It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Ali Zafar. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. About Zardari's sect
In Benazir Bhutto's book "Daughter of Destiny: An Autobiography"(January 1990).On page 30-31, She(Benazir) stated that his husband(Asif Ali Zardari) and family members belongs to Sunni sect. And in Image1 and Image2 he is praying behind Sunni Imam in Sunni style. Do not specify Zardari's sect or atleast donot give wrong information about his sect.SpidErxD (talk) 10:10, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

ANEW
Mar4d, please review my comments at ANEW. You breached WP:3RR. I haven't blocked you but will do so unless you agree to a few conditions. First, you have to accept responsibility for the breach that shows an understanding of how 3RR works because it seems that you don't fully understand it. Second, you have too promise not to edit the article for 3 days. Third, you have to apologize for calling Darkness Shines a liar. You need to respond here or at ANEW. The apology can be at ANEW or at DS's talk page.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:58, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

Arbitration Committee Notice
Dear Mar4d, I wanted you to know that I also got a notice from User:Darkness Shines on my talk page that might look like one that he sent you. You should know that DS placed the banner on my page incorrectly and it makes him look like an administrator. I may have also appeared this way on your page. He is not an administrator. Moreover, it looks as though he is from of Arbitration Committee. Again he is not nor has he ever been a member of Arbitration Committee. Like me, you may have been doing something innocent, but the banner states unfairly, "If you continue to misconduct yourself on pages relating to this topic." This is boilerplate language given to anyone who gets this template. It does not mean in any way that you did something wrong. Furthermore, although there is very little information about this banner, you may remove it from your page. Your name was also listed by DS on a noticeboard. In my case, I believe this is wrong because I'm not interested in editing in this area. You are not being investigated in any way. As a protest I have written a strikethrough mark through my name at the following location. [2] If you are not happy about your treatment by DS or being listed on this noticeboard, then I would encourage you to do the same. I hope I have clarified your situation as I had to find out more about mine and wanted to share the results with you. I wish you good editing in Wikipedia, Crtew (talk) 10:01, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for the notification. I've looked into your claims and what you are saying is apparently true. I must admit I am rather taken aback at seeing my name on the list (no, I had not the faintest of idea that my name was there until you informed me). However, I do remember receiving the banner and had ignored it at that time. I was apparently involved in a content dispute at that time and saw that banner more as an attempted jibe than anything else. But adding names on the arbitration list is taking it a bit too far and I agree that no one but an admin should be considered authoritative enough to review who should be added on that list. DS is not in any position to make an informed decision on listing users there under notice, especially when taking a cursory glance at that list reveals that many of the users he listed were in some ways involved in content disputes with him I think he's misused the template/banner and his arbitrary listing of people is a no-no. For the time being, the only course of action I'm going to take is to remove my name (which shouldn't be there in the first place, at least not by admission of his judgement) from the list as I do not even regard the listing as valid. The misuse of the template remains a cause for concern and I believe if any further actions continue that are concerning, they should be brought to notice of someone in an authoritative position (an admin). - Your name was restored on this notification list earlier today, but later editors took it off the list. Editors agreed that DS had not followed proper procedure and had a COI in that he was not uninvolved and could be using this as a strategy to quash other editors. RE: Sania Nishtar
Hi Mar4d. I'm sorry to say that I cannot restore the article. From it's earliest iterations, it contained substantial text copied directly from [www.sanianishtar.info/pdfs/nishtarcv.pdf Nishtar's online CV] - we cannot restore copyright violations, to userspace or article space, for any length of time. If you want to recreate the article, I'm afraid you're going to have to do it from scratch. Yunshui 雲水 20:53, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Coke Studio (Pakistan season 5). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Coke Studio (Pakistan). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Coke Studio (Pakistan) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Mdann52 (talk) 13:57, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

- I think that we need custom large font for Nastaliq Script(Regarding your edit at Pakistan), since many computers don't support it! The font should be big enough, so that it may be readable! Faizan (talk) 07:35, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- Do you mean to say many computers are not able to display Nastaliq script? Are you sure? If that is the case, how about just using the custom "big" font and getting rid of Nastaliq. Because Nastaliq and Large font combined are really excessive; the writing looks too fat and makes it unnecessarily stand out like an eyesore. Mar4d (talk) 07:38, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- Even those computers which display, don't display it enough big! Anyway! Mar4d! Your Real name? And Can you give me the text which you have put in your preferences for Signature? Just looking for the format!Faizan (talk) 07:41, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- Perhaps, but I think it would be reasonable to assume that most computers do display Nastaliq script. For those whom Nastaliq doesn't work, they can still see the script... it's not that small either (it is certainly readable), especially considering how Arabic and Persian scripts don't even use Nastaliq support or any other font for that matter and are displayed at default level. For Urdu, Nastaliq alone is good enough. And it's not a big deal too I guess since most other articles we have here just use Urdu with Nastaliq. We should follow the common convention, so I think the way it is right now is fine. As for my signature, the format is '''[[User:Mar4d|<font color="green">Mar4d</font>]]''' (replace the 'Mar4d' with your name, and ignore the nowiki). You can paste it into your signature field in your preferences and you'll get the same thing. @PS: We can discuss my name over the mail :) Mar4d (talk) 07:48, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

I agree that they may be over crowding pictures, but you should see that which picture was best suited for the betterment of image of Pakistan, just increasing the number of edits is not justified, and we should see which picture is best for our PAKISTAN. Mir Hazar Khan Khoso
lol! Is khoso supporter of Baloch nationalism? Well the it's a good decision by ECP! Isn't it? Faizan (talk) 14:08, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
- I wouldn't call him a Baloch nationalist in the sense of separatists, but he is generally someone who enjoys a good reputation in Balochistan. See this article, where The Express Tribune says: As a judicial officer, Khoso never indulged in any controversy and kept himself away from politics and while being a judge in the superior courts. Owing to the respect and trust he enjoyed from Baloch nationalist leaders and separatist elements of Balochistan, the ruling party considers him invaluable in bringing disgruntled elements to unity. So in short, yes, he is a notable Baloch figure and having a Baloch prime minister certainly gives some attention to the 'Balochistan factor'. Mar4d (talk) 14:12, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Bilal Khan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Gaijin42 (talk) 14:10, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
March 2013
Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Gaijin42 (talk) 14:16, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- Sadly, from an administrative standpoint Gaijin42 is correct. You were the creator of the article (yes, back in 2010), and as one of the major contributors since that time you should probably not have tried removing it. Regardless, I have declined the speedy deletion tag. The article would need to go through a full afd at this point. Regards, Syrthiss (talk) 14:31, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- Fair enough. It's just that I saw the speedy tag as irrational, especially as the subject is quite notable. Sometimes, a simple Google search helps before making rash 'speedies' like the editor above did. Mar4d (talk) 14:35, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- The article has been created multiple times, and been subject to AFD deletions that were heavily sockpuppeted. Excuse me if I don't give such an article the benefit of the doubt. The subject of this article is still borderline, and I may re-nominate for AFD. Being on a reality show, and having some OSTs is does not satisfy WP:MUSICBIO IMO. Gaijin42 (talk) 14:41, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- I disagree. Just because a sock created the article does not mean the article cannot be recreated should adequate citations exist. And there is significant coverage - it's just not in the article. And the 'reality show' that you refer to is not just an ordinary one; Coke Studio (Pakistan) is one of the most popular musical series in Asia and the artists who feature on it are among the nation's best. Mar4d (talk) 14:44, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- Similarly so for American Idol (or any nation's Idol), X-Factor, etc. There is strong consensus that being on a reality show is not sufficient to show notability, no matter the reputation of the show. Gaijin42 (talk) 14:48, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- I have no comments on the notability of American Idol or X-Factor participants. I am only talking about the article of this subject. And as I have assured, there is significant coverage of the subject of this BLP in several sources. The subject is not notable "just" because of being on a reality show, if that's what you think. Lemme dig up a few sources and copy paste em' here. Mar4d (talk) 14:52, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

you would be better to copy and paste them into the article. Gaijin42 (talk) 14:56, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) I believe he wanted to run them by you and see if they helped settle your concerns before adding them to the article. You could probably be less condescending (as could I, just now). Syrthiss (talk) 15:00, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- I nominated it for AFD so we can get a wider consensus, and will withdraw myself from the discussion, as I think the significant bad history could cloud my judgement. Condecension aside, do add the sources to the article if they are available, as I am not confident that the current sourcing satisfies WP:MUSICBIO or WP:GNG Gaijin42 (talk) 15:30, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

Urdu article requests
Do you do article requests in the Urdu language? WhisperToMe (talk) 08:46, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- "article requests"? Faizan (talk) 08:48, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- @WhisperToMe: Could you clarify? Regards, Mar4d (talk) 08:50, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- As in write a short stub on a certain topic in Urdu. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK has a website in Urdu here https://www.gov.uk/government/announcements.ur and a former one here: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.fco.gov.uk/ur/ - Since the office seems to have activity in Pakistan, I think it would be useful if there was an Urdu language article on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Thanks WhisperToMe (talk) 09:14, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I'm not an active editor at the Urdu Wikipedia. However, I do know a user there who does an excellent job translating articles/categories from the English Wikipedia to the Urdu Wikipedia and vice versa. I'll ask him to volunteer. Cheers, Mar4d (talk) 09:18, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Well, I think that that category is for the list of governors, not for the article of governor of Balochistan! What do you say? Faizan (talk) 12:18, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
- See WP:EPON, the article Governor of Balochistan, Pakistan serves as what we call the "main article" of the Category:Governors of Balochistan, Pakistan. Also see Template:Cat main and you'll know what I mean. Mar4d (talk) 12:34, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Human rights abuses in Kashmir
Mar4d, some of what you say in here is an unwarranted attack on Mrt3366. If you think Mrt3366 is a typical hardcore fundamentalist/nationalist POV-pusher you need to back that up with clear diffs and to take the issue to ANI or an RfC. Personal statements about an editor without supporting evidence are not acceptable. Please strike out those comments (including nough evidences already on your blatant POV-pushing and smokescreen) or back them up. Regards. --regentspark (comment) 14:02, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
- My comment applies to all recent editing on various articles by Mrt3366 that can be considered tendentious. That includes his POV onslaught at Gilgit-Baltistan, K2, Nanga Parbat articles, his persistent biased encouragement of other nationalist editors over more trivial things, his mind-boggling opinion that human rights in Balochistan and Sindh are somehow "related" to Kashmir and the Indo-Pakistan conflict and should be listed in the 'see-also' section and his subsequent policy of double standards when the same yardstick is applied to Indian HRV articles by adding them in the same section (and what's more, he calls my edit "pointy"!). He's a tendentious nationalist editor all right. And this is just a log of recent edits, if I were to go back and scrutinize his activities since he started editing, I'd have a museum of diffs already. He also seems to have this strange personal obsession about calling me 'Pakistani' everywhere, including one instance where he called me a "typical Paki" and now yet again at your talk page in a demeaning manner That Pakistani Mar4d wrote... I may or may not carry a Pakistani passport, who the hell is he to know? For all I know, my simply calling him a "fundamentalist/nationalist POV-pusher" is too loose as I can address him by what he most likely is too. I think I've given him far too much loose rope and if he continues with this, I am going to report him. Mar4d (talk) 00:58, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
- I see now that this is not one sided. I've posted a note on the HR in Kashmir talk page warning everyone that they better stick to content. --regentspark (comment) 01:23, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for being able to see the other perspective and for staying balanced. I know it can be frustrating as an admin to have to go through this morass all the time. I appreciate that. Mar4d (talk) 01:35, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

Help required
please see: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Pakistan_Muslim_League_(N)#Islamic_Conservatism
On the main article of Pakistan Muslim League (N) someone has stated that the PMLN's ideology is Islamic conservatism, to my understanding, the link for the citation linked backed to an Indian news website, and it was in the opinion piece section or an author who isn't recognised, so I tagged the claim and link as dubious, as I believe this is original research, and isn't a reliable source as per wiki policy on identifying reliable sources. Wats up?
Heya Mar4d. How your exams going? Can aid me with Anti-Bihari pogroms in Bangladesh? Faizan 05:57, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Good article, I'll start looking at the topic once I'm free ;) Mar4d (talk) 06:17, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- How about changing the title to something more broad, for example Persecution of Biharis in Bangladesh or something along those lines? That way, we can discuss many more pressing human rights issues other than just pogroms (there are quite a few to name, ranging from state negligence of the population, to legal rights and racial discrimination). PMLN
I think ideology section is meant for ideology, not for area of influence or political stronghold and PMLN has never expressed any Punjabi-Nationalist agenda or view. Thanks --Ahmed 313-326 (talk) 14:20, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

- @Ahmed: Actually, there are many sources that show contrary to what you are saying. But whatever, we'll let it go. It's not a big deal. Maybe somewhere in the article body, more can be explained about the party's appeal/stronghold in Punjab province and its Punjabi leanings. Mar4d (talk) 15:27, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
