SWORD

[edit]

Thanks for putting this article together. I've made a few comments on the articles talk page and I welcome your input. Just so you are aware I am moving the article to S.W.O.R.D. (The Saint) in order to be consistent with other articles on The Saint, plus SWORD only appeared in one Saint book and TV episode and wasn't a recurring group. 23skidoo 15:15, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, as you can see, it still has a diambiguation element to the title. But WP:STYLE says article titles do not include quotation marks, plus it's inaccurate to use the word "novels" since the group appeared only once. So to say (The Saint) is the best way to go about this, plus it is consistent with other disambiguated article titles such as Getaway (The Saint). I have adjusted all articles accordingly. I think the WP:STYLE jury is presently out as to whether acronym titles should be presented like S.W.O.R.D. or like SWORD. I'm ambivilent either way as long as its consistent. 23skidoo 15:35, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Teal

[edit]

I intend to do an article on him just as I did one for Patricia Holm, however I am still reading the books so I don't have enough information to start one yet. It would be Claud Eustace Teal as WP:STYLE says to leave titles out of article namespace. If you're familiar enough with the character to start up an article, please do so and I'll fill in what I know. The only other Saint character who probably deserves his own article is Hoppy Uniaz, but I've yet to read any of the stories featuring him. 23skidoo 17:09, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've now created an article at Claud Eustace Teal. As I noted earlier, we generally don't use titles in the article namespace (and Teal's rank changes over time, anyway). 23skidoo 18:30, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Moving articles

[edit]

Hi, You recently moved Life on Mars to Life on Mars (scientific theory) by copying and pasting the contents of the page. Do not do this. The only allowed way to move an article is via the "Move" button that appears at the top of each article. If a move is not likely to be controversial, go ahead and move using the button. If the move is controversial or the button's function is blocked, the move needs to be discussed first on the talk page or dealt with more formally using the procedure at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Copy/paste moves are not allowed because they mess up the stored history of edits, which is important for protecting Wikipedia from copyright lawsuits.

I am reverting your move, because an objection has been raised. If you still want to do this, raise the issue at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Note though, that the articles you were working on are now disambiguated at Life on Mars (disambiguation), and each of the articles links to that. I suggest that this configuration is better than doing the disambiguation at Life on Mars, because the scientific theory is the primary meaning of the phrase.--Srleffler 04:17, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation pages

[edit]

Hi again. See WP:MOSDAB. There are special rules for the formatting of disambiguation pages, which differ from normal article format. In particular, the only links that should appear on these special pages are the words or phrases that are being disambiguated. The information content is also to be kept to a minimum. The purpose of these special pages is not to provide information, but to allow a reader to find the correct article as quickly as possible. --Srleffler 06:18, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More move issues

[edit]

Please don't change the redirects between Life on Mars and Life on Mars (theory), nor the link to the former on the disambiguation page. The proposal to move the former article to the latter has clear consensus and will go through in a couple of days. In the meantime, it's polite to keep things simple for the admin who closes the move, by keeping all the links pointing to the new location of the article, with a redirect from there to the old location. This makes the move simple, and means nobody has to go through and fix all the links after the page is moved. By changing these links and redirects, you are just making more work for everybody and doing no one any good. --Srleffler 04:16, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fitzroy Maclean

[edit]

Various anonymous editors have been changing the Fitzroy Maclean page (including dates and titles). I've no idea whether the old text or the new text is accurate. Could you please give the history of the article a quick look-over. Thanks Bluap 22:05, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

4th Estate Cocktail (cocktail)

[edit]

The (cocktail) part of title wasn't needed. The title already states it's a cocktail and there's no chance of misunderstanding what is meant. Bracketed modifiers are only used when disambiguation is needed. - Mgm|(talk) 09:00, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Fourth Estate Cocktail

[edit]

An editor has nominated the article Fourth Estate Cocktail for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fourth Estate Cocktail. Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Fourth Estate Cocktail during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. Jayden54Bot 15:00, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. As part of the WikiProject Mixed Drinks, I have been reviewing cocktail articles across Wikipedia, discovering this article, of which you appear to be the sole author. While the cocktail you have described is interesting and plausible, it currently has no independent verification. I would be extremely grateful if you could provide a link to an external source in a "==External links==" or "==References==" section. This would also aid us in determining the notability, and hence final destination of the cocktail (if it is not a notable cocktail it is likely to be transwikied to Wikibooks). If you are able to add any information relating to the cocktail's history, origins and culture, that would also be extremely helpful. Many thanks in advance, Happy-melon 15:50, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove proposed speedy deletion, let the admin decide

[edit]

A tag has been placed on "The Fore and Aft" Regiment, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tdmg 06:27, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that people often post articles and then flesh them out later. However, it is best to make your article in a sandbox or subpage, and make sure its grammar/spelling are good, it is wikified, and most importantly has references that assert its notability. You should copy and paste your current article into a sandbox. If it does get deleted then you can repost an updated version that is worthy of a Wikipedia article. I want more articles on Wikipedia, but I don't want to include ones that don't have any references or are ambiguously (at best) notable. Getting the article deleted is not the end of the world, it just means that you'll have to come back with something better next time. Tdmg 17:07, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chauvinism sources

[edit]

Thanks for your edits to Chauvinism. I was wondering, while it was still fresh in your mind, if you could go back and add where you got your information. Wikipedia operates on verifiability and attribution, and it can only help the article by adding references to the new content. Thanks for your cooperation.-Andrew c [talk] 22:06, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of FUGAZI (acronym)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on FUGAZI (acronym) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You are to be commended for your thoroughness. Badagnani (talk) 05:31, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, that's very clear. I think you should add that additional level detail to the article about these items, since such discs are not a common shape of chocolate or fudge. It's a good feeling to properly document these things for the world, perhaps creating the best article anywhere about these things (something Wikipedia is great for). Paratroopers Brigade

[edit]

Hi Hotspur! A while ago you moved Paratroopers Brigade to Paratroopers Brigade (IDF), if I recall correctly, saying that it was not to confuse with another army's Paratroopers Brigade. Is there actually a unit with the exact same name in English in another army? Please clarify this issue, as I would like to move back the article. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 21:28, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not really sure what you mean by 'romanized text', but I really don't see an issue here. If the airborne brigade of another army is not called Paratroopers Brigade specifically, then there's little chance that someone will stumble upon the article looking for that other brigade. However, in case they will, we can always add a hatnote - provided someone creates articles for other armies' airborne brigades, or a disambiguation page. Right now 'Paratroopers Brigade' redirects to 'Paratroopers Brigade (IDF)' anyway, which kind of defeats the point. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 22:38, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
On a side note, I have also reverted your transliteration change, per WP:HE. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 22:40, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Bw6grizzly400x261ms2.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 04:40, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I saw that you added some content to Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech. However, you did not include a source where that could be verified. I am maintaining a particularly strict standard of verification on that page, as I hope to one day make it a featured article, so have moved your content to the talk page until we can find a source for that content. A tag has been placed on Nightrider (DC Comics) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Parley (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Travelbird (talk) 04:07, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Capt. Vernon L. Burge 01.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Capt. Vernon L. Burge 01.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Your edits to WAVES should not have been marked "minor" and should have comments and references. You have consistently been marking your edits as minor, when, in fact, you are making significant changes. Mhjohns (talk) 21:10, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Hayride (cocktail) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't appear to meet WP:NOTE guidelines; this has only one source, which is a self-published primary source written by the man who supposedly invented this cocktail. Additionally, the drink in question is just a sidecar, with a recipe in this proportion dating back to at least 1930 (as documented in the Sidecar article).

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This is an automated message from VWBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of National Codification Bureau, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://stampedout.net/odds-007-ncb.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) VWBot (talk) 13:36, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on National Codification Bureau requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hey! First off, let me say thanks for the work you did on the Barrett M468 article. You added some great info. If I may offer some constructive criticism, check out the Gun Structure section to see the way these articles should be formatted. It helps to have all the firearm related articles structured in the same way. Also, you should try to make use of the citation templates. They format the sources in a much more readable way and can be accesses from the edit toolbar by clicking on "Cite". Thanks again! --Zackmann08 (talk) 23:17, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on 37x145Rmm M4 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Hello, Hotspur23, and thank you for your contributions!

Some text in an article that you worked on Sir Charles Percy Graham-Montgomery, 6th Baronet, appears to be directly copied from another Wikipedia article, Charles Percy Graham-Montgomery, 6th Baronet. Please take a minute to double-check that you've properly attributed the source text in your edit summary.

It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on Sir Charles Percy Graham-Montgomery, 6th Baronet at any time. MadmanBot (talk) 05:46, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Jeff Jensen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Hanky-Panky cocktail with cognac

[edit]

Hi Hotspur23

Thank you for editing the entry of one of the greatest classic cocktails: The Hanky-Panky! https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Hanky-Panky_cocktail

I'm very interested in the history of mixology and cocktails and particularly one of your edits has caught my eye, but unfortunately there are no citations or reference to your claim that: "The original cocktail as described by Ada Coleman contained cognac rather than dry gin."

Could you please help support this statement by providing a citation? I know the cocktail community and myself would love to explore further.

PHALERISTICS

[edit]

Hi! I've noticed you've expanded multiple phaleristics articles I've been heavily involved in for the past few years. Firstly, thank you, your input is appreciated and quite valuable, always a pertinent historical development. My only concern is as follows, a lot of the info you include in "historical background" is taken from the intro para at the top of the articles. I used to do the same, I originally created my articles with a simple albeit complete description of the award and then went on to "historical background" or "award history", it looked good and made perfect sense, and it still does. But... After creating and expanding dozens of articles, I began requesting reviews in the hope of upgrading the articles' classes, I was getting a bit frustrated at seeing "START CLASS" or at best "C CLASS" for articles that in my humble opinion, had covered everything short of the molecular structure of the dyes used to colour the ribbon! The many reviewers were almost anonymous, the intros were simply too short, that one big sentence simply didn't cut it, and they suggested incorporating the historical bit in the intro... Hence why most articles where you see me in the article history are structured as such. Have you encountered the same comments? Have you tried to have articles reviewed? I assure you this isn't criticism, I'm delighted somebody with a common interest is improving these articles, I'm just wondering if we share the same frustration... Personally, I've given up trying to get a phaleristics article even close to GOOD ARTICLE, there simply isn't enough "meat" in the subject. Even when including historical data, one has to restrain himself from simply repeating the info contained in the article for that particular event that is already linked in the intro... SIGH What do you think? To "H" with article ratings and go for logic? Fdutil (talk) 15:50, 15 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I was actually thanking you and also asking for your opinion. Keep large intro paras or go for a "historical background" para with a single description sentence at the beginning of the articles? Like I said, I've given up on any chance of upgrading these articles above C class so... I'll stop merging historical paras into the intro and go back to creating articles exactly in the format you are amending them to. Since you're contributing a lot I figured we might as well do the same thing and not undo each others work for nothing. Cheers! Fdutil (talk) 23:24, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article AN-M8 smoke grenade has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No references for ten years. Why? because the article is a COPYVIO [1] All original research has no room in an encyclopedia.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to The Saga of Tanya the Evil, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. —Farix (t | c) 09:43, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Copyrighted images

[edit]

Hi there. I notice you are currently uploading a lot of blatantly copyrighted images to Commons and claiming them to be your own work. As you know, judging by the fact you've been warning for copyright violations in the past and even blocked for it, this is not acceptible on Wikipedia. Refrain from uploading copyrighted images to Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons or you will be blocked again. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. Mid-South Industries moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Mid-South Industries, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Whispering(t) 14:49, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I see you moved it back to mainspace yourself. Although technically possible, it is very strongly discouraged. Since the article is entirely unsourced, as reviewing administror, I returned it to draft space as Draft:Mid-South Industries. After you have added sources--and be sure they are substantial 3rd party independent published reliable sources, not mere notices or press releases, then you may submit it for review. please do not move it to mainspace yourself. Your draft article, Draft:Mid-South Industries

[edit]

Hello, Hotspur23. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Mid-South Industries".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Star Wars Roleplaying Game (Fantasy Flight Games) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in being blocked from editing—especially, as the page in question is currently under restrictions from the Arbitration Committee, if you violate the one-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than one revert on a single page with active Arbitration Committee restrictions within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the one-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the one-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
You have undone a good faith copy edit. This article has too much detail WP:TOOMUCH and in the game system section, relies completely on primary sources and needs secondary sources for notabilty. Please use named references rather than referencing each page individually.
