- The recent edit was not based on relevant substance rather an opinion. Please refrain from adding personal opinions on the article page, especially if the topic has been visited previously on a conversation. Thanks. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 18:10, 29 January 2023 (UTC)
- Do not restore the information you readded until you have a clear, unambiguous statement that does not require piecing together information that this person competed in the Olympics(which would differ from all available sources about the Tokyo karate competition which state no Indians competed for a medal). See WP:BLP. 331dot (talk) 21:33, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
- The source which provide statement for his attendance have been provided and are within the WP policies of accepted sources. No piecing is needed here. Hence, all unverified and hearsay-esque information will be reverted according to WP: Verification. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 06:55, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- No, you haven't, and if you think you have, that is a problem. 331dot (talk) 09:11, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- There is no scope of "thinking" when the sources are present already. Problem could be lack of depth of information from you. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 09:14, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- Note that "the Olympics" has a specific meaning- a competition to be awarded an Olympic medal. Not a junior event, not a test event in Tokyo at facilities used for the Olympics, not at a different IOC sanctioned event. Karate at the 2020 Summer Olympics says no Indians competed for a medal. India at the 2020 Summer Olympics shows they sent no karate athletes. 331dot (talk) 09:17, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- The citations mentioned by you are cyclic in nature, hence they cannot be corroborated Circular reference. The Olympics is a sporting event under the aegis of IOC. The definition of Olympics or Summer Olympiad can be found under IOC website. Definition of Olympian can be found on WOA website which does not list the "presumed" definition by you. Please correct yourself and curate accordingly. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 09:33, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- My point is the sources used in those articles state that no Indians competed in karate at the Olympics as you claim. Not everything the IOC sanctions is "the Olympics". Your claim that he competed in the Olympics is poorly sourced and as such a violation of WP:BLP. In reading about him, he clearly aspired to be in the Olympics, like many thousands of people, but did not make it. 331dot (talk) 09:41, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- Reading about the person will not make one gain extraordinary information on his performance on the event. The person is a person of note due to his attendance at Olympics. The articles mentioned you do not state explicitly about the participation of India, hence your statement is not a fact but a conjecture which is against Wikipedia:Wikipedia is an encyclopedia definition.
- Not "any" event is being stated in the article but an event of the additional sport of Karate in The Tokyo 2020 Summer Games. Poorly sourced merely as a statement is of little conducive nature on this forum, when no contrary example or definition has been provided. WP Sports were followed and which now includes BLP of Sport in Nature. Hence no violations were seen. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 09:51, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- I don't even know what you are trying to say here. Hundreds of thousands of people "attend" the Olympics, this does not make them Olympians and certainly does not mean they competed for a medal. Perhaps you mean something different by "attend". Please read WP:BLP for more information on poorly sourced statements about living people. If you want the block to be lifted early, please make a request as instructed. 331dot (talk) 10:00, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- The meaning of attend has been cited in the teahouse conversation before, please read all sources of information before reporting actual content writers. The energy is better put to use in productive endeavors rather than being trigger-happy by superficial curation. If you do not understand something or need clarity please write accordingly. Writing that you "simply" dont understand, undermines the quality of administrators on a volunteer driven project like Wiki. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 13:37, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- I'm starting to wonder if you have the requisite skills needed to participate here. You misunderstand several Wikipedia policies(including one of the most important, WP:BLP) and you display WP:IDHT by disregarding what everyone is telling you(not just me) but you think that everyone else is wrong. Anyway, you may make another unblock request for review by someone else. 331dot (talk) 13:51, 1 February 2023 (UTC)

331dot (talk) I would consider your first statement as a personal attack. Citing "misunderstanding" without any substance or corroboration puts your review in question.
- No, it is not a personal attack to question your ability to edit and/or abide by advice the community gives you. This reflects yet another misunderstanding of policies. I really have nothing else to say about this. 331dot (talk) 09:20, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- The policies have been and are firm from the start. There is no scope of misunderstanding of WP policies on such a forum. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 10:04, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
AfC notification: Draft:Bhaskar Sen has a new comment
[edit]- Thank you for your comments on my article.
- The page was incorrectly changed without basis, hence the notability was not established through the interviews you cite rather it was due to incorrect editing, they have been reversed and the notability has been established presently.
- The article is written by a person name Mayukh Sen, that is not me. Hence, it is an incorrect presumption.
- Youtube was cited as a means of supporting a peripheral statement, according to guidelines, verified YT accounts are accepted as sources, please refer to AfC help page where this contention was dealt with. The video is of a Nation Broadcast recording by the National Government.

[edit]Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Draft:Bhaskar Sen. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. This [1] is a personal attack. Theroadislong (talk) 08:03, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- The edit has been sufficiently indexed with comment on previous edit, no personal remarks have been made, please check previous interaction with the editor on Teahouse page. The comment statement is sufficiently proven. No comment on personal capabilities have been made through the edit. Hence, no violation of WP policies have been breached. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 09:17, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Draft:Bhaskar Sen. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 09:09, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- This comment has been made again. In collaborative efforts please provide a response which can be resolved. Mentioning random WP policies will only convolute the contention in question. No sufficient corroboration has been given by your kindself regarding the mis-edits, hence in order to keep WIKI a reliable encyclopedia, false-information edits will be reverted. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 09:20, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- Threatening to edit war is not a good strategy. 331dot (talk) 09:22, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
AfC notification: Draft:Bhaskar Sen has a new comment
[edit]- New comment has been added, the reply is as follows:
- first link is to the National games page of the NOC, shows no relation to the article in question. Hence, mentioning him is irrelevant.
- second link is about Qualification Guideline which was again revised at a later date. Again, shows no relation to the article in question. Hence, mentioning him is irrelevant.
- third link is his sportdata page which lists the tournaments he participated which made him qualify, subsequently Olympics do not come under the aegis of WKF, hence, reference of Olympic on Qualifying tournament list is irrelevant.
- fourth is the corroborative evidence taken from the article, the commenter has been clarified that author is not the same as article creator. "puplish"?.... This conjecture or probe goes against the Wikipedia:Etiquette, please be cautious.

Request reason:
An administrator blocked this account citing insufficient and irrelevant WP policies which are presently under discussion. When asked about possible reasoning and counter response, same template-like replies were provided. Under the reasons of unreliable and unsupported claims from the blocker, please revert accordingly Mayukhsenkar (talk) 09:58, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Much of what you say is incomprehensible, but the following facts are unambiguous: (1) you have repeatedly posted statements about a living person which are not supported by the references you have provided; (2) you have been blocked from editing for doing so; (3) your unblock request does not address those two points. JBW (talk) 11:00, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
JBW (talk) The unblock request reasoning was of the same measure of reasoning when blocking was done. Therefore, 1. repeatedly correctly sourced and curated statements have been written on the article which has been reverted by the blocker for frivolous reasons. The unblock request contains the forum where active discussion was in progress. 2. If what I say is incomprehensible, a WIKI volunteer (you) are supposed to provide valid reasons where and what is incomprehensible. Please check https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Conflicting_sources to see when volunteers bulldoze active discussion driven articles by unilaterally editing. Each edit by me was justified with reasons and comments. The blocker does not provide any evidence of violation. Hence, the block shall me removed expeditiously.
- As you did not sign the above post, it did not ping JBW. Sources are not in conflict, they clearly show this man did not compete in the Tokyo Olympics and was not on the Indian Olympic Team. These are not hard things to find out (especially if it is anything like the US Olympic Team which has a complete list of its members) but you haven't offered proof of this. If you persist after the block expires, the next one will be much longer. 331dot (talk) 13:56, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
331dot (talk) The sources clearly DO NOT show he did not compete, I think my comment on your curation ability hurt your personally. I doubt a forum like WIKI will appreciate an emotional reviewer and administrator running day to day errands. Nothing is hard to find out with reasonable curation, which may be a difficult thing to do for some people but not me. Your analogy of Indian NOC having parallels to USOC shows the shallow depth of knowledge about which you have been making haphazard and hyperbolic responses. Comments which sound like a rant are not part of WP policy. Sources mentioned by me in Teahouse discussion clearly showed the archive page where he was endorsed by NOC. But since you have made polar opposite claims before and conflicting statements please check https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Conflicting_sources. I would like to remind you threatening for a block after making a personal attack, will have consequences which will not be pleasant.
- Please remember to sign your posts, This [2] shows that he did NOT partake and your further personal attacks will only lead to longer blocks. Theroadislong (talk) 09:09, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- "Endorsed by" is not the same thing as "on the team". The Boston Red Sox have several lower-level affiliate teams, but players on those teams are not considered members of the Boston Red Sox. Okay, I have no more to say. 331dot (talk) 09:25, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- Please read the Olympic Charter on the definition of endorsement for Olympics. Boston RS is a part of baseball sport which is outside the Olympics realm hence outside the scope of this discussion. Seems like commenters here have a real hounding mentality Please read WP:Hounding, this could be detrimental if taken seriously. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 10:02, 5 February 2023 (UTC)

- The PDF you share is of PARIS OQ Tournament!! I am sorry but I hope you know the difference between Olympic and Olympic Qualification. And if you dont please message privately, I would be happy to educate and enlighten you on the same. There is no personal attack on sharing knowledge. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 10:00, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
@Mayukhsenkar "sources clearly DO NOT show he did not compete". That's backwards, isn't it? There are a LOT of things that the sources do not show, and we don't want to include those things in the article. David10244 (talk) 10:15, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

Use of talk page while blocked
[edit]It is usual to allow a blocked editor to retain the ability to edit their own talk page, in order that they can post an unblock request. You have done that once, but apart from that you have used talk page access to post totally unsuitable material, including personal attacks on other editors, and messages which convey nothing except that you either can't or won't listen to what others say to you. If you continue to use talk page access for unsuitable purposes, that access may be removed. JBW (talk) 11:10, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- When a sufficiently sourced reason for unblock was given and the request was denied for frivolous reasons, it warrants an explanation and a counter. Giving counters is part of a healthy community and is also advertised in the WIKI: Golden Rules, therefore such a talk page access was in place. On the other hand "personal" attacks have been cited numerous times by such administrators without a well-sourced reasoning. "unsuitable" material has not been corroborated. Again, please read WP:Hounding as the consequences could be detrimental in due course. Mayukhsenkar (talk) 10:09, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
