I thought "few" was a good estimate. GuinnessFreak (talk) 04:11, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- When brought to AfD, the article is reviewed according to all wikipedia policies, not just the original tag. Promotional articles often have concerns relating to notability. Natureium (talk) 13:43, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Contested deletion of Root Insurance Company
Hi Natureium,
Thank you for alerting me about the contested deletion. I have revised wording that may have appeared promotional and have backed up all statistics and quotes with reputable external citations. Can you please help me identify which sections or words are too promotional? I've seen very similar language on similar content sites so I'm confused about how to make it sound less promotional when it's simply describing the business model with verified sources. I'll be happy to adjust. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello. It appears your talk page is becoming quite lengthy and is in need of archiving. According to Wikipedia's user talk page guidelines; "Large talk pages become difficult to read, strain the limits of older browsers, and load slowly over slow internet connections. As a rule of thumb, archive closed discussions when a talk page exceeds 75 KB or has multiple resolved or stale discussions." - this talk page is 111.2 KB. The California Lawyers Association has nearly 100,000 members, and is the second largest bar association (second only to the American Bar Association), and is larger than other volunteer bar associations featured in Wikipedia, including:
New York State Bar Association (Lawyer Society) https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/New_York_State_Bar_Association
State Bar of Texas (Lawyer Society) https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/State_Bar_of_Texas
The Florida Bar (Lawyer Regulator) https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/The_Florida_Bar
Given the size and the reach of the second largest voluntary bar association, I was surprised that there wss not an existing Wiki entry. The movement to create the California Lawyers Association and peel it off from the State Bar of California was a significant event:

Speedy deletion contested: Arcadia Biosciences
Hello Natureium, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Arcadia Biosciences, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: This company might be notable. I may be able to find some references. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 00:20, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

DYK for Donald Seldin
On 13 May 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Donald Seldin, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Donald Seldin transformed the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center from a dilapidated barracks into a world-class medical center with five Nobel laureates? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Donald Seldin. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Donald Seldin), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hi Natureium. Thanks for reviewing the page I created. I updated the text from NDP press that you flagged, and believe the tone is impartial and references are backed up. If there are any changes that you'd suggest or additions that I could make, I'd be happy to work on them. NPR Newsletter No.11 25 May 2018
ACTRIAL:
- WP:ACREQ has been implemented. The flow at the feed has dropped back to the levels during the trial. However, the backlog is on the rise again so please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day; a backlog approaching 5,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.
Deletion tags
- Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders. They require your further verification.
Backlog drive:
- A backlog drive will take place from 10 through 20 June. Check out our talk page at WT:NPR for more details. NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.
Editathons
- There will be a large increase in the number of editathons in June. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.
Paid editing - new policy
- Now that ACTRIAL is ACREQ, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. There is a new global WMF policy that requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.
Subject-specific notability guidelines
- The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
- Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies.
Not English
- A common issue: Pages not in English or poor, unattributed machine translations should not reside in main space even if they are stubs. Please ensure you are familiar with WP:NPPNE. Check in Google for the language and content, tag as required, then move to draft if they do have potential.
News
- Development is underway by the WMF on upgrades to the New Pages Feed, in particular ORES features that will help to identify COPYVIOs, and more granular options for selecting articles to review.
- The next issue of The Signpost has been published. The newspaper is one of the best ways to stay up to date with news and new developments. between our newsletters.

Page Mover granted
I asked User:TonyBallioni about this, and he said it was all right to go ahead. Per your January request and your recent comment at the Signpost discussion I assume you are still interested.
Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, and move subpages when moving the parent page(s).
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.
Useful links:
- Wikipedia:Requested moves
- Category:Articles to be moved, for article renaming requests awaiting action.
If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing!
Tony's advice is to use RM instead of a round-robin for anything controversial. As for myself, I have quite a few edits at WP:RMTR but I've never given out the page mover right before, so I hope it is uneventful and works as expected. Let me know of any problems. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 22:42, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – June 2018
News and updates for administrators from the past month (May 2018).
- None
- Al Ameer son • AliveFreeHappy • Cenarium • Lupo • MichaelBillington
- Following a successful request for comment, administrators are now able to add and remove editors to the "event coordinator" group. Users in the event coordinator group have the ability to temporarily add the "confirmed" flag to new user accounts and to create many new user accounts without being hindered by a rate limit. Users will no longer need to be in the "account creator" group if they are in the event coordinator group.
- Following an AN discussion, all pages with content related to blockchain and cryptocurrencies, broadly construed, are now under indefinite general sanctions.
- IP-based cookie blocks should be deployed to English Wikipedia in June. This will cause the block of a logged-out user to be reloaded if they change IPs. This means in most cases, you may no longer need to do /64 range blocks on residential IPv6 addresses in order to effectively block the end user. It will also help combat abuse from IP hoppers in general. For the time being, it only affects users of the desktop interface.
- The Wikimedia Foundation's Anti-Harassment Tools team will build granular types of blocks in 2018 (e.g. a block from uploading or editing specific pages, categories, or namespaces, as opposed to a full-site block). Feedback on the concept may be left at the talk page.
- There is now a checkbox on Special:ListUsers to let you see only users in temporary user groups.
- It is now easier for blocked mobile users to see why they were blocked.
- A recent technical issue with the Arbitration Committee's spam filter inadvertently caused all messages sent to the committee through Wikipedia (i.e. Special:EmailUser/Arbitration Committee) to be discarded. If you attempted to send an email to the Arbitration Committee via Wikipedia between May 16 and May 31, your message was not received and you are encouraged to resend it. Messages sent outside of these dates or directly to the Arbitration Committee email address were not affected by this issue.
- In early May, an unusually high level of failed login attempts was observed. The WMF has stated that this was an "external effort to gain unauthorized access to random accounts". Under Wikipedia policy, administrators are required to have strong passwords. To further reinforce security, administrators should also consider enabling two-factor authentication. A committed identity can be used to verify that you are the true account owner in the event that your account is compromised and/or you are unable to log in.
You just Nominated ILL SMITH for Deletion
I am devastated you led to the deletion of this page. Your reasons were vague and non-specific. You were not even able to identify anything that was promotional in nature. I appreciate what you are doing here as a wiki editor but you barely consider providing detailed information that would help people contribute to Wikipedia accordingly. You are not helping the Wikipedia community by just doing what your power allows. Most of the articles posted here are in the best interest of the entire community. I would really appreciate if you spared some time to talk to me. We all need each other and we commit to observing all rules.
Marie Canavaggia notability guidelines
Dear Naturium, I'm confused by your usage of the notability tag on the page I created about Marie Canavaggia, which is a first for me. It is, essentially, my translation of the equivalent French-language Wikipedia version which has existed for seven years. Can you please clarify? Thank you. Dm4244 (talk) 15:51, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- I can't read or access most of the references, so I'm hoping that someone else can and will be able to tell if the references are about her (which would show notability), or if they merely mention her in the context of someone else. Most of the reference titles have another person's name on them, so this adds to my confusion. If you believe that there is enough information focusing on her, you can go ahead and remove the notability tag. Natureium (talk) 17:33, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reply and I am confident about removing the tag. M.Canavaggia was unique at the time in championing English-language authors.Dm4244 (talk) 10:50, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

Your request at WP:CHU/S
Regarding this request. Why not write to WP:RFO. As an admin I can delete revisions but I don't know how to get rid of bad usernames. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 19:03, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
- That's why I've posted at the changing usernames board. I'm fairly certain it's not an oversight thing, but I guess if one of the renamers declines my request, I'll look elsewhere. Natureium (talk) 19:23, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, you renaming request has been rejected because it was not formatted correctly. If you still want to change username, then you have to file another request, for a more private request you can choose first way in all four listed at changing username. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 01:54, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hello Natureium. I see that the global renamer took the request off the board but the account with the attack name is still there. I wrote to WP:RFO to see if they can suppress it. EdJohnston (talk) 01:57, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

- No luck with Oversight. They suggested it didn't fall within their mandate. I can't find any advice on deletion of horrible user names. Your complaint is (I guess) that the bad name shows up in Special:ListUsers when looking for your own name. Of course, the beginning of the listing of Special:ListUsers is full of rather obscene stuff that stays there forever. There was a proposal at WP:VPT in 2008 by User:BD2412 to do something about it but it didn't proceed. EdJohnston (talk) 17:46, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
- If there were ever a time for IAR is is here. Natureium do you mind if I post at AN and say the offensive name there? That should focus attention and perhaps getting more heads on this can solve it. Jytdog (talk) 18:04, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
- @EdJohnston: It shows up whenever I type my name in as the performer to look up any logs, and I always wonder what I did to make them mad enough to do that. @Jytdog: I don't mind. I find it funny that someone revdelled my request at CHU presumably because it was offensive, but not offensive enough to change. Natureium (talk) 18:15, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
