I am on an extended wikibreak and will be much less online than usual (if at all). If you need an admin, please go to WP:AN. If you came here because I speedily deleted an article, please see WP:REFUND first. If you have questions/problems concerning academic journals, Headbomb is very knowledgeable on this subject and always very helpful. Thanks. |

Hi, and welcome to my User Talk page! For new discussions, please add your comments at the very bottom and use a section heading (e.g., by using the "+" tab, or, depending on your settings, the "new section" tab at the top of this page). I will respond on this page unless specifically requested otherwise. I dislike talk-back templates and fragmented discussions. If I post on your page you may assume that I will watch it for a response. If you post here I will assume the same (and that you lost interest if you stop following the discussion).
I don't think I agree with you there, Wikidata gets way less vandalism than the English Wikipedia from what I've experienced. Nobody (talk) 19:48, 24 January 2025 (UTC)
- You're most likely correct. Vandalism on Wikidata must be less interesting for vandals. However, some vandals have a plan (e.g. redirecting a journal URL to a hijacked journal's website). Also, vandalism on WD is much less likely to be detected as changes on WD don't necessarily turn up in ones watchlist. I for one don't include WD in my watchlist because it swamps me with all kinds of minor edits. --Randykitty (talk) 23:10, 24 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Randykitty, I started a discussion at WT:AJ#Using Wikidata as backup for when |website is left empty in Infobox Journal that might interest you. Nobody (talk) 18:18, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
Hi, just a heads up about the filing of the above SPI. I believe it's retaliatory. See my question at the creator's Talk page.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:37, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
- I'm popular today, another editor just accused me of stalking them... :-) Thanks for handling this, Bbb23. --Randykitty (talk) 10:01, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
Hi Randykitty, I've seen you're often active on articles about journals. What do you think about Organon F? This is one of the 12 articles with the oldest notability tags on Wikipedia. Tagged since October 2010! Jfire (talk) 22:35, 1 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, I had a look at this journal and it is included in some very selective databases, so it meets WP:NJournals. I cleaned up/expanded the article and removed the tag. --Randykitty (talk) 14:17, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
