Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Hollowww, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Category:Operation Unthinkable, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. A tag has been placed on Category:Operation Unthinkable indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. Warning: Edit warring - Great Stand on the Ugra River

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Kansas Bear (talk) 18:20, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Battle for Kozinka, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Articles

[edit]

Hi, please discuss before creating battle articles on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. There really aren't any major engagements deserving an article of their own right now. Everything is organized as nicely as possible by a group of editors and there's probably a reason why a certain settlement doesn't have a battle article of its own. Super Ψ Dro 00:16, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as Battle of Wadi Bu Taga, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I think the main problem here is the geographical location of the battle. There does appear to be a wadi in present day Libya; A Google Books search (which, as a self-described "a absent minded critter", somewhere located in my browser history) indicates this not in fact an outright hoax, but quite possibly a minor skirmish Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 09:21, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I want to remind this message I sent back in March [1]. I will seek administrative action if there's continued creation of low-quality content not fullfilling the standards of notability. See WP:COMPETENCE and WP:NOTABLE, that there is fighting in a village doesn't mean we need an article if it is not given particular attention by sources. I again ask you to first start discussions at Talk:Russian invasion of Ukraine or other talk pages to see if other editors agree with the creation of a new article. Please provide edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Serbian Chetnik Organization did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! -- Mikeblas (talk) 18:22, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to the Balkans or Eastern Europe, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Bias + Errors

[edit]

Based on your edits, it is quite obvious you're incredibly biased, especially when it comes to the Bosnian War. I appreciate that you take your time to make wikipedia pages, but you along with another guy have infested the battles of the Bosnian War with Republika Srpska victories, when this is obviously not what actually happened. Many of your pages also have significant errors which it baffles me on how they managed to get through Wikipedia moderation. I'd recommend actually being fair when it comes to what pages you make and making sure they aren't loaded with clear mistakes, otherwise I'll gladly try and get your account suspended. Thank you. Setergh (talk) 18:21, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Battle of Valjevo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article is loaded with errors, has no proper sources (which are news pages and even contradict each other such as source 1 saying the Serbian pilot fled while source 3 saying he didn't) and seems to be quite biased.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
