Artificial stupidity

[edit]

From my talk: Concern regarding Draft:Callanish V Information icon Hello, Johnbod. This is a bot-delivered message letting you know that Draft:Callanish V, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 5 months. Drafts that have not been edited for six months may be deleted, so if you wish to retain the page, please edit it again or request that it be moved to your userspace.

If the page has already been deleted, you can request it be undeleted so you can continue working on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. FireflyBot (talk) 23:07, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

NO, stupid bot! I set up a redirect, WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESTORED when the draft someone else began was draftified. Same with Draft:Callanish VI below. Johnbod (talk) 04:42, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) @Johnbod: The bot is working as intended. It notifies the first revision users of drafts that haven't been edited in the last five months. Since you were the first revision user for both drafts you mentioned, the bot left you notices. It can't restore redirects or perform actions it isn’t programmed for, so you would have needed to restore the redirects yourself. However, I’ve taken care of this for you now. If you don’t want to receive future notices from this bot, you can add {{nobots}} to your talk page. – DreamRimmer (talk) 08:35, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that, anyway. Have you notified the ACTUAL creator of the drafts? I created the redirects in 2021, 3 years before he came along. Is the bot intended to work that badly? Johnbod (talk) 00:59, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
