Undoing edits

Anyone can revert a page to fix vandalism. All revisions of a page back to the first one are stored in the page history. To revert to an earlier version, just select and copy the text from the history, open the article for editing, paste it back in, and save it. When not dealing with obvious vandalism, reverting often is a bad strategy. It alienates other users and provokes edit wars. Stay cool, talk to the user in question directly, or try to resolve issues on the article's Talk page.

Please do not revert the same page more than three times within 24-hours (the three-revert rule). Doing so can lead to a temporary ban against you. Administrators and Rollbackers have a handy rollback feature that allows them to instant-revert vandalism by going to a user's contributions page. To revert only the most recent edit there is an undo link on the article history page or on the article diff page.

Deletion discussion about Feelings (Aliki book)

[edit]

Hello, HP1Pigtail,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Feelings (Aliki book) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Feelings (Aliki book) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Hi! I've gone and added information to your article, Feelings (Aliki book). It's one that I know is quite popular in my library. If you ever need help with sources for articles, let me know. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 22:31, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article The Lonesome Stranger has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article has been written in a confusing manner and lacks notability criteria. The article also doesn't cite any sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. BLPPROD

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! In order to remove a WP:BLPPROD as you did on William Boniface you need to add a reliable source which supports some claim about the person. A reliable source is something published using strong editorial control, in this case something like a newspaper or magazine with a reputation for fact checking and accuracy. I would suggest that you find three reliable sources that have at least two or three paragraphs discussing the person. This is needed to pass Wikipedia's general notability guidelines and if they are not present it is very likely that, even if the BLPPROD is removed, that the article will be considered for deletion at Artcles for Deletion.

I also notice that you have been creating articles on his books which do not appear to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for books. Please make sure that any article you create passed Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion based on notability and have enough reliable sources to verify the content. Thank you. (Please follow the blue links. These terms have a specific meaning on Wikipedia and the links provide more details.)

Jbh Talk 01:18, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article Valeri Gorbachev has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue removing Biographies of Living Persons PRODs without addressing the issue, as you did with Valeri Gorbachev, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove Biographies of Living Persons PRODs without addressing the issue, as you did at William Boniface. This is now the third time you have removed a WP:BLPPROD without adding a reliable source to the article. Wikipedia has very high standards for biographies of living people. The minimum that is required is that the biography have a reliable source supporting at least one claim in the article. Removing the tag will not prevent the article from being deleted if such a source is not added. It will, however, result in your ability to edit Wikipedia being suspended. In regard to this edit, who is Elliot Lawrence, and why did you assign all of Chynna Phillips's songs in "Bye Bye Birdie" to him? --Metropolitan90 (talk) 15:09, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Ernest Troost has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references.

{{u|wylie39}} {Talk} 20:15, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article 70 Favorite Children's Songs by Janice Kapp Perry has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unnotable compilation album

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
