Thank you for your time at the teahouse! Gumshoe97 (talk) 00:20, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
Thank You So Much

- Please don't use this account or create any other accounts to edit Wikipedia. Get your other account unblocked first and then use that account to ask for help. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:36, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
- Ok Sir i will not edit anything from this account, i only have one last question, please guide me with that if possible, My article Vivek Verma is banned and blocked so if i am eligible now why can't someone create it!!? And other question is this sir that if wp:G5 is a Wikipedia based criteria then so are wp:gng and wp:musicbio so if someone meets the criterion to pass it but is having a G5 issue how cum some will make it in future? They will be blocked too stating that the user eho is trying to create the page is a sock puppet!! Kusnur (talk) 04:51, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
- Don't use this account anymore and don't create any more new accounts. Go to the original account you were using and post the above questions there on its user talk page. The first thing you should do before anything else is ask what you need to do to get unblocked. Once your account has been unblocked, then ask about the article you're trying to create. If for some reason you can no longer log into your original account, please read and follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Unblock Ticket Request System and request that you're account be unblocked by email. That's the only advice I'm going to give you at this time. Please don't use this account or any other accounts to post anywhere on Wikipedia again because doing so only makes things worse for you and increases the chances that your original account won't be unblocked. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:56, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

Notice of Neutral Point of View Noticeboard discussion
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Neutral_point_of_view/Noticeboard. Thank you.Everettstern (talk) 01:06, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the message. I do not want to be careless in my photo uploads. I appreciate your advice regarding the photo. Happy Holidays. Lightburst (talk) 15:49, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
- I didn't think you were being careless; I just noticed a potential license conflict that would've most likely eventually been also noticed by a bot which probably would've then probably added a notification about it to your user talk page. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:20, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
Happy holidays
Interstellarity (talk) is wishing you Happy Holidays! This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user Happy Holidays, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Happy New Year!
Spread the cheer by adding {{subst:Happy holidays}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
- Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:04, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
Edit conflict.
Wikipedia does not notify if others are editing. It is always a surprise! User-duck (talk) 08:16, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

Image Usage
Thank you so much for helping me to understand. I have viewed many images to familiarize myself with nonfree and free-to-use... I think I've got it now. Uniformcharlie886 (talk) 18:55, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
- You're welcome. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:16, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
- One more thing...I'd like to make my user page private; for only people that I want viewing it. Is that possible? Do I need to create a "normal" page to do that? Can you point me in the right direction? Where do I go to learn all this stuff? Again, thank you so much for your assistance! Uniformcharlie886 (talk) 22:04, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
- The first thing you should probably read is WP:UP#OWN. Although we as editors often say "my user page" or "Editor ABC’s user talk page", etc. implying some kind of ownership/possession, a user doesn't own their user page in the sense that they can make it private or lock it so as to prevent others they don't approve of from viewing it or editing it. For the most part, users are given some leeway when it comes to "their" user pages, but a user page is like any Wikipedia page in that it can be edited by anyone at anytime. Most experienced editors will refrain from doing so unless there's some clear policy or guideline violation that requires attention and a user page can be protected by an administrator if there's a really good reason for doing so (e.g. WP:VANDAL, WP:HARASS, WP:DE), but you cannot hide it from public view or otherwise stop certain persons from seeing it. So, please look at WP:REALWORLD because anything you post anywhere on Wikipedia can be pretty much seen by anyone anywhere in the world. Even if you delete it from a page, it's still there in the page history. If you've posted something too personal or that you perhaps now didn't think was a great idea and want to get it "expunged" from public view, you can try emailing WP:OVERSIGHT. An oversighter has the ability to remove content from a page's history so that it's no longer publicly viewable by pretty much anyone. They only do this in special cases though when they feel it's absolutely necessary. Another option would be to request a WP:REVDEL, this only "hides" the content so that it's no longer publicly viewable, but it can still be seen by administrators. It's sort of like "oversight light" in that the content is still there so to speak, just not publicly viewable. One thing to be careful about when it comes to a user page is WP:UPNO. Many people mistake their user pages for some sort of free personal website which isn't really what it's intended to be per WP:NOTWEBHOST. We're allowed to post some personal content about ourselves on our user pages as a way of introducing ourselves to other Wikipedians, but the main focus is intended to be on our activity on Wikipedia. User pages which start to stray to far from WP:UPYES or which start to look like WP:FAKEARTICLEs often end up tagged or nominated for deletion per WP:U5. We're given a bit of leeway when it comes to content about ourselves, but when we start adding too much of it or start adding content about other subjects (family members, our company, our all-time favorite movies, why we like this person or hate that person, etc.) which aren't really related to our activities on Wikipedia, the chances of the page being tagged for deletion increase. All of those types of things may be fine for Facebook, etc., but a user page isn't really intended to be used like a social media account. I hope that answers your question. — Marchjuly (talk) 23:04, 25 December 2019 (UTC)

In Sayonara Player draft
Sorry for bringing the declined box to the bottom. How does someone see now (with the box on top) that I updated the article entry with new sources and that a new review is requested? Dominic2105 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:908:1A74:4360:C1B8:8A45:92CC:BE46 (talk) 12:31, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hi IP 2A02:908:1A74:4360:C1B8:8A45:92CC:BE46. No, need to apologize, but all Wikipedia pages already have a built in revision/page history so to speak: so, you don't need to add one directly to the draft. The next AfC reviewer will be able to see the time and date of the last AfC review and can check the page's history to see what changes (if any) anyone has made since then if they want to compare the latest version to the one that was reviewed, but they will be reviewing the current version of the draft regardless; so, if you've addressed the issues pointed out by the first reviewer when they declined the draft, they should see that. One other thing, you should to properly WP:SIGN you talk posts; there are a couple of ways you can do this on Wikipedia, but WP:TILDE is probably the easiest one. Adding your name to your posts is optional and you can keep doing that if you want (just remember WP:REALWORLD), but it's not really how we as editors sign our posts. If you want to be identified under a specific user name or don't want you're IP address to be visible to others, you should WP:REGISTER for an account. You can then pick a username of your choosing as long as it's not a problem per WP:IU. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:59, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
Teahouse
There was a thread where an editor mentioned you specifically at WP:Teahouse#Moving Draft, so I thought I should let you know. They tried to ping you, but they didn't sign their comment so it didn't work. Clovermoss (talk) 23:33, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you. I actually saw that post, but really had no idea what it meant; so, I haven't quite figured out how to respond to it. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:54, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
- I think they are reffering to this failed Wikiproject proposal [1], the mention of not editing it is probably because it's a closed discussion. Clovermoss (talk) 01:21, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for clarifying that. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:32, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Sometimes, it isn't always clear what someone is asking, especially in situations like this. Clovermoss (talk) 03:54, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
