Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you.
- Please see the result of the edit warring case at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Middayexpress reported by User:Ackees (Result: Both warned). Admins may block one or both of you if the war continues. You should not make any edits that assume an answer to the question whether Somalis are black until a consensus has been reached on a suitable talk page. An WP:RFC is one way to ensure a decisive answer. If necessary you can ask for admin to close the RFC. RFCs can address multiple questions at the same time if needed. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 03:15, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
Somalis DO NOT reject Arabs
Hi Middayexpress,
Sadly I have seen it the change that the editor has made, its pure wrong of him to do that, I strongly believe that Somalis never rejected being associated with arabs, to call otherwise to totally politicly motivated which is wrong,
Somalis tend to associate with arabs as many of the clans originated from Arabia, also religion and language wise, we tend to associate with Arabs than any other race.
I have seen the editors edit and the evidence editor produced which is a personal, a young Somali writer's opinion can not be evidence for entire argument. In reality it would have been better to be in impartial in this and I notice the changes is more of a political in term of rejecting our association with Arabs.
I feel the editor is just trying hard to justify his own thinking which I again I reject with any hesitation, againg the usage the term of Black does not mean we are disliking to be associated with Arabs, many Arabia are blacks as well, Yemanis, Omanis and some in gulf countries are Black, so those can not be said Black African even thought historically they may from Africa.
We always have been black in term of the colour of our skin but we like to be identified in term of race as Somalis, I dont think this point cant be that difficult for this editor to accept!
I do not know any other Somali individual whoever rejected our association with Arabs, never in my entire life have I heard such argument, maybe Ayan Hirsi for her argument against Islam or so, but not any one else.
I hope this sheds light on this issue, drop me a msg if needed more inputs Abdirisak (talk) 01:43, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- Yep, I have noticed, its strange, very strange to be honest, I have left my say at the talk bit, I think we should remove the sub-heading of Somalis and their relationship with other Blacks in UK, I cant see the point.

Somalis in South Africa
Hello Middayexpress;
I have created new entry for Somalis in South Africa, its basic, I am thinking editing bit by bit so I was wondering if you can contribute to this page as well?
cheers Abdirisak (talk) 11:51, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
Re:Black British cats, etc.
Hello,
Yes I Just had added an entry to Black British section, It obvious that the term is associated with blacks from West Indies and not even with Africans from West Africa let alone from those of East and Horn of Africa.

Somali Postal Service
I see that you have twice removed information about current postal services, possibly inadvertently. I have put it back. Do you feel that this information is not important to the article? I acknowledge that it is unsourced but I am sure that most readers will want to know whether you can actual send a letter to or from Somalia. It seems important to the article. I was actually asked to create this article by someone who wanted to know that. I should be interested to hear your views. Thanks, Philafrenzy (talk) 18:08, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 14
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Abdi Yusuf Hassan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kuria (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Rejoin Ethiopia WikiProject
I would like to invite you to rejoin the Ethiopia WikiProject. I have made significant changes to the project page and completely redesigned the project. I have moved all members to an inactive list. Therefore, we need old members to comeback and reestablish their active roll in this project.
I would also encourage you to join one of the "Departments" of the project by adding you name to its members page. I have started with the outreach department myself but you are welcome to jump start any of the other 8 (9 total) departments available or join me. I would recommend the people and culture department (WP:ETHP). And of course, thank you! For your many contributions to Ethiopia-related articles አቤል ዳዊት (Janweh) (talk) 08:32, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
