Archie the Giant Squid moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Archie the Giant Squid, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — MaxnaCarta ( 💬 • 📝 ) 00:49, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
Eric Adams (teacher) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Eric Adams (teacher). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. ... discospinster talk 01:46, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
Reversion at Equus lenensis
[edit]It's obvious that you understand little about biology, given that you apparently don't even know that species names should always be italicised, and that the species name itself should always be lower case. It's Equus lenensis not Equus Lenensis. I spent considerable time cleaning up the article, and was deeply unappreciative of your wholesale reverting of my attempt to improve it using misleading edit summaries. Hemiauchenia (talk) 04:18, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Hemiauchenia dude, you may know more about proper notation and such when it comes to Biology, but I read the article that you claimed I wasn't correctly citing front to back and I am deeply unappreciative of your removal of the information I gleaned from that. Your blatant ad hominem attacks and ostensible superior know of biology do not make up for your apparent disregard of my research. I am thankful for your grammatical and style revisions, but I spent considerable time and effort on this article and its research. HmmmSimon (talk) 08:01, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- So why did you revert my attempts to improve the article wholesale, including reverting my adding the italics? You do not WP:OWN Equus lenensis. If you had just added the stuff back that I had removed then I wouldn't have been upset. Your research and writing is not as good as you think it is. You seem most upset that I removed the sentence about "allospecies", a rarely used concept (looking on scholar, it seems mostly used when discussing snails) that was entirely unexplained to the reader, and was only mentioned offhand once in the introduction of the cited paper, and not at all in the conclusion. I therefore think it is WP:UNDUE, given that no other paper has mentioned allospecies in connection with E. lenensis. Hemiauchenia (talk) 14:09, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
