Dashrath Hansda is an Indian politician, filmmaker and actor known for his works in Santali cinema. He is one of the leading actors and directors in the Santali film industry and is noted for his contributions to the Santali film industry across Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha. Hansda is often credited for "revolutionising the Santhali cinema" and "trendsetter of Santali music".
He began his career in the Santali entertainment industry as a music producer and went on to direct and act in films. His directorial ventures became landmark films in Santali cinema.
