Hi, I am reaching about the Draft:Robert_W._Amler page. You asked about quotation marks in the references. Those are the article titles. I could remove that, but I thought that is what was required. Also, regarding the table of military awards, that is what I got from other Wiki pages. I rebuilt if necessary. Jrodriguezrentas (talk) 21:27, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

Quotes like this are what I was mentioning in the sources: ... "When I first met Dr. Amler, he shared with me the College's vision to create an incubator that would allow for biomedical innovation and creativity. What started as a vision grew into this incubator filled with nine biotech businesses, which has produced more than 40 new jobs and more than 30 new patents—and is now growing even bigger. What an amazing story for Westchester County and an incredible resource for this region," said Senator Stewart-Cousins...'
I'd suggest asking for assistance with building this article in WP:WikiProject Military History. Ktkvtsh (talk) 21:29, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

help

well i am new in this and have no idea how to use it BRAND ARI (talk) 17:29, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

Understood. I'd recommend looking at the Manual of Style and the Teahouse. Ktkvtsh (talk) 17:32, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

New Jersey Transit Westwoood Garage

Can you help me with the Westwood Garage article please? Danny5784 (talk) 16:26, 5 January 2025 (UTC)

@Danny5784, I've done a quick search and there are not enough sources to use to create this article. I fear it will not be possible, at this time, to get it published.
I'd recommend checking out Wikipedia:WikiProject Transport. Ktkvtsh (talk) 16:31, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
How many sources does the article need? Danny5784 (talk) 16:32, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
You would need atleast three sources that prove its notability. See WP:GNG.
I've looked for you and could not find any.
What is your motivation to get this page published? Ktkvtsh (talk) 16:34, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
I searched on Google for information and links. Danny5784 (talk) 16:46, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
All information needs to have a corresponding source with it.
There need to be sources that are focused on the Westwood Garage and not just mentioning it once. You can add more sources and resubmit it and another reviewer will take a look. Ktkvtsh (talk) 16:49, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
Kearny Point has 5 sources Danny5784 (talk) 18:38, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
I did find some sources but, do you think they allow yelp links? Danny5784 (talk) 18:39, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
No, I highly doubt Yelp links will be acceptable. Ktkvtsh (talk) 19:32, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
I could find some links for Westwood Garage from other websites. But do you think those will work? I mean, if you have seen the Kearny Point Article, it has 5 sources and those are useful because 1. It has Kearny Point’s routes. Danny5784 (talk) 20:42, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
New Jersey Transit Kearny Point Garage is currently at risk of being deleted. I'd bring up the draft you are curently working on at Wikipedia Talk:WikiProject Transport for any further questions you have. Ktkvtsh (talk) 21:06, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
Alright! Danny5784 (talk) 21:07, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
Also, does it allow CPTDB links or no? If so, I want to make a article of 24001-24060 Danny5784 (talk) 21:08, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
I don't know. Ask at WP Transport. They have more knowledge on this topic. Have a great day. Ktkvtsh (talk) 21:10, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
Does it allow articles like info on bus vehicles? For example, 24001 from NJT Danny5784 (talk) 21:11, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
I do not know. Ktkvtsh (talk) 21:12, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
I’ll try it out. Also, I did find lots of sources on Westwood garage Danny5784 (talk) 21:12, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
@Danny5784, Click here and ask it. They are more active and will most likely respond faster. Ktkvtsh (talk) 21:13, 5 January 2025 (UTC)

Re: Draft:Dungeon_Crawler_Carl

This was my first article submission and I put in work researching, citing sources, including official independent links. This is an upcoming francise that recently was optioned for a TV show and I was proud of being a part of the Wikipedia community. Now it seems someone recreated the same article and was accepted instead.

--> Dungeon Crawler Carl

You know I volunteered my time just for the chance to know that I made a contribution. Editors don't really get paid or even really get recognition, it's just the satisfaction knowing I made a contribution. But seeing this is terribly hurtful. It's unfortunate that beginners can't get a chance to be established in the wikipedia community like this. Dashthirtydash (talk) 20:34, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

@Dashthirtydash it is absolutely understandable to feel down. You aren't alone. There are usually multiple drafts for one article being worked on. I'd recommend going to the now published page and seeing how you can help improve it and make a contribution there. Instead of letting it bring you down, lift yourself up and continue working hard. Declining our submission

Dear Ktkvtsh,

Me and my fellow student ( User:Medea2003 ) tried submitting an article. ( Draft:Max Schradin ) Thank you for reviewing our draft article.

Unfortunately, our article was declined by you for reasons we cannot understand.

It is a direct translation from the already existing article about Max Schradin and therefore uses the exact same sources that are used in the German article. Due to the fact that this article exists on German wikipedia, these sources are reliable and the subject qualifies for a wikipedia article.

Both of us are part of a course called "Translating Wikipedia" at our University (University of Freiburg) which consists of translating German Wikipedia articles , either by translating entire articles or parts of them. You will find more information by checking our instructor's (OberMegaTrans) subpage which we used as a draft: Max Schradin Subpage

The decision to decline our submission has counter-productive effects because it is hindering the avaliablity of articles in multiple languages. Therefore, we would be thankful for you to revert this decision. I have added some changes and provided info boxes that state that this is a translation and we will resubmit the article as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance and have a nice start into the year 2025.

Draft: Wesean Student Federation

Hey, I noticed your comments, and have worked on the same. Please let me know if this is good to move forward. Draft:Wesean Student Federation

It looks better. Another reviewer will take a look at it. Since I’ve already reviewed it once, as a matter of personal preference, I won’t submit a second review. Ktkvtsh (talk) 10:55, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
Thanks again! I’m new to editing in Wikipedia, so didn’t know how to frame it as such at the start. :) thanks again for the thorough feedback, and for the references to improve it Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 02:34, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
Hey if you don’t mind. We kinda stuck on an edit for the page I had created. We are unable to reach a consensus and the other editor is accusing me without evidence after I pointed out Wikipedia rules on WP:UNDUE and WP:COATRACK. Could you have a look and give your opinion on the same?
thanks! Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 20:06, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
  • The sentence "‘Wesea’ has gained prominence among student organizations and civil society groups as a term symbolizing regional unity and collaboration" is too promotional and needs to be reworded and must have a source to back it up.
  • The historical use of "Wesea" by insurgent groups and its adoption by the WSF needs a source.
  • The article is relying on primary sources, the organizations website, which shouldn't be the case.
I do not want to jump into the conversation that is taking place on the talk page. If it was up to me, I would not have approved the page to be put on the mainspace just yet. Ktkvtsh (talk) 20:48, 14 January 2025 (UTC)

Driveby nominations

Information icon Hi! I noticed that you nominated an article for Good article status. You do not appear to have made significant edits to the article prior to this, and there is no discussion about nominating the article on its talk page. Current practice is that only editors who have significantly contributed to the article are able to nominate it (see the nomination instructions). I have consequently removed the nomination for now. Consider discussing whether the article is ready to be nominated with the article's principal editors on the talk page. This is in reference to both Miguel Junyent Rovira (authorship) and Scottie Scheffler (authorship). czar 04:44, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

Thank you. I’ll remember this.
hope you have a great day. Ktkvtsh (talk) 18:01, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

Question on HYCU page

Hi @Ktkvtsh - We've been trying to create a Wikipedia page for our brand, HYCU. We understand that the first iteration was rejected because we used an outside agency that didn't adhere to the guidelines. Needless to say, we won’t be using them again. I’m hoping the edits I recently made align with the rules. However, I haven’t received confirmation on whether my edits are under review. Could you confirm if the changes I made to the Draft:HYCU page have been re-entered into review? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! TyHYCU (talk) 20:03, 23 January 2025 (UTC)

Unfortunately it is promotional. Your username including the company name is grounds for deletion. I do apologize. I'd recommend you don't work on a Wikipedia article for a company you work for. It isn't illegal but is not recommended and, like you may notice, can lead to deletion. Ktkvtsh (talk) 20:19, 23 January 2025 (UTC)

Reconsider the decline

Dear Ktkvtsh,

I tried submitting an article. ( Draft:Shaking my head) Thank you for reviewing my draft article.

Unfortunately, my article was declined by you for reasons I cannot understand.

It is an acronym from the already existing articles about SMH and therefore uses the exact same abbreviation. But because the abbreviation for shakng my head does not exist on wikipedia, this is a reliable meaning extremely common among the internet users and the subject qualifies for a wikipedia article.

The decision to decline my submission has counter-productive effects because it is hindering the avaliablity of the actual meaning of the acronym. Therefore, I would be thankful for you to revert this decision. I have added some changes and provided info boxes that state that this is a translation and I will resubmit the article as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance and have a nice start into the year 2025. Asmabbas (talk) 09:56, 24 January 2025 (UTC)

@Asmabbas I will not be reverting my decline. You can resubmit it for approval and another editor will take a look at it. Ktkvtsh (talk) 14:06, 24 January 2025 (UTC)

MicroPie

Draft was declined for This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources, however it has the website and the GitHub page with the code. How much more verified can it be when it has the actual code of what the page says it does? What do we need to do? wait for someone else to write something about on a news site? Pretty confused about that, so please help me understand! Thank you! Harrisonerd (talk) 05:51, 26 January 2025 (UTC)

@Harrisonerd Linking a website on the subject and its GitHub website are not enough to prove notability. Add sources that are talking about it, not itself talking about it. Then resubmit for review.

Hi Ktkvtsh, you were the last person to review my proposed article “Draft:Tommy Combat”. Thank you for your advice. I have followed through with the recommendations that you made. formatting

This is User:Chief disambiguator again. Once again, thank you for making the reverts to my sandbox re: Ron Howell. However, I have a lingering issue. You mentioned in our last conversation how that the way I formatted the page "is 100% not how Wikipedia pages should look." I hope I haven't been doing this all the time. Please see my recently published pages of Murray Crafter and Bruce Douglass. If there are any issues let me know.

Regards,

Chief disambiguator (talk) 06:42, 1 February 2025 (UTC)

Looking only at formatting during a quick glance of each of the two pages, I don't see any major issues. Good job. I did not read the pages. If you would like me to read them, that will take some time. Ktkvtsh (talk) 14:12, 1 February 2025 (UTC)

Hi Ktkvtsh, I am working to update the Robert C. Robbins article. You were helpful in updating this article a few weeks ago, and I'm hoping that you will take a look at my latest edit request and consider adding the new information to the page: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Robert_C._Robbins. I appreciate your help, Navyblue1234 (talk) 18:55, 29 January 2025 (UTC)

@Navyblue1234 Could you make your request a little easer to find? I recommend putting it in a new section on the talk page. Ktkvtsh (talk) 15:53, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
Thanks, I just created a new section on the talk page. I hope you'll take a look. Navyblue1234 (talk) 15:19, 2 February 2025 (UTC)

Hi Please help me how I improve it. This is an authentic Civil Society Organization and doing real time work in the filed. I would like the world to know how an grassroot organization can reach up to UN level Should I change the Title and provide Reference of this organization in the content while keeping the content on some societal issue or problem they are solving.

Please help Ratychop77 (talk) 05:56, 3 February 2025 (UTC)

@Ratychop77 Currently the article reads like it is advertising the association. Also, it appears to be written using Artificial Intelligence, which could be a major reason it reads as promotional instead of encyclopedic.
I'd also be interested to hear more about your association with the APSWDP. Do you currently work for them? Ktkvtsh (talk) 22:33, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
