You edited User:Bytesmiths' page, not User:Jan Steinman's page. I would recommend editing User:Bytesmiths' page logged in as User:Bytesmiths. There is quite a bit of vandalism of other's user pages including spam. Be cautious with using multiple accounts: wp:multiple accounts. You should disclose this on your user pages. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Hello, Jan Steinman. Hi, I see that you've stated on Draft talk:Neal Gladstone that you "have no relationship to the subject", but then go on to say that you have received photographs from the subject's family. This means you have been in communication with them, which very much implies some sort of relationship, which then almost certainly gives rise to a conflict of interest (COI). These may all be dealt with by a single application to permissions-en@wikimedia.org granting permission. However, it must be made by the copyright owner. If that is Gladstone, and his widow has inherited the copyright, that will be her. If it is the radio station, that will be the radio station, unless they have transferred the copyright to him and thus her by heredity, that will be them.

Ownership or possession of a file, recording, photo, proprietorship of the equipment used to take the photo,, make the recording, generate the fie, or being the subject of these does not equate holding the copyright. The copyright holder is the photographer (i.e. the person who took the photo [etc]), rather than the subject (the person who appears in the photo [etc]) or the person possessing the photo [etc], unless transferred by operation of law (e.g. inheritance, etc.) or by contract (written and signed by the copyright holder, and explicitly transfers the copyright).
