Do you mind?
Despite the fact that your "funny stuff" could be considered a violation of WP:IGNORE (but I suppose bigshots can do that), do you mind if I add something I found today...in a few days, so as to not acknowledge the vandal? If at all? And how do I get a custom notice box when people edit my page? 2D Backfire Master talk, guestbook 21:34, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- Nope, you can go ahead if you want (I may or may not remove it...). There were a few MFDs for those "funny stuff" pages, but since there was no evidence that people were intentionally vandalizing in order to get added to those (as people did when WP:BJAODN was still active) they were kept.
- My talk page edit notice tells how to get one for yourself: "If you would like a banner similar to this one for your own talk page, just go to Special:MyTalk/Editnotice and place whatever you want on that page." J.delanoygabsadds 21:39, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I had some in mind, but this one a few minutes ago caught my eye. It really isn't that good, but it's all about the delivery.
- Vandals know no limits in their ruthless destruction.
- Like I said, not that funny, but vandals really aren't anymore. They don't even try. 2D Backfire Master talk, guestbook 02:33, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
IP, now blocked
Sorry, J.delanoy, I feel like I took the bait; I should have just left well enough alone. Thanks for the block, though. Dr Aaij (talk) 02:28, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Can I ask a favour?
Hey, I see you're an OTRS volunteer here and on commons. I'm doing a GA review at the minute and I just wondered if you wouldn't mind checking the ticket for File:PaulAnka07.jpg to make sure it's legit- it's tagged a s "noncommercial" on Flickr which raises an eyebrow. Thanks for your time (I know you're busy!). HJ Mitchell | April Fool! 15:00, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
- The ticket seems to be in order, nothing odd with it. sddasbagyonaled.J 17:06, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
- Much obliged. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 23:17, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
WalkerWon (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)(his new sock)
Remember your indef block of this user? Well, they've came back during their indef block as a sock, and their fifth contribution is doing the exact same thing that you blocked them for in the first place. I would recommend that the WP:SO be retracted from this user, as they are obviously not able to stop the behavior that got them blocked in the first place.— Dædαlus Contribs 22:16, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- Um, the standard offer is not an official thing. It is just a semi-standardized offer extended to anyone, no matter what they have done. It is not a binding offer; there is no way to remove something that is not required to be extended. J.delanoygabsadds 02:11, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Runtshit socks
You have tagged a large number of accounts as Runtshit socks. I think this is mistaken. Runtshit is characterised by personal attacks on me personally, and focusses on articles related to the Middle East and socialism, or other articles I edit. There is no sign of this in the accounts you recently tagged. They may indeed be socks, but certainly not of Runtshit, so I am removing all of these misplaced tags. RolandR (talk) 19:29, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- In addition, the account names, while clearly related, are entirely unlike the names used by Runtshit. It is worth noting that, when not editing from the University of Haifa, Runtshit generally uses open proxies, and this vandal has probably chanced on an IP previously used by him. These proxies should be blocked. RolandR (talk) 19:51, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- Some of the accounts I blocked triggered edit filters designed to prevent his standard attack patterns. Indeed, that is how I was alerted to the presence of his sockfarm. If it is not him, it is an imitator. In any case, there were other accounts on the IP address that had previously been blocked for vandalizing in his standard pattern. Nomination for deletion of ACC templates
Hello! A few ACC templates have been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the templates' entry on the Templates for discussion page. This notice is because you are an ACC admin. Thanks! Avicennasis @ 04:33, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
Rollback
Hi! You have frequently sorted out some persistant vandals for me with blocks after I have reverted their handiwork. I am currently doing a lot of patrolling on the same set of articles for vvandalism / disruptive edits by sockpuppets of banned user Gameboy1947. As he is doing the same edits to the articles in quick succession and now reverting my corrections of his vandalism I wondered if it would be possible to allow me to have access to the rollback feature? Richard Harvey (talk) 14:56, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Inbound links
just being picky, but when fixing the DLNA client lists I was checking outbound links and came to SimpleCenter whose page was gone: you deleted the page "SimpleCenter" but didn't delete the inbound link. Speculatrix (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 07:39, 7 April 2010 (UTC).
Userfy Request
I tagged a page for speedy deletion, The Serenaders. The user who created the page left me a message saying that he didn't realize the notability standards that had to be met, but that he was just trying to start a page for them since they will be recording an EP soon. I suggested that he have an admin userfy the page so he could continue to update it and move it to article space when appropriate. When I gave him the list of admins who could perform this action, he left a message for an admin that hasn't edited in two years. Could you please restore the article to his userspace? Thank you. HarlandQPitt (talk) 17:10, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Can somebody fix Poke so that it makes sense?
- I'm not sure if the page was vandalized or not. User:Deskana apparently reverted a bit. In any case, I attempted to make the page easier to understand. J.delanoygabsadds 21:23, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Ever heard of Sonic the Hedgehog: Guitar Hero?
Someone apparently created an article with this, including the two templates below exactly as coded (without tlx):
{{db-hoax}}
{{hoax}}
Sonic the Hedgehog: Guitar Hero is a video game in the Guitar Hero and Sonic the Hedgehog series released in 2010 by Activision and SEGA, it features Sonic, Tails and Knuckles together.
That's right, the user also included the Speedy Deletion and Hoax templates in their own article. mechamind90 19:28, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's not uncommon for new users to save a copy of their articles immediately before they are deleted, and then paste the contents back in another place. The function of templates is not always obvious, so it is likely that he did not know what purpose that text serves. J.delanoygabsadds 21:25, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the Userfy
Thanks for the help with the Serenaders page...greatly appreciated. :) --Ecogeek (talk) 14:26, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Recent Checkuser
Hey J. I was recently involved (provided evidence) in a sockpupper investigation of Kia86khan. I've never been involved in one before and wanted to know if there was anything I needed to do to follow up on the verdict (the user was found to be socking). I've seen a tag on some user's pages that indicates that they're a sock and who the master is but I didn't know if that was something I should do or not. Basically, I want to follow through with the issue if needed. OlYellerTalktome 00:57, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- You don't necessarily have to if you don't want to. SPI clerks and/or admins will normally take care of it. J.delanoygabsadds 01:05, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- Ok. I just don't like shoveling work off on others but I think WP might be better served if I leave it to those with more experience in such matters. OlYellerTalktome 01:07, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- I tried to add User:OverG to the report just now but Twinkle choked up and didn't know how to proceed. They returned from a long absence today to request lifting of an autoblock from this case, edit history suggest possible linkage with this case and possibly other sleepers. Annoying IP account
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:24.190.129.18 No evidence it's shared. You've tagged it yourself. Vandal-only. Nobody does anything about it. How about you blocking it for awhile? SBHarris 19:43, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
User:J.delanoy/SPI
I was bored and was looking for mentions of my screenname on userpages and found this. I know that nothing serious became of this, but may I ask what was going on? I don't recognize the page creator nor do I understand how I seemed "involved" with it. O_o -WarthogDemon 05:49, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

- I'm not sure on this one, and I don't really have enough time to look really closely. Sorry. J.delanoygabsadds 23:36, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- Well, with all due respect, J, you can't rangeblock, say that we can't unblock without consulting you, and then say you don't have the time to respond to requests. Can we interpret this as a de facto assent to lift the rangeblock? Tan | 39 23:58, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- Here is the entry for the /19 block. It was done on 26 January, and it was anon-only, so I'm guessing that the problem must reside somewhere in this list of anonymous edits. However, I could not spot anything from this /19 IP range prior to 26 January that looks like it would be the occasion for a block. EdJohnston (talk) 01:46, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- If you want to unblock, be my guest. I have only three weeks left before classes are out, and I'm pretty much swamped. Sorry again, but yeah... J.delanoygabsadds 04:36, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

New user seems to admit to his old sockpuppets
You may want to go to my talk page to get most of the information. A new user, User:WCKingier made two strange edits, [1] and this. The first on is adding "confirmed" on the sockpuppet template and the second is Identifying himself to be a sock of User:Wikinger. I asked him if he really was a sockpuppet, and he responded with a list of User's he says he is connected to on my talk page. The last one on the list is his.
