You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Shalimar Restaurant (chain) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I'm not sure what value Global user page (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:PAGENAME), User CentralAuth (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Special:CentralAuth/PAGENAME), and Sandboxlinkup (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:PAGENAME/sandbox) have.

Correction - I see what value they have, but there are already ways of doing this. Plus, it's much more common to use a wikilink thank a URL for internal links, and much more common to use an interwiki link for links to other Wikimedia Foundation projects.

For example, the "canonical" way to do "Global user page" would be either with an interwiki, mw:User:LightningComplexFire (mw:User:BASEPAGENAME}), or by a URL using either the "fullurl" magic word, https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:LightningComplexFire (), or the "canonicalurl" magic word, https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:LightningComplexFire ().

Centralauth and the sandbox are similar, except use Special:CentralAuth/LightningComplexFire (Special:CentralAuth/BASEPAGENAME) and User:LightningComplexFire/sandbox (User:BASEPAGENAME/sandbox) instead of mw:User:LightningComplexFire (mw:User:BASEPAGENAME}).

You can also use in place of BASEPAGENAME in the examples above, which will substitute the page name as it is right now for the calculated-at-time-of-viewing magic word BASEPAGENAME. On this page it renders as GeometryDashFan12 but unlike the ones above, it will stay that way even if the page is later moved. You can see this for yourself by editing this comment. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:17, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

Odd thanks received from you

I got a notification dated 11 minutes ago saying you thanked me for my action from an automated action to my account in 2016 that gave me "extended confirmed user" rights.[1]

It's very unusual to get "thanked" for something that old, particularly for something that was automatic.

Did you thank me, or did I just discover a bug in the system? davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:46, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

@Davidwr: It was on accident --a gd fan (talk) 16:47, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
OK as long as it wasn't on account of a bug in the Wikimedia software. That was my main concern. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:52, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

Image without license

Unspecified source/license for File:Animated-Flag-Palestine.gif

Thanks for uploading File:Animated-Flag-Palestine.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like PD-self (to release all rights), cc-by-sa-4.0 (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 19:00, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Wcjdghost.png

Thank you for uploading File:Wcjdghost.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ytoyoda (talk) 13:47, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

Important Notice

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

@Doug Weller: Does that mean I'm in trouble? --a gd fan (talk) 16:41, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

No, but your edit to Antifa - or rather to two articles on Antifa in two countries - were reverted. Please don't do that again without discussing it at the talk page. Terrorism is not a label to be tossed around without discussion and damn good sources (hopefully not political ones). Doug Weller talk 16:52, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

November 2020

The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the article below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the article's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page.. Shut up guys a gd fan (talk) 17:32, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
Stop icon
Your recent editing history at Antifa (United States) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Binksternet (talk) 16:21, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Antifa (United States)) for a period of 1 week for not adhering to neutral point of view and edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: .  Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 16:23, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
@Binksternet: No, its because some antifa defender reverted my edit removing biased content, and he said it was unexplained. I reverted the content to explain why I removed it and now you are reverting my edit for edit warring, and my edit should stay. a gd fan (talk) 16:24, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
And why am I temporarily blocked from editing an article because I was edit warring? It was only 1 revert that I made and there are vandals and LTAs that have shorter blocks. And if you want to enforce NPOV, then remove what I removed, not suck up to terrorists a gd fan (talk) 16:27, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
Before you consider appealing this block, I suggest you read our guidelines on reliable sources, neutral point of view, original research, tendentious editing, and just for fun, no personal attacks. If after reading through these guidelines you think you can convince administrators that you'll stop trying to use two user-submitted wiki websites and a handful of Youtube videos to support the removal of properly-sourced and analyzed material that you happen to disagree with, then by all means see the guide to appealing blocks for instructions to prepare a block appeal. In the meantime you are free to discuss your proposed changes on the article's talk page, as long as you can do so without being disruptive. I see you have already received a notice about the discretionary sanctions that apply to the topic of post-1932 American politics, so I will not repeat it. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 16:40, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
You reverted twice and used rubbish sources. As for bias, political articles are always subject to a variety of biases by the nature of politics and WP:NPOV is how we deal with that. The next step for you if you don't change will be a longer block or a topic ban from anything to do with American politics. Doug Weller talk 17:11, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
@Doug Weller: ANTIFA is still violent, even with those "rubbish" a gd fan (talk) 17:15, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
And it WAS 1 revert that I made, not 2 a gd fan (talk) 17:18, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
The sentence immediately before the one you removed says This may involve digital activism, harassment, physical violence, and property damage against those whom they identify as belonging to the far right. You appear to have overlooked that. FDW777 (talk) 17:21, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
If both of those sentences stayed, then the paragraph will look ironic a gd fan (talk) 17:23, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
I had no idea it was impossible to engage in violent and non-violent activities at different times. FDW777 (talk) 17:26, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the debate. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the article's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page.

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you make personal attacks on other people. Comment on content, not on fellow editors. For the avoidance of doubt, you are to treat all persons with respect while editing on this website, per the civility policy. We give a very wide latitude to users making political statements and expressing support for various positions on their user pages and/or through the creation and use of userboxes, but we do not tolerate hatred nor hateful statements of any kind. Furthermore you are to respond civilly and respectfully to fellow contributors; your casting of aspersions that other editors "love praising killers" or that you "don't even care" are disrespectful and unacceptable. One more incident of this behaviour and you will be blocked from editing.

Please also see this important notice:

A tag has been placed on File:CropScreenshot123456qwerty.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add NoACEMM to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:58, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. Clean up tags

Please stop tagging articles for clean up until you have a better understanding of what it entails. How is this "lead to short"? It's a single sentence sub-stub. Tagging this article, created by an Adminstrator, as a hoax and pinging Jimbo Wales in your edit summary? Why? Here you put the more sources needed tag intended for an entire article into a section - a section which includes inline citations. While your intent is to be helpful, the outcome is not. You have only been using this account for 2 months+ and have more warnings and blocks than I would expect to see in 2 years of editing. I strongly suggest you seek a mentor to avoid further issues.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:41, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

@Ponyo: Ok, sorry, about the "hoax" I thought I saw something with misinformation, so I tried pinging any admin that came to mind, but then I noticed the references, so I removed the hoax tag. --a gd fan (talk) 20:47, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

You've been warned previously not to edit the user pages of other editors - doing so is now a requirement for your continued ability to edit Wikipedia, additionally, I would strongly encourage you to now spend as little time as possible editing your own user page, and instead to focus on material improvements to the articles that are the core purpose of Wikipedia. User Page / "Least Favorites"

Hi there.

The "Least Favorites" section on your user page comes off as aggressive, hateful, and generally un-collegial. I would strongly advise you remove it, it will not make you many friends here. -- a they/them | argue | contribs 21:48, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

North Complex Fire Caps

I appreciate your effort to cleanup capitalization, but "fire", as part of the name of a wildfire, is capitalized. Like any other natural feature that is lowercase when a general term it is capitalized when included in proper a name. (Think lake, river, mountain, hurricane...) Thank you again for your efforts. Your signature

Hi, your signature is non-compliant with Wikipedia's signature policies, in particular:

 1. Images should not be used in signatures, as per WP:SIGIMAGE
 2. <big> tags should not be used, as they can disrupt text around it (WP:SIGAPP)
 3. The yellow text is almost unreadable for someone with reasonably good eyesight, so will be impossible to read for people with visions problems, and as such almost all shades of yellow on a white background fail MOS:COLOR.

Please can you read through Wikipedia:Signatures and update your signature to be compliant with that page? Joseph2302 (talk) 16:00, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

@Joseph2302: The fire isn't an image, it's an emoji, but I will remove the yellow and big --🔥LightningComplexFire🔥 16:45, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
Also, your signature is currently 292 bytes long when the normal limit is 256, you are currently circumventing this limit using substitution of user:LightningComplexFire/sig. See WP:SIGLEN. PorkchopGMX (talkcontribsMerry Christmas!) 15:03, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for removing the big markup in User:LightningComplexFire/sig! As PorkchopGMX noted, your signature exceeds the character limit, which is actually 255. Also, it is missing a closing </span> tag, which is causing missing end tag lint errors. I struggled with it and I don't see any way of saving all aspects of your signature within the 255-character limit. I suggest sacrificing the text shadow, and going with this:
—🔥<b style="color:red">Lightning</b><b style="color:orange">Complex</b><b style="color:yellow">Fire</b>🔥 : —🔥LightningComplexFire🔥
That works, with 44 characters to spare. However, it does not address Joseph2302's concern over the poor contrast of yellow on white. I assume you are contemplating another "warm" color to use instead and I leave that to you. —Anomalocaris (talk) 11:47, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
I see that you have updated User:LightningComplexFire/sig largely along my suggestion, and you've added a bit more, using exactly 255 characters. Congratulations! —Anomalocaris (talk) 21:59, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
Hello @LightningComplexFire:, i hate to bother you again, but unfortunately you will have to change your sig again. It is 261 bytes long (over the limit of 255) and it contains a transclusion of a template, something that isn’t allowed in signatures. Also by transcluding the ping template in your sig you may accidentally ping the user named Ping. You will have to change Ping in your signature to Ping to fix these issues. Hi

Hey! I see that you like to do a lot of wildfire edits! And I was also wondering if you live in the Sonoma/Napa area? Cause I’m mostly into this because I went thru the 2017 Tubbs fire and kincade. Also I would like to thank you for making the Mountain View fire page, I was literally getting on rn just to make it then I see that you did it. But other than that I just wanted to say hi. Revert?

Reverting is for vandalism. Choose "Undo" so you can add a comment. I'm assuming the source you've found is reliable. Deb (talk) 19:23, 18 December 2020 (UTC) ...though actually, you don't even need to undo, just re-add the entry with a source. Deb (talk) 19:24, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

Could you add some context to that entry? Most readers won't even know what country the fire was in. Deb (talk) 09:53, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
