Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Control copyright icon Hello Kharbaan Ghaltaan! Your additions to Draft:Qsiakashdha have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Begocci (talk) 08:01, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detectedthat when you recently edited Quds Governorate, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Anata. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Hello, I'm Tenryuu. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Al-Quds University seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

To clarify some of the above, the prohibition on editing about the Palestine/Israel conflict applies everywhere, including your sandbox and user talk pages. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 22:59, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But why did you remove my message from that user's talk page. I was just asking him/her to edit it, by themselves, just this much Kharbaan Ghaltaan (talk) 13:44, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WP:ECR explains in detail. All you may do is post constructive edit requests to the talk page of an article where you would like to request an edit. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 14:26, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you continue to make edits such as this you will be blocked from editing. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 14:27, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Saddam Hussein shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into Draft:Oasoj. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:45, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to State of Palestine, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. nableezy - 14:32, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying to find out citations related to this. I am not sure that about which edit to which section you are telling. Kharbaan Ghaltaan (talk) 14:44, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Best stop adding uncited material in AI topic area (like at Jerusalem International Airport), that will get you into trouble. Selfstudier (talk) 14:49, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This entire change had 0 citations. Same for this at Jerusalem International Airport, and this at Iraq. You can't just write things you think are true here, you need to cite sources. nableezy - 14:50, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Nableezy@Selfstudier I've just been looking at this editor's contributions to State of Palestine. They have written 53% of the article. A lot of poor sources, but the main problem is that what they have written isn't about the State of Palestine but the history of the area. And even that made the biblical history look factual, ie claims about Egypt, etc. Doug Weller talk 08:21, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Shades of the Israel article. Theoretically, we should be only taking summaries of the leads of child articles, right? Selfstudier (talk) 09:55, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Selfstudier Definitely. Except in this case not of the history of the area, that stuff only belongs in "see also" in my opinion. Doug Weller talk 10:03, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Iraq did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. You also added material about the history of Jerusalem to Jerusalem Governorate

[edit]

I think it's better to just put related articles in "See also". That way you avoid your use of poor sources or simply wrong text, eg "The Roman era brought Christian influence to the city due to the significance of Jesus. It was the Romans, who first named this place as Palestine." That doesn't make sense and is just wrong. When Rome first conquered Jerusalem it prohibited not just Jews but Jews who had converted to Christianity from entering the city. It was only when the Roman Empire became officially Christian that it allowed Christian churches to be built in the city. The Romans did not name "this place", ie Palestine. The city was never named Palestine. The name Palestine in any case predates the Romans. Doug Weller talk 12:24, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Bible is not history and you should not treat it as such

[edit]

When you write about anything to do with the history of Israel you treat it as history. Modern scholarship is of the opinion that the Israelites emerged from within the Canaanite population and the religion that developed over time stems from Canaanite religions with Judaism as we know it emerging during the 6th century BCE. If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Draft:Ritesh Tudu has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://santaliwiki.blogspot.com/2014/06/ritesh-tudu.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Hi. I would like to thank you for your contributions on Iraq-related topics, however, I would like to ask you to please stop adding random images since 1) most of them lack good quality 2) and most importantly, please note that some topics on Iraq might be sensitive and stir up discord since the country is diverse and have had problems in the past and can lead to edit wars (which have happened before on several occasions) e.g. adding an image of a place/building/street which can represent an ethnic group in particular while other places of other group/s are left behind etc. I do not want to go deeper on this and hope that you understand. Lastly, most of the images on Iraq-related topics are chosen thoughtfully to be seen as neutral as possible. SonOfBabylon1 (talk) 01:48, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ok but last few images in Baghdad infobox which you added is either not good too. Baghdad and Iraq have world reputation. Their content on wikipedia shouldn't be outdated. I sent you this link, it contains high resolution image. Pls check it:
Kharbaan Ghaltaan (talk) 06:44, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't even get that it will led to issue of diverse cultures and dark past. I will find more links of good resolution images, is that OK?? Pls reply Kharbaan Ghaltaan (talk) 06:47, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Frank Inny School

[edit]

Hello Kharbaan Ghaltaan,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Frank Inny School for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Block

[edit]
Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistently infringing copyright. You have received messages warning you about copyright repeatedly, since November 2023, but have continued to post material you have copied from elsewhere. It is possible that you started editing Wikipedia not knowing that copying other people's work was unacceptable, but by the time you had been told six times, you knew. If you continue to do the same after this block is over, you may be blocked for much longer, perhaps indefinitely. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  JBW (talk) 11:25, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Close paraphrasing on Syria

[edit]

You have been warned above multiple times that both blatant copying and close paraphrasing (subtly changing some words with little significant change) is unacceptable. This diff involves clear close paraphrasing of the source, e.g. (copied text in bold)

Oil production significantly ramped up in May 1968, marked by the transport of the first barrel to the port of Tartous from a station in Tal Adas, via the Homs refinery.

Whilst you have cited the source, it is still unacceptable to phrase text in this way, unless explicitly quoted. Please read our policy on close paraphrasing and ensure that you understand it. – Isochrone (talk) 19:42, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
